I usually visit the fabric shop called Rainbow fabrics in Kilburn Market, their dead stock fabrics are just amazing, I received my beautiful fabric in perfect condition and in only a couple of days. I can't wait to get quilting. I will definitely be shopping with them again. I highly recommend them.
I order online a lot from them, I think next time I would definitely take a trip to there x

I used to go to uni in Edinburgh, and I married a Yorkshireman, so I still visit the UK regularly.
I giggled at the weather in the UK being cold as we were still getting snow last week (on the southern coastline of Finland). That said, the damp makes everything feel colder when it's under 20 degrees and far muggier when it's above 20 degrees.
I'm with you i don't like Goldhawk Road and i think it's over priced. I've not been to Walthamstow, but used to like wandering round the fabric shops in Soho. I don't think there as many as there used to be there but they had some stunning fabrics. I think the theatre costume makers used to shop there. The Middlesex St area also has some nice shops, particularly if you like Ankara fabrics. If you ever do another weekend and visit Liberty's, it's only a short walk to McCulloch and Wallis, the most amazing haberdashery store. Glad you had a great weekend.

Me and Jen havent done liberty's together yet so its on our plans for next year. Pound fabrics keep putting stunning fabric up ive done 2 purchases in 2 week 😮. Always lovely seeing you all briwsing fabric 😊

I’m so glad u went to Walthamstow , soooo much better than gold hawk road, I went last year and was underwhelmed by it, but had a great time looking, but Walthamstow was excellent

I prefer also Waltamstow to Goldhawk Road. I come to London from Denmark once or twice a year and that means making a trip to Walthamstow. I never know what i am going to find but it won't empty my bank account.

Sounds like a fab weekend, i really want to go to the Birmingham rag market. Im local to London but they don’t interest me as much, I do need another visit to liberty as I love the building and I’ve never gone with fabric in mind although I suspect it will remain a looking visit rather than a buying visit as the prices for liberty are crazy!

I have been searching through your videos trying to find when you made this one. I am thinking the Avenir, but just not sure and I love it. Wod you recommend getting fabric from charity shops if just starting to sew
Hundred percent great to practice with and pound fabrics is also really cheap, sometimes cheaper than the fabric shops x
