Im so glad i was able to find this and now im here to share it with all of you.
Method Steps:
1. disconnect from teh games server that way no materials you gather can go to online immediatly. then go to free roam and near the mission area you want to farm. DO NOT pick up any containers while in free roam. Many people make that mistake.
2. Select the mission you want to farm containers in.
3. after collecting the containers, pass a checkpoint then pause and select Abort Mission.
4. repeat.
Important: If container values need to be reset, do 3 quick missions and retry the process.
I have no doubt this will be patched too and more micro transaction bullshit will replace it. but until then grind to your hearts content and if theres a new patch, dont get it so soon.

This method is so good for farming, thank you! I left my console on while I was sleeping and climbed on the back of the truck when I had farmed a bunch of staff from the code talker mission and nearly maxed out on resources, when I came back my r&d team had leveled up from 51 to 60 and my resources had been processed as well. So thank youfor your other videos aswell :)
Wanted to add a few comments.
Firstly, as of Tuesday, August 2nd, this method still works. Just downloaded the latest patch and I still had success using this method.
Secondly, "Thank You" and "Well Done" Game Pro24X!!! This is a stellar video. You did a nice job explaining the necessary steps and I appreciate the extra description under the video as well. You have a good narrative voice, perfect for CZcams videos or DJ'n. If I had any criticism it would be that you don't need all the extra venom towards Konami. We all know that their handling of this game is flawed. Your video is very professional, but the extra profanity towards Konami isn't worth lowering your standard. Even if we don't agree, I hope that you keep up the game videos. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more.

Still working May 11, 2020 😂 🤣 to get a balance with the GMP you have spent fultoning the containers and tanks, i also fulton the walker gears and then i sell them 😂 🤣 total GMP spent with fulton 210k (14 containers, 3 tanks and 4 walker, gears) if you sell 3 tanks (300k) and 4 walker gears (200k) per mission you are getting 290k GMP

well i have an alternative and superior method using d walker and f ballista, but im not sure if you have that unlocked yet. as for the processing check out that guide to understand and utilize your time effectively
GAME PRO24X no I don't have the ballista yet and to be fair I've not used that buddy yet. Maxed the others out though. I don't mind the stealth run its just the drip drip drip of turning unprocessed into processed...feels like every in game hour 1500 gets done...

method for anywhere.... start a mission (i like the mission (21 i think or 11) at nova braga airport) run through whole area extracting containers and anything else you want....... finish your main mission tasks, begin to leave the area, be careful not to pass the boundary which finalizes your mission, this can be identified on the map as a RED outline.... prior to passing it you will hit a checkpoint save, allow your extractions to be recorded, abort mission, restart and everything is back in place.... i usually do this about 4 times a day but that's also because i'm short 325 men on motherbase and finding suitable ranks. this has always worked for me. they key thing to remember is the checkpoint and not finalizing the mission.
Great video and very handy way to build up resources. I unfortunately haven't made it to mission 30 as of yet, but it works on mission 12 as well.

I hate the time sinks built into this game. Resource collection is bad enough but when you have to "process" those in real time... That's just ridiculous. Then when you finally can develop a grade 8 weapon you're stuck waiting 12 days...

Great video!! Thanks for the hard work and keep it up!! With this new patch Precious Metals are my bottlecap, think I need to come up with close to 80,000 pm to fully upgrade weapons. This method should help tons thanks!! Not to mention that the latest patch broke my rewards. If I accept my rewards be they daily rewards, or dispatch missions or rewards from FOB defense i don't get those rewards at all. I lost 3.2 mil in 2 days, luckily I got 500k back but still waiting on the 2.7 mil from FOB defense. Thus far Konami hasn't been much help with customer support, ugh.
And I just love how Konami is promoting their FOB and trying to bribe people to invade FOBs with extra cash rewards and crap. Hate the FOB system and getting raped by other people and then not even being able to retaliate.
I go there first with free roam and then select the mission but the whole place has no containers whatsoever just tanks and the walker gears. Is it because l did it in online mode? Or this doesn't work anymore? l'm on Ps4 1.08

@GamePro: Has the new patch increased the limit for GMP?
I watched Rob Cram's "How to Get Quiet Back After Patch 1.06" video and his GMP is greater than 5 million.
+Adnan Hawk yes GMP has been buffed due to the costs of the third FOB and I have the guide with me and the command platform at lvl 4 is 12 mil. so yea they had to buff the cap. I believe the cap is 30 mil? not 100% sure but saw that number floating around. if it is 30 mil then that means online and offline will each go up to 15 mil seperatly. Ill gave to grind more gmp to really know tho.
Enjoy the farm while it last before Konami removes it and makes it harder to gain resources AND add new stuff that costs a fuck ton of it.

