@@sachindubey5348 my eyesight has gotten a lot better 20/30 in both eyes. 1 of the 3 doctors still thinks the "trigger" event had something to do with my optic nerve. Encounter Diagnosis "Pseudopilledema of optic disc, left eye central serous chorioretinopathy, bilateral" My green in my left eye arent as vibrant as my right I am hoping that will come back.....Anyone know?? my night vision is also pretty bad since this happened. I'm worried this subretinal fluid caused same to the cones and rods on my retina
@@sachindubey5348 I got focus back to 20.20 but I lost color and clarity.. if I could do it all over again I wish I had done photo dynamic therapy or some kind of laser treatment to combat the subreddinal fluid that permanently damaged my eye

Thanks for all your explanations I experienced all what you said I have CSR and growing blood vessel after almost 11 shuts blood vessel seems to be under control but swelling still there.
If swelling goes would it be possible to restore colors and get red of distortion ???

I got CSR 25 yrs ago. My medical plan made me wait 2 weeks to see the eye doctor. I didn't know it was that serious. I saw the optometrist , ophthalmologist and retina specialist all in one day. The retinal specialist lied to me. I saw him for a year. On the last visit. He told me I had a hole in my eye that scarred over. I had hope for a whole year that there would be some improvement. I just live with it. I was under a lot of stress at the time it happened.

Ive been diagnosed starting from June 2022. Since then have dilated eyes exam, like 7 times. May I know is it dangerous to have dilated eyes drop so often? I have treatment 2 hospitals, 1 for Oct scan and another at ophtalnclinics.. both appointment need me to use dilated ointment...
Is dilated eye examination manually necessary too often even though I already do Oct scan?
Dilated eye exams are needed for thorough exam.
hey sir. can cscr devolpe rpe in the retina? fluid without pressure. and i look at PPE disease it is verry similore to mine. my docktor says i have cscr, but i have permanent damage. so i understand nothing, becouse cscr will 1-6 month go back to normal, i have read aboud it. please help explane. thank you
There can be acute CSR
But there is also chronic CSR...
I believe I might have this.... was in the shower and suddenly noticed a "ring" in my vision that flashed every time i blinked. It's been a month and it's just now beginning to fade away very slowly though.

Can CSR cause double vision? Like sentences doubling, but in white? So the sentence will be in black but the double will be in white and moving up and down?

I have Pigment Epithelial Detachment since 2017 .The doctor told me that it might disappear without any treatment .Yesterday I had OCT and Pigment Epithelial Detachment

No focal leak seen in CSR. What will be the best treatment of this condition.
My son has been diagnosed with CSR. He has experienced episodes during law school and now as a practicing attorney. He's been advised to watch it versus surgery. The doctor is reluctant to surgically correct this issue due to the location being too close to his central vision.
He was told to avoid steroids and to manage his stress.
What are your thoughts?
Dear Brian, thank you for your comment. I am sorry but I cannot give specific medical advice, it is not best practice and not ethical. Generally speaking though managing stress in any patient with CSR is a good idea as stress is believed to be one of the modifiable risk factors.

This is a very good question. Mindfulness, meditation, pursuing hobbies are some of the many ways.
doctor is it true that if the leakage area is corrected through laser than there is chance that you can see some black spots on the area where the laser burn that place. This is what the doctor told me

Can CSR make it difficult to type when looking down at the keyboard? I mean does it blur vision so much that you can't see the computer keys and are forced to touch type?
I got it in 2014, I got the back of my eyes photographed a few months ago, the fluid has gone but it's left scarring in my right eye so the vision will never be the same

Once scarring develops then treatment options do become limited.

I have this from sun damage for about 5 days can slowly see more central details now will it heal back to normal?

I have been giving Nevanac eye drops for 1 month.
No improvement or even deterioration: increase in mOCT PE: -296/305/333 micron (3 month results).
I eat turmeric pills.
Can NAVILAS laser treatment be good?
How much do I have to wait with laser treatment (I have been waiting for 3 months to see if it improves on its own)?
I'm a programmer, I'm afraid of blindness.

I have csr since 8 years and dont remember how many episodes i have faced so far. My right eye is blurred but now i feel my left is also getting blur. I am a DVT patient and taking blood thinners since 9 years . I need a permanent solution for my eye problem .please advice what to do , can not eliminate stress from my life .

@@dreyeforyou I don't know to write English very well.I have many bubles in my vision.Thay are 4 mounth there because I had some stress, some block in my mind because of some strong kid baby, after surgary of catarakta.Many bubles yellow, very iritate to me.I have Retinopatia pigmentosa but I see 70%and50%, miopya, vitreus not clear and I had catarakta.What you think about that?Is posibble that maybe the same desease CSR.?That bubbles are jumpig and thay are differente on diffetent light, when is dark, when is light, when I look in telephone, they are differente yellow, grey and always jumping, so iritate for me.

Patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa can get a build up of fluid in the back of their eyes that is different to CSR. I would suggest going for a test with your eye doctor.

I have CSR. The fluid may dry up, but it leaves permanent damage to your vision.
Hi Doc, the symptoms of CSR and macular degeneration sounds similar. So how to differentiate between these two conditions?
Hi good question. The answer is there are multiple ways. For example CSR tends to be in younger people whereas macular degeneration is primarily in elderly patients. You can tell from looking into the back of the eye. You can tell from scans. Many ways.

As the fluid resolves vision should improve at the same time.

hi doctor.. I was pregnant when I was diagnosed.. and I just gave birth lastweek after that i had an appointment to my opthalmologist and said the fluid is gone.. is there any recovery time to restore the vision?
Most peoples vision improves when the fluid is gone.

It can be treated successfully. But in some patients it can come back. In other patients it stays chronic.

सर प्रणाम सर मेरी एक आँख 22 वर्ष पहले पटाखे की चोट से weak घे गई थी जिसकी विजन 3/60 है। तया दूसरी आँख मे पिछले वर्ष जुलाई 2020 से CSR की समस्या हो गई । जयपुर मे दिखाया था। कुछ खाने की एव डालने की दवा देने पर ठिक हो गया । फिर 7 दिसम्बर 2020 को दुबारा समस्या हो गई फिर दवाई लेने से फरवरी में ठीक हो गया । कोई इलाज बताये जिसमे दुबारा न हो ( कोई परहेज हो या कोई दवा ।

Sir my self Ratiranjan Jena and i have this problem in my right eye from the day one of jan 2021
I went to one highly knowing doctor and he scan my eyes and told me that there are some amount of fluid in the back side of retina and prescribed me eye drop and tablets,but after two months i felt a little better but the colour of any object is not clear to my right eys so he suggested me to stop the drop and continue the tablet,I continued for almost 3 months but I didn't felt well so I went to another well known doctor,and she checked my eyes and prescribed me another drop and also medicine, and also told me that if it's not going to be ok then I need a laser treatment to cure,l continued it for two months and I completely cured but when i stop the medicine from last 6/8 days today I am facing the same blurred vision and a black spot ,
Sir I am seriously very much afraid to laser operation,so kindly suggest me what to do

I was diagnosed with CSR 3 hours ago. My doctor said there are cases wherein it just goes away on its own, but some require laser treatment.
He said the cause of CSR is unknown but stress is a great factor.
