    I want to apologize for not finishing the last little bit of this song. I did not know it till the my friend down here pointed it out. I got so caught up in being happy to hear the song and talking about the meaning being so really cool. I'm not making excuses I want to put the Danny Carey video on there showing that he, you know, played tributes to John Bonham. Yeah, I didn't finish the end. I'm sorry.

      Thank you for being at the premiere today. Look, I will be honest. There is every kind of music you can think of And there's a lot of videos that have nothing to do with music There's a stockpile of **** Some of the good quality of light and ain't that good, I guess, or really good stuff that's in bad quality. We have straightened up the playlists to a somewhat manageable. gargantuan bunch of **** Nah, our channel's sloppy man. but it's real. We really like making friends. They really are friends. That's why I don't put quick baking stuff out. I really don't wanna much clothesline of people on the channel anyway. Not that they don't have a place to be or that they shouldn't be the way that they are, but they won't like me anyway. I don't like me sometimes and I talk about these things all the time and that makes some people uncomfortable. But we all beat these things. So why the hell don't we talk about em? I guess it's not a question. I don't know why I'm telling you all this. There's a bunch of stuff to look at. and there are. I was a creator before I started reacting to stuff. Let me start very, very broke with a $100 broken phone. doing documentary's like Layne Staley and Maynard tool in chains. I made a bunch of them. So I'm a rebel or a southern boy. He's from Indiana. He's up N. He's a Yankee. I taught really plain and my mouth have paralyzed from my wreck and they got no teeth from. Well, terminal disease and. Other stuff. But hey, I've lived longer than other people, so I'm not complaining. I'm actually pretty happy right now. even when I'm not. So we're very different. He speaks very proper I don't even know what that means. I mean, I understand what proper grammar is, but I don't really understand it. When you put a bunch of them words together. I know, like the singular meaning of each word. But when you go put 16 of them in a sentence, I don't understand it. And I gotta think about it a long time. I'm a tough talking. I'm high, man. I ate too many cookies. But I'm legally high say I hypocritical that is. I'm just saying I acknowledge that it. take advantage of it. Glad to have you aboard. Please don't run away. LOL.

    This song takes me back to my uni student days listening to this album on my crappy turntable and headphones while I studied, but the sound was great and Jimmy Page's production skills were first rate. This album was disliked by many at the time because of the level of acoustic content compared with their earlier albums, but for me, it was and still is, one of my favourite albums. So many good tracks such as this song as well as "Immigrant Song", "Tangerine", "Bron Y Aur Stomp". Jimmy Page (and JPY)'s skills in crafting the musical compositions which are LZ's tracks has made these tracks masterpieces and timeless.

      I'm not an authority on Led Zeppelin, but it seems like Zeppelin did what they wanted to do and sometimes people loved it, but other times opinions were polarized. Wasn't their 0:02 next album criticized for having too many keyboards?There certainly seems to be some classic songs off of this album. This one in particular manages to be both grim and fun at the same time. I loved the part in your comment about remembering listening to the album on a crappy turntable. I still have boxes full of cassette tapes and I remember listening to my favorite albums on a cheap radio or Sony Walkman. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Thank you so much for watching and we appreciate comments like yours. Keep rocking! 🤘🤝

    Greetings from Canada. The instrument that Page Plant utilized in their version was a hurdy- gurdy of 11th Century France origin- NOT Irish. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

      Greetings from the United States. 👋 Thanks for the information. Every time I hear about or hear a Hurdy Gurdy it seems to be in the context of Irish music. I did not know it was Canadian in origin, nor did I know that Zeppelin had used one in a rock song this long ago. They were truly ahead of their time weren't they? Thank you so much for watching. More Zeppelin reactions on the way. 🤘🤝

      @@oglschmitt Hi again- careful... I'm the one from Canada, not the hurdy- gurdy. And Zep died with Bonzo in 1980, it was Page Plant ca. 1994/ 5 who used it in "Battle of Evermore" (ft. Nadja Akhtar) (qv in YT). That one was France (Aquitaine or Provence) origin. The origin of the device generally is either Italy or (probably) Turkey. Peace, love and butterflies.

    I have always thought the sister was hanged in the end.

    • @DannyLeeOGT
      @DannyLeeOGT  Před 2 měsíci

      Well I'm not gonna say you're wrong I don't know I have always assumed that the sister gave her pudding away LOL and that's what got him set free. But I could be wrong I've never really looked up the meaning. I think that kind of defeats the purpose of being a reactor although I had already heard this song many times Greg was or OGL is the one reacting to it. I never thought about it that way though that the sister was the one that hung. So I do think she was swinging on the gallows pole but I just think that's a reference for you know intercourse

    His brother did bring some silver and gold but his friends did not bring him silver and gold. In the lyrics they said 'We couldn't get no silver. We couldn't get no gold. You know we're too damn poor to save you from the gallows pole'. Did you say the natural 'residence' of an accoustic guitar rather than resonance? I don't think you played the song to the end.

    • @oglschmitt
      @oglschmitt Před 3 měsíci

      First of all, thank you for watching the video. 🤝 We always appreciate comments but, and I don't mean to be rude, but this just seems like a series of nitpicks. I did say 'resonance' but I may not have said it well. 😆 Danny knows the song better than I do so I don't think he cut it off before the end. I will go back and check though. 🙂

      Actually, Gregory, they are absolutely correct. I am very sorry for not playing the end of the song. I was so excited, I guess. I don't really know. I went to show Danny Carey played. John Bonham's stuff as a tribute. and run our mouth I mean, I knew there wasn't much of the song web, but I love that last like Yell that like pans out. I have never not finished the song during a reaction. I'm so sorry.

    Did you notice JPJ on that banjo?

    • @oglschmitt
      @oglschmitt Před 3 měsíci +1

      I think I may have briefly mentioned it. It's a challenge keeping track of all of the stringed instruments JPJ and Jimmy played here. In my opinion John Paul Jones was an unsung hero of the band, able to do whatever was needed to enhance a song. Thank you for watching and talking music with us. Hope to chat again soon. 🤝❤️
