The show has always had musical sketches. It's just more apparent these days, mostly because they know that musical sketches go viral. Remember how Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island buddies made those insane music videos (Lazy Sunday, Like aBoss, The Creep, even the poorly-done Daiquiri Girl, which they did because Gnarls Barkley turned down a chance to collaborate with them).

As someone who grew up in an immigrant family in america, bachelor parties were one of the strangst traditions that i was exposed to lol

Had a bachelor party a few weeks ago. Just like every other bachelor party I've been in, at no point did someone hire strippers and nobody cheated on anybody. We get an airbnb at a fun city, drink, play games, swap stories, eat great food... I'd like to think that's the norm now.

Sure the show has always had songs (Lonely Island rather than Planet) But there does seem to be more lately. One every week, and 2 this week is more than they used to have. I'm for it though.

We took a road trip for my brothers wedding. A week up in chicago. Saw notre dame campus.
Please most males have messed around with other males. They just don't brag about it. Most of the men I've ever slept with were "straight" as they were married or had a gf. If people were not pushed to abhor same-sex actions they would be more honest people are rarely purely heterosexual.

Alex's solo comes out of nowhere. Beck and Bowen sing frequently, and they're both good singers, but it makes you wonder why Alex doesn't sing more often if he got pipes like that.
Somehow I'm still amazed at SNL's ability to make me expect one thing then throw that expectation out the window and deliver something completely random.
Which is odd, because one of the main complaints SNL has had lodged against it is that the show is stale and predictable (it was mostly a 1990s SNL complaint).

I’ve always been the “bachelor party planner” friend and though this sketch made me laugh, it also allowed me to retrospectively contemplate those experiences and I actually regret some of it. What a weird tradition. Not to mention this sketch was a PG version of reality

It's mostly just about your last big party as an unmarried person. It's pretty stupid but they're fun. Idk why anyone would have them the day before they wedding though, who wants to be hungover for that?
