    Ooh okay someone will have to explain how the Ambulances work in Ireland compared to the UK! Because I saw some US style "Fire Service Ambulance" in this video alongside "NHS-like" ambulances too? Does the Fire service's ambulance respond to any medical call or just fire related calls or...?

    • @Badbhoys
      @Badbhoys Před 2 lety +5

      They are the medical emergency service in Dublin

    • @cm93431
      @cm93431 Před 2 lety +7

      Dublin is the only county in Ireland to operate ambulances within the fire service along with the normal ambulance service the HSE they respond to all your typical ambulance calls

    • @EO_15
      @EO_15 Před 2 lety +8

      The Fire Brigade ambulances you see operate the same as regular National Ambulance Service vehicles, Responding to emergency calls around the city / county. Only difference is, The personnel onboard the Fire Service ambulance are also fully trained fire fighters along with being paramedics, who are primarily on the truck. FF paramedics are put on the ambulance on a weekly / monthly roster and only operate in Dublin. Every other country just have NAS (National Ambulance Service) ambulances in operation. 🚑

      @thebestoo1182 Před 2 lety +3

      Dublin fire birgade opertates 14 fire-ems ambulances having all firefighters trained paramedics from academy.they responed to all 999 ems calls and for nhs like it is called nas[national ambulance service] and is country wide expect ni

    Btw they arent heavy rescue trucks they are emergency tenders and one is a emergengency tender with hiab

    • @0ne-6right40
      @0ne-6right40 Před 10 měsíci

      I’m not surprised they were mislabeled as heavy rescues (one of them literally has a “Rescue” sign on the back), because the UK used to use the emergency tender term a lot since its introduction in the 60s, but started to drop it in the 90s and fire “brigades” became fire and rescue services, ie. they wanted to better reflect its role in non-Fire rescue operations, hence why they may have wanted make the role of the Emergency tenders seem more ovbious and not so broad. It seems if the term has stuck in Ireland however, even if the “ET” is a heavy rescue vehicle.

    • @EO_15

      The yellow vehicle is an Emergency Ambulance & the Red, Mercedes Vito Van is a DO’s (District Officers) vehicle.
