  • It looks like a photoshop the amount of lemons this tiny tree is producing.

Awesome! Sacrifice the lemons by taking them off. The blooms would be better to take off in the beginning so that the energy goes to the root structure and develop the tree. The trunk and branches are undersized which is due to the tree focusing its energy on blooms and producing lemons. Also I assume you have had this tree for 2 years as you mentioned but remember it was 2 years old when you purchased it from the nursery. This is the average age you can buy lemon trees at the nursery or 3 year old tree which are typically in a 15 gallon pot. In other words this tree is undersized. More research is needed and you will be on your way. Hope this helps.

Aunty, I am so jealous. In San Francisco, the weather never warms up enough to grow anything.

SF weather is different yes. I suspect you guys can grow more cool weather things which here in San Jose we get very limited grow time for that before it gets too hot.

@@pepechangarden Mostly overcast days. Lots of fog. Average temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Native soil is sand. The only thing that grows well is potato. Decades ago, I had some potato sprout before I could eat them. Lesson learned. No more 50 pound bags of potatoes from Costco. I trench composted those potato with other kitchen scraps. The potato grew. Now, no matter what time of the year, there are potato plants in the yard, in various stages of growth. I get free potato all year round. I can't get rid of them. They keep coming back.

I don’t think citrus likes wet soil. You should place in a dry area. Citrus grows best in dry warm climates
