I was just in Livermore CA at a luxury outlet mall this past weekend .It was 111 degrees outside and the place was packed. People are still buying luxury. I bought a denim YSL bag for half price. The prices were phenomenal. If the price is right I will buy...

I agree, i can't deal with one more 5 reasons to do xyz, i don't care, one day it's don't buy luxury but contemporary, or buy this not that. Also please don't do what i bought at the Nordstrom sale. Omg 😲 i don't watch any of the 10 reason why videos anymore. Buy what you want

I agree with you one thousand percent! If people are sick of luxury in their own lives, their own version of luxury that is, then stop watching and quit preaching to everyone else. If my tastes change and I no longer care about handbags, and it hurt to even say that hypothetically, then fine but it doesn’t give me a platform to fling that opinion on everyone else. I don’t buy things to be like influencers, but I do admit being introduced to items by them. Maybe I buy, maybe not, but I’ve found a lot of beautiful things to just think about or appreciate because of influencers. And I’m okay with that😊 probably some of my most influential purchases have been book related. I love hearing about books that may have never entered my sphere without you tube. Different genres, etc. especially. This world can be so mean and uncaring anymore that to treat ourselves is okay. Most likely necessary. And if we feel good about it, we may then pass some kindness to others, which is what is needed most. So if buying a new handbag or lipstick or perfume or book warms our heart and spreads kindness out, we all win. Hope you and Mick have a good week💕

I love getting to see new things online, but yes, it is the telling me what is hot, what is not, what I should buy, what I should no longer buy that has gotten to me. I am so so into books right now. I can't even tell you how much. :-) I hope to put up a book video next week and will try to start posting every other week or every week....will see how it goes. :-)
I buy what I like, what I think will bring me joy, what I can afford, and what I think will function well with my lifestyle. I couldn’t care less what others think. I started watching handbag channels after making a wishlist , to see their reviews of the bags I liked. Aaaaand… I kind of need the push, because after a ton of heartache and hardship in my life, I don’t feel like I deserve nice things. Watching you ladies helps me to feel like it’s possible for me, too.

I buy bags because I like them and not because influencers have shown, but only because I like them.
Never for the it factor, nor to be like them.
But I mostly buy what I like the most.
Bags that are different the ones you normally don’t see getting views, just different. Tired of videos one the same big 3 luxury brands.
I just love bags and so I really don't mind the brand, I just like what I like. :-) 💕💕

Yes a nice cold soda with ice. I asked my brother yesterday when I visited him what he wanted to do and he said lets go enjoy a great dinner with a big glass of soda with ice. It was about 100 degrees where he lives. Your comment remind me of that. I buy what I like but my bags are not luxurious but I find them to be nice. Hey there, Jame. I totally understand what you’re saying and I agree with you. I like watching luxury channels that talk about handbags, accessories, jewelry, etc. I don’t mind it when influencers give reviews, unboxings or give information or suggestions. However, I don’t like it when they tell me how I should feel or what I should be doing as if I’m nuts for not being like them. If one says luxury is no longer for them then that’s great and I would wish them well. But don’t criticize me or others if we don’t want to follow suit. The only advice should be about things that are actually harmful or dangerous or an FYI. I do like videos that say something like “the five bags you should be buying” or “the the 7 bags you never heard of.” Usually these videos are all in good fun and are not preachy or patronizing. Thanks for addressing this. And congrats on being married to a “French model!”

I agree. It doesn't matter, luxury, contemporary or anything else you think is luxury to you. All of the above. Who cares if you buy brand new, pre-loved or it's a gift so what right? Love your channel! I collect bags that I love and will never stop! Yes, I watch many luxury Utube channels because I don’t know anyone personally that shares my passion for handbags. I buy luxury and contemporary, but with all the price increases, more contemporary these days.
That is what drew me to youtube. Finding a community that *got* me and my love for some of these items. :-) I love to be different and stand apart, but sometimes it is just so nice to have people who understand.

YES!!! Show me someone genuine and kind. I will watch them regardless of content. I have found so many wonderful creators in this way. Rock hunters, metal detectors, readers, quilters, sewers, toy collectors, etc. I want real people. :-)

I think the only valid reason for doing anything in your personal life are your own personal reasons. As long as it’s not violating any laws, and isn’t hurting other people, your reasons are valid. And you have no obligation to explain your personal reasons to anyone.

"I thought it was weird" is something that totally draws me in sometimes. I bought a "ripple" cross-body bag from COS in cream-leather. Normally they make them in Nylon and the thin fabric creates this really lovely pleasing-to-the-eye effect... However, do that same bag but now in a pale leather and it looks like organ meat drained of blood. In theory there's nothing "wrong" with it, but everyone I have met that points it out says it's hitting this uncanny valley for them; it looks like something from a butcher shop, or from the set of Alien / Aliens... And I love it. I love wearing something that doesn't have anything deep to say but shakes up somebody's perception of how things are.
Oh I so get that. :-) I really like T-shirts that kind of tell it like it is....bluntly. I also am like you...if someone calls something weird, I may very well love it. :-) Plus, just the opposite, sometimes. things that "everyone" finds attractive. I don't. I do love to be different. :-)

I buy what I like. I don't buy a bag just because an influencer has it or because it's the "it" bag. I don't want a bag that everyone has. An influencer may bring a certain bag to my attention that I may like and buy but I don't buy it to look like them.
Exactly. I am like you, I don't want something everyone else has. I just kind of like something out of the ordinary. :-)
I enjoy the playfulness between you and Cameraman. The one thing I was not blessed with in this life was a husband who loved me. That’s true luxury. Money can’t buy that.

The thing is though, Luxury items aren't made any better than not. They also are unethical companies that destroy perfectly good extra product that used up resources to make, rather than giving it away. They're wasteful. If you support that with your money, fine, but be aware of everything you are actually supporting. Like child labor, forced labor, etc.