The GMP limit is up to 30 million, but only 5 million offline with 25 million online.
you can actually equip the lil chicken head after dying 10x using chicken hat and it makes enemies 100% cant see you which make it alot easier, more fungsional than stealth camo

I beat CW2 five time & went back into farm materials, first go around went fine. I aborted mission, went back in & now the containers are only giving me 75, 40 just like the others. what am I missing? Ugh..
This may or may not be the case on other platforms, but on the PS4 version this has been nerfed. Whenever you abort mission and return after the first initial farming run, the containers are there, but the resources are depleted. Even red containers that should have materials in the thousands only have 75 or 100 materials each. Essentially, you can only farm each area once.
Perhaps if time is given between each farm to allow them to fill up it might be worth it. Since it takes so long for containers to respawn, perhaps it would take less time for the materials inside to replenish.

+GamePro24X Ok, figured it out. You mentioned that you need to start near OKB Zero in order to do this with quick succession, but that isn't the only reason. If you launch from the ACC and attempt to do this from there, you run into the issue I just mentioned. So it's not just a time saver.
I'm new at this....and I don't understand what you mean about 106 patch.....I wish there was away I can get my weapons and items upgraded fast... but I guess I'll have to do it the old fashion way. I'm so tired of screaming at the TV already...every time I get trash...lol I'm trying my best to understand these tips your giving....I'm still waiting to upgrade on my invisibility, then hopefully run like the flash too....thanks for the videos...

I got something to make things go just a little bit faster to save time. The very last container that you fulton go up with it. It will auto abandon the mission on top of making a check point taking you back in the heli. This way you don't ahve to run back to a check point and then press esc to abandon the mission. Then go back to doing the mission to resource farm as per usual. Also works with v1.09 latest update right now.
no, then you have to ride your ass all the back to free roam and then go the mission start. when you can abort and reselect mission.
Just tried this on 1.10. I started in free roam near the mission start point, selected the mission, cut scene begins with chopper, I drop in collect all the containers, hit the check point then abort mission. Went to go back and the container values dropped. Was I supposed to restart the mission again? I might have forgot to do that …Yeah after resetting the containers, I figured it out. Still works! Thanks!
yea you must be in mission to have the values retained. Good thing you redid it again to double check.
Yeah man, appreciate it. A few hours of grinding and I have the resources to build the last 2 platforms for my FOB! I also found this has helped the enemy preparedness go down for me also.

Confirmed this method still works in Patch 1.07 PC version (offline at least; as of now, the time of writing, servers are under maintenance)

hey bro thnx for the latest farming guide, i want to know for the material processing, walking onto the stone is the latest method? and also i noticed since your 1st farming guide until now, your processing rate is always above 2k, while mine is always below 1k, sometimes only it will go up to 1200+ for fuel, my base devlop unit level is 85, so i wonder why
well after 2 hours letting it running, my material processing is back to 800+ each time, again. i wonder is it that if you have more unprocessed material then you will get more processed material, or because i stay connected.
ok i think i really figure it out this time, because i am online so 80% of my resource goes to online, and my offline resource is very little amount left, so does the processing rate is very low, so i guess everytime i start the game where i am forced to go online, then i have to farm container 1st before go into afk material processing.

Man you're a genius. It works on PC as well, glad that I don't have to do risky FOB missions to get resource any more (for now).
But I got a problem: sometimes when I am extracting something that are not containers (Gear Walker, Tanks, AA Guns) I got spotted and resulted in Combat Mode. Of course I'm using stealth camo. So how come?
oh yea ive seen that happen and tbh i have no clue why that happens Nd its dumb. its like for that split second you plant the fulton, your visible somehow. thats why i bing that lethal pistol or rifle just in case.
another thing i wanna add is on pc its much easier to do afk automatic farming since uou can just macro the idroid button.

