I've fought and won the pugilist using no healers and only a single torch. No weapons, no armor, nothing. But a torch. You see, if you set fire near the pugalists weak spot it takes an immense amount of damage, far greater than normal fire damage. Combine that with one of those dense tall grass areas to engulf the creature in flame set off with but a single torch and you got a perfectly roasted snake on your hands.
@@TheBeard777 Just to verify, it still works. I literally *just* did it now to prove it. Admitedly, its not a very good long term method of taking down the pugalisk, but if you are trying to rush him early, this is probably the quickest method.

For the staff, can you put it in an Icebox/salt box to preserve it's durability by any chance?... but say you've spent it all up, how long until next possible puggelisk fight for a new chance at getting it's skull for a new staff?
I got picoed up by bfb day 15 ended up on the island i got the water and bam he came out i looked you up so quick and when i started i got hit by poison xD i was playing as wheeler and i revived and killed him with less than 50% pig hwlm and a 64% Hel really easy
Hey since last few days when I generate a new world in dst with caves on it says " dedicated server failed to start", but without the caves it works well how to solve this issue?? Please help anyone 😭

Fire damage doesn't work on the pugalisk anymore. At least it's not supposed to.

I think it respawns as soon as you use the water
or bundle it up for later to preserve it
