Based on the lack of a follow up video, you have to wonder if any of this worked. I'd love to think it did. Perhaps jacking up a rotting cross member underneath a building and adding a footing was too much to handle.
coolant doesn't dry for a long long time this allows it to soak longer thusly deeper bringing the boric acid deeper before it crystalizes coolant is also a bit of a fungicide on its own this is why it was still wet days later it would take weeks to dry and during that time he'd want to keep rain off the log. which would be difficult documentation of all this is poor. likely why he added it in based on "I heard it helps". It's unlikely part of the Timbor instructions. Use of coolant for wood preservation is anecdotal in my opinion. I haven't found any hard studies proving it works, however, I use it myself with a mix of borate, borax and propylene/sometimes ethylene.

What was the purpose of the " coolant " you mixed with fungicide?aka antifreeze? Just curious.

Just wondering, why would you restore a rotten log? Why not to just simply change it.

and cabins are built cheaply
there is little concern for the maint requirements at the times of construction.
An experiment gone bad from the start. Leave these types of structural repairs to the professionals. (40 yrs experience here!)
It does not come across as a good idea to fill in the ridges and spaces with artificial materials. Changing the log would be better I think
