You really should prob just record this video over. The 2-bus/dbox mix up, is going to be quite confusing for some people. It was with me. Just my 0.02. Really love your channel. It has rapidly become one if my favorites. The ones with your kid are the best. 😃

the problem is hitting the dangerous convertor twice.. once while recording and another mixing. It's too hot it my experience. I have dbox+ and Lt with apogee symphony and I get better results recording straight into apogee then using dangerous convertors for mixing, and if I do it the other way it seems too hot to me, like signal is pushed too much.. maybe I could turn the trim knobs down the first time, but idk. I like having all the different tracks to be able to manipulate separately too, then combine with symphony, but maybe just me

Would you be so kind as to cover the 2-Bus+ "insert point"? I am relatively new to audio in general, and am being very selective about my acquisition choices (based upon what I feel will serve my needs best).

Thanks for subscribing! The insert point allows you to put any other piece of stereo EQ or Compressor before the final output of the 2 bus so you can control the level before going into your DAW.

I was seriosly thinking tracking with summing mixer. Especially bunch of mics for a quality stereo ADconversion. What do you think about phase allignment with 3 or more mics with this system. There is no back or later adjustments. How you handling these issues?

Phase alignment is a major concern so I take time to make sure things sound right. If tracking myself I’ll record and then listen. If it’s no good I move mics till its good.
That is the only drawback but it will make you a better tracking engineer if you can get it right before it hits tape/daw

Great vid. Very interested in summing. I want to get the six also. I have the Cranborne 500 r8 which has a summing mixer but I feel like I could use the six. Sum the drums on that bad boy. Send that out from the insert into my 500 series mixbus. Get things cooking. Any content like this is great. Still very relevant.

Thanks for commenting! That sounds like a good idea. Especially since the six has all the routing plus filters and compression.
