Yes the Medikit (and Shotgun) is for later. Time doesn't run in the menu in Tomb Raider 1 so no time is lost choosing the keys.
Time in inventory is not counted in TR1.
Trying to get Natla's Mines done today, hoping to do it in under 13 mins.

At 7:14 you could have gone with the other side. Instead of going to the right in your arsenal, you could have choosen left. Don't know if i'm making myself clear You could save at least less then a second i beleave.
