I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚

I just want to say that Teacher Emma is like a dream!
I love you teacher 🌹. I learn phonetics fully from your CZcams channel. May God Bless you teacher
Your new video is easily digestible and practical to understand. If I'm not mistaken, in some parts of the UK, especially in Oxford and Oxfordshire, they pronounce the letter 'S' in words like 'strange' as 'ish,' which is not a phonetical nuance, but just an accent variation. Thank you so much for the insightful content.
Yeah! I've heard this too! :)

@@wiwinsuhendri4237 Me too,I'm from China, and there's a small grammatical error in your sentence. You should change 'watching' to 'watch'.

Emma, can these tricks be used in middle of words? Like strange, straight etc etc ..
What you have listed there are still at the start of words. :)
@@Pronunciationwithemma that's true yes....so what about when they are literally in the middle of words?
These rules still apply too. For example "education" sounds like "e-juu-kei-shn".
@@Pronunciationwithemma what about words like Android and Chemistry.Also...i might be wrong but sometimes it feels like words like "Secondary" are pronounced with the "j" sound.Does it actually happen or is my ear faulty🤣.Love your videos by the way ,I am actually going to USA for my UG and nailed all my interviews.
Yes, all three of those words can follow these rules!
