    As you age and the environment, what we eat and drink, and physical/emotional distress greatly reduces Melatonin as well as other chemicals the body naturally produces.
    People who suffer depression and anxiety, and medical conditions and illnesses also suffer insufficiency too.

    Wait, I heard we produce melatonin during the day too, from the sunlight! Part of it just goes to neutralize free radicals. And that we can get an extra dose of it by being next to a natural fire or candle lights.

    I’ve heard the opposite...that the body gathers melatonin during the day and releases it at night. Please clarify

      Amount of melatonin released in the evening is determined by the amount of natural sunlight exposed during the day.

      Get infrared light (sunlight or proper NIR light). It triggers melatonin production in your cells

    If it’s so good for you. Why would I need a prescription for it here in Australia

    • @mda0214
      @mda0214 Před 3 lety +3

      Because it's very potent. One of the strongest antioxidants. And if someone is on some type of prescription, melatonin can over power it and make it useless. You can buy melatonin off the shelf here in the u.s. . But it's recommended to talk to a doctor if you're taking other things.
