Real talk
I think they did it to themselves. These things were always happening but they were hidden from the public. That made it easier for people to unknowingly place themselves in harm’s way. Now, people are more hesitant to place celebrities on a pedestal and view them as the human beings that they are.
Yes!! I'm a gentleman of a certain age and I remember not knowing every single thing that a celebrity thought, felt, was screwing, took a $#!+, gynecologist appointments because yo' p#$$y stank, etc...I loved the mystery. I loved the glamour and perceived class. Now it's like a race to the bottom,( in my Funky Dineva voice) to see who can be the most bottom feeding and uncouth.

The big learning lesson here is to stop putting people on a pedestal. People are flawed human beings, including our favorite artists and actors.

For me, I haven’t cut R Kelly out ONLY because his music ties to so many memories for me. I mean I don’t listen to it every day but if a song comes on, I don’t turn it off, BUT I understand the R.Kelly cut off. When it comes to Puff, he is the producer, so if you cut off his music, you’re cutting off Big, Faith, Mary, Mase, 112, The Lox, Lil Kim, Black Rob….and the list goes on. Same with Harvey Weinstein…he’s not in any movies so how can we cut off the actors and actresses? That’s a tough one.

He entered my life again recently for 14 days and not one time did he apologize to me…domestic abusers do not change…they just keep finding ways to cover it up better than before…and they will always have supporters that will also go to that special hell with them.

In a way people coming out now is appropriate…for instance, if Roger Bond came out with his account of Cassie’s abuse 2-3 years ago before she was ready - she could have denied it and possibly sued him. You know Diddy would have assisted in making sure Roger would not say anything else. Basically, until the victims spoke up-it wasn’t anyone else story to tell unfortunately. With regard to Kim - she’s not here to give her account of what happened but Cassie’s and others lawsuits gave those who witnessed the assaults freedom to speak without much recourse from Diddy.

I don't have an issue with Cassie asking for money either. He held her financially hostage for over a decade under a contract he knew she could never fulfill. Cassie probably doesn't have any real skillset to be a viable job candidate or entrepreneur. She has to have ongoing rehab and therapy. Seeing that he is one who caused that, him compensating her is not unreasonable.

Fun fact (well not so fun cause we don’t like Puffy)….but Kelly Price worked with Puff in the past. I used to sing for a popular choir in NYC in the late 90s and we actually worked on a song (never came out) with Puff at Daddy’s House Studio in the city….anyway Kelly Price was there (before she became the Kelly Price we know), along with Puff. She was assisting with vocals that night. I’m not sure how close she is with him now, but they were cool.

There’s so much music out there and REALLY GOOD music. Cutting R Kelly out has never been an issue for me. It was easy. Puffy is no different . But I also listen to a wide variety of music so that could be why. If I was limited in what genres I listen to then it possibly could be more difficult to rule certain people out.
I’ve found that I love how curl la la curl crème does my curls, it’s just a very heavy product and it builds up very easy

Hey Rox! I love your hair ❤! I recently dyed my hair to a similar color and my daughter called me the Black Little Mermaid 😅.
Dirty Rob (R. Kelly) was different in the whole "not listening to their music anymore" movement. Quite a few of his hits were written by him about those underage girls he abused. Diddy's music was written and produced by other people and he took the credit for it. But it is ultimately up to the consumer whether they want to continue listening or not.