Works 1.10, however I left the area and the mission wasn't over and my materials arrived at Mother base, then it saved.
Question: if I don't disconnect from the servers, will this not work? because i noticed the online information currently says something about punitive punishment for cheating or whatever. I'm considering this method to pass the time until my FOB brig is empty (i've been doing FOB mode and have been doing decently at it, although I just look for low level fobs).

Do you have any tips for farming a Digitalis Purpea? I just developed a sniper that uses 26 of it plus 10 from my other equipment, golden crescents are easy to come by, it would use 70+ Golden Crescants and 30+ Purpea

Your on PS4 right? Can you tell me if going to "Power Saving Mode" will continue the processing of the materials or not. Because in my case it doesn't but I don't know if it's only me or everyone else is experiencing this.
power saving mode will put the game in rest or hibernate mode and all functions are halted meaning no interaction is possible during this sleep mode. however if you dont want to have your console runnning all night byt want yo process a good chunk of materials i reccomend using power save settings to put your ps4 into rest mode after a few hours. ive always done that and even tho the controller is plugged in and your walking forward. the ps4 will still believe the player is ni longer there and will proceed the count down until auto hibernate mode kicks in.

JustCallMeHomie i got most from it but i can safely assume 80% was just me playing the game and yes i played the ever living fuck out of this game. Im just surprised that many others find it boggling to have that much heroism. I thought you get a bunch naturally.
Not sure if I'm doing this too fast or not fast enough but I've had it happen where when I get to the last
tank and the three red containers out of nowhere a sniper manages to somehow see straight through my stealth camo, leading me to getting destroyed by not only getting stun locked by a guy with a shotgun but also the sniper, AND the helicopter.
And I never took it off either, so either I must have screwed up at some point, or the sniper has eagle vision and saw straight through me.
+Sensuo Kirito dont know why but for s split second when you extract a container your visible to people and idk why. Its very stupid. you should check out the alternative method Ive been using thats faster and cheaper
give the game your all,play FOB's online and resources not including vehicles and they will come a whole easier
Just off topic question, what's the quickest and easiest way to get that Radion suit? I haven't played online in a LONG time lol. So just got myself a new HP Envy Laptop and going to start again lol.
you just need to S rank all missions. since they all are tied to how fast you can beat it, dont sweat getting caught or killing as much. this game is very forgiving.

Unless Konami is going to sue Sony for the privilege of giving Plus members access to cloud save (which I doubt they ever will), then this method you have discovered, is a legal, genuine loophole around what Konami set out for its players to grind. I just wish I caught on sooner, but I assume it's still doable after being online and playing onwards.
So, basically, grind resources offline (tanks, materials, parasites, etc.), when done, exit the game, save offline save onto USB 1. If I choose to go online, play events, get S+ & S++ staff, event points and blah blah blah... When done with *that* online playing, exit, save to USB 2, and whenever I wanna bounce in more resources, just load in USB 1 save, remove USB 1 and go online with USB 2, right?
nice, skull face was a great mission to farm on anyway. ive moved on to playing the Witcher 3 expansion but maybe ill this method a little for resources incase i go back to playing it

i dont care about platinuming games, i played the crap pout of it, i just have some of the repeat missions and a hand full of side ops to do. but after 120+ hours it was getting pretty boring doing the same shit over and over

that one is really simple, just fulton children, dont kill people. Generally be a good person lol. I know some rare animals give you alot of heroism too and most rare ones are easy to catch.

Second, where can I farm common metal and fuel resources quickly instead of doing mission 30 skull face which is one of the fastest, I think this method only works with free roaming and not aborting mission to go back to ACC. Because I did that on mission 30 skull face and it doesn't work. :(

Or you can infiltrate BD platform, kill/stun everybody in the last platform, then extract the containers.
Go in free roam, get to an outpost, it should save the checkpoint, STOP.
Be idle and it might not max it out but still, gives you 40% of resources.
Is the truck resource processing method still working in 1.07? I didn't realise I started the game in online mode so intend to process everything, sell loads of shit, put everything in to building and research, then switch to offline.

Having the same issue myself, it was getting better recently and went away completely yesterday, but returned today with a vengeance, so that now I basically have to stop driving for a few seconds each time I come to a checkpoint or risk crashing.
