Old-school gaming has been coming back strong. There's a few arcades in my town that have opened up hosting all sorts of popular 80s and 90s arcade games. It's so great seeing such a comeback.
Adam, so awesome that you came across Arcade 80's! I have been to the place many of times . Owner, Jason, is really cool and they have a great collection as you saw. Nothing better than having an itch to pick up a retro game for the win!
The Big Man makes me wanna do a road trip just to have him do an audio for myself lol. Sighs it saddens me when you realize how cypress gardens got erased.. from . .existence .. glad to know that marker sign still does tho... my grandparents lived in winter haven and we lucked out n got to go to that park when I was a preteen .. glad we did .. thanks for this adventure Adam.. and popcorn 🍿 is what I had for a snack to fill us up last night too lol.. it is a good point filler on weight watchers my mom said so it's the go to when the waistlines need to go down.. have a great Saturday Adam
Adam, I think an antique store video series might do well. They interest me anyway. Anyone else want to see antique mall cruising vids? We are the same age and I sometimes go looking for 80's relics. Have started a GI JOE collection and ATARI games too. I want to turn one of my bedrooms into 80's hangout. I'm currently looking for a working color TV that looks like a large piece of wood furniture. Anyone else's parents ever yell for you to come change the channel? Lol
Quick, Adam, they're opening Tron tomorrow. Be first in line (like you were at White Castle.) Be Boss Hog and don't let any of the kiddies ride it first - how dare they.
Dick Pope and his Cypress Gardens started the theme park idea in Florida. US 27 use to have acres of orange groves on either side fir miles back in the day.
Thank you for sharing the antique mall. I live a half hour away and never knew it was there, so I made a trip halfway through the video. It is jam packed with things to see, what a delight.
Hey Adam, I’m a fellow CZcamsr living in Lakeland! I’ve been binge-watching your videos for a month or so. Hope I get a chance to meet up with you someday. Like you, I’m a Pastor’s kid. A lot of the things you’ve said makes me think we have some things in common.
The Lakeland Antique Mall looked amazing!! Headed to Lakeland in September to visit family, probably will check out the mall! Sorry the Rays lost but I love the team!! Thanks Adam!! You come across some very fun people!!
I remember going to Circus World, which was replaced by Boardwalk and Baseball. I loved Circus World!! I was lucky enough to meet Dr.BBQ. He's a super nice guy!!
Back around 1981 I think my cousin bought the original intelevision console with football ,baseball, golf and a battleship game for around $350 bucks which was a lot of dough back in those days ...We would stay up all night playing those games which led to many blisters .Looking back the graphics were terrible but cutting edge for that time period ..We thought that we were big time ...haha

I miss the arcades we used to have in my area. We got an original NES last year. So much fun.
Baseball players owning Hotels was a thing back in the day. Mickey Mantle owned a Holiday Inn in Joplin Missouri in the 1970's.

I love my NES, still have it from when I was a kid and all my games. I'm happy to see 80's games are once again getting love.

Zack Hample never missing an opportunity to show off his balls. Great vid, Woo!

My grandfather spent winters in Lakeland back in the 70's and 80's, and whenever we visited we would always go to Cypress Gardens. Good times.
My son and nephew love Arcade 80s. I don't know if you noticed but they have some amazing memorabilia there. My son works at Legoland now.
