For me personally, one armed-pushups are a major thing in my upper body training, as I don't have access to a gym, as I live in a rather remote area, and am too broke to afford a home gym, and just don't have the space for one anyway. My training mostly consists of one armed push-ups, finger-tip push ups, one armed finger tip pushups, handstand pushups and more. Sorry if this comment was a bit long winded.
Been boxing since I was 13 and I'm 16 now. Your videos have no doubt helped out with my routine in strength training. Godbless man and goodluck on your boxing journey, from one guy to another trying to make it.
The issue I have with this exercise is the form. Most people on CZcams have trash form on this exercise (excessive twisting, not going full rom). When done properly it’s a beastly movement but most can’t and don’t do it properly. I love Andry Strong’s form (wider legs and opposing arm out to the side) 👊🏻
Man im judoka and i need a video on how to balance judo and calisthenics or how to balance martial arts and calisthenics so can you please make a video on it
Ayo Barfour, im interested in the Pugilist program, specially the Body Weight Brawler How often do i train fighting and how often strength and conditioning? Glad to have u back man. Much love
Also, another way to make the exercise harder is to prioritize a perfect form, which means no tilt to the side and no wide legs, which will increase the exercise dificulty and will make your arm stronger
I do one arm push-ups everyday and I Stretch two I've been doing one arm push ups the past I start doing one on push ups Since I was 15 I 19 now I been doing one arm, push-ups Last month love this Video Doing one arm pushups is Badass it's Awesome
1 arm push ups might seem hard but trust me it’s not hard at all, the trick is to be able to balance your body well so you won’t fall down. If you can do 30 push ups you should be able to do 1arm push ups, but I have a problem I can only do it with one hand not my other hand one arm stronger than the other
Bro i feel like your muscular growth has plateaued. Like i was expecting you to be 100kg natty lean by now but you look more like 85-87kg. Considering how big and lean you were when you were 14-15. You've gotten definitely stronger though.
Yeah I specifically trained for strength. Not muscle. And for the past 2 years I've been focusing on boxing. I'm aiming to compete at 81kg later this year
1:36 The logic sounds good but not quite … the power of a punch needs to come from your legs into the trunk and hip rotation and extended into the arms. One arm push ups will not translate to a stronger punch. It’s only barely better than bench pressing if that’s your goal . You’re better off doing standing full body moves to express explosiveness rather than focusing on a limited range of motion ( sprints , jumps , Medicine ball throws , Olympic lifts etc ) This will definitely make your shoulders stronger though but translating into a stronger punch is a little stretch imo. It’s like expecting to be able to throw a football far just because you OHP a lot. That’s not really how it works but it’s definitely on the right track. You’re better off doing one arm push ups to get better at one arm push ups if you want to improve striking strength there’s a million better ways to go about it . Cool vid tho
ONE ARM PUSH-UPS are UNDERRATED! GOAT exercise! It improved my punching agility and power a lot. Last time I did 34 in a row, full amplitude, decent form. I am looking forward to 100 in a row and I am gonna do more of these to get there. But there's a little disadvantage to it, when you finish one arm you have to go with another, after your mental strength was already tested. It's kinda mentally demanding. Still, elite exercise 👊💪🔥
@@Lifeology8 just progressive overload, I think the video covered pretty much all needed to progress in it. Make the one arm push-ups easier by doing them in an enough inclined position, or on the knees. That's how you get the taste of it and the technique. Adjust the difficulty of push-ups by changing either it's inclination, variation or adding weight if necessarily. That's all you need to achieve one arm push-ups, just practice.
Yes, and feet kept closer together it becomes crazy challenging. Feet together? Only for the top 0,01% of athletes. I bench press 360 lbs at 214 lbs body weight, and I can't perform the Convict Conditioning one arm push up.
I remember having the goal to learn both one arm pushup n one arm pullup.....one arm pushup was checked after just 6 weeks, but its been almost a year and one arm pull up still hasn't come yet
I remember last year or at the start of this year I could do 2-4 fairly easily without warm up. I used to train specifically just that some time ago so no wonder. I’m just surprised that I still kept it after not training as hard as I used to, sadly though I think I lost it
Loving the content, I just became a father which has really cut into my time for training because I'm usually running on 4 hours of sleep with the newborn baby and the 50-hour work week schedule and pulling. I'm always tired. My nutrition's not as great as it should be and my training has been subpar. Do you have any tips? Most CZcams videos on fitness are geared towards single people, not middle-aged dads with a full-time job and a new baby. Anyway, I'm open to any tips or advice
@@B4FleX thank you so much! I will start applying the tips. I really really appreciate it. I tend to struggle with my consistency and I think the simplifying it and prioritizing getting more sleep and better nutritional help a lot. Also how can people sponsor your channel cuz I did the like and share thing but what else
Yoo, i wanan grow my chest at home. Any tips? Push ups are a no go and are too easy. I have 10kg weights, but still easy. Pseudo planches are a little harder but still. I watched ur vid on the diamond and pseudo planche. I can do a few one hand push ups still. They are not for chest. Any tips bruh
@bananalegend194 . Thx. U know calisthenics skill like bent arm planche, is it gud for chest and should I try to learn it. I'm close as I have 10kg weights to make progression easier
@@jojobizzaere1770 i dont think its too good for chest since im pretty sure its more of a shoulder and abs thing but i think it does work chest a good amount and its also good to just learn as a nice calisthenics skill to have and it can even help with planche a bit and other stuff, you should still train it as well as other stuff like weighted dips or such
Those explosives were nasty 🔥
The fact that u train like a real life goku is wild to me

try a decline or find a way to increase range of motion and if you can do that as well as weight, and if you have a dip bar then do weighted dips
