One of the big downsides to a V-shaped warehouse is safety. In a high-traffic environment there are a ton of opportunities for low visibility acute angle corners to cause t bone or side impact collisions. Anyone looking to switch over to the v-shape should look into mitigating these problems through a variety of means, such as adding extra empty "no-go" space at the end of each rack along the main corridors to increase visibility, or implementing presence detection systems or stoplights at intersections, or limiting vehicle speed to 5 mph.

Mickey-Would you advise against becoming a distributor for a franchise ? And if so, is it customary to pay a franchise fee to be a franchise’s distributor only? Keep the great content coming! All signal, love it!
    Appreciate any guidance
    Thank you

Dave, thank you for another comment and more engagement here on the channel. I am not familiar with this type of distribution at depth. It sounds a lot like what some of Little Debbie independents do. That being said, most of the companies offering the franchise have proven models/case studies of other franchisees making money. They should be able to provide this long before you pay any fee. I would consider paying a fee for something with a proven track record and some level of monopoly in your area. I would not pay any fee for a new product that has no track record.
      Hope that helped!
