- Due to some concerns this method may get you banned and should proceed with caution and pace yourself, change up the dummy save a bit from time to time and makes sure its not the same thing for the first 100 times you do the method. Ive yet to really see people get banned over it but one thing they mentioned is that if your given the terms agreement ad its always there despite you saying yes than thats a sign.

I know i mostly didnt explain it as clearly as i shouldove and i apologize but someone commented the best way to explain this method possible.
IMPORTANT if you want this to work with little fail then make sure you have 500k on your offline materials processed or else the game will take only little bits at a time. but trust me its worth the grind.
1. Go into game while offline, max out your resources and back out
2. Copy it to usb A and B
3. Now go back into game, log in online to put your resources online then back out. Just go to free roam and check if anything was moved.
4. Now delete your console file
5. Now go to Flash A (which has your max out resources) and copy
it to the console
6. Now it becomes a dummy console file
7. Now go into the game, put it online, Get resources, now exit.
8. If you want to add more resources repeat steps 4-7.
9. Now once you're maxed out online you now delete dummy console file and then copy from flash B back to console
10. Then go and play normally like nothing happened
11. If you want to do this method again after you have played on save B you must update flash B (copy console save into flash B, the one youve been playing on normally this whole time).
12. To add more resources repeat 5-7.
13. Once your done capping out on resources repeat steps 9 and 10.
It May sound complicated but once you've understand and practiced it, itll be done in so little time youd be shocked that you use to refarm materials the primitive way.
I think this is it for farming, this is the best thing I could give to you guys and I hope you enjoy it. Now i can actually review weapons n such due to the fact that resources is no longer a concern.

1.create the dummy file, put it in flash A
2.connect online so the offline resources can move to your online resource amount
3.now if you made any progress after going online you can backup the save file on flash B
4.copy the dummy you created from flash A to the console
5.go online again so the resources can do its thing again, make sure they went online though, sometimes they just stay in offline even after you connected
6.Now since the dummy file doesn't have the progress you made, you need to copy back from flash B to the console.
And done, since you connected twice, if you capped the processed/unprocessed on the dummy save, you should have 1mil of each resources on your online inventory.
If you run out of resources just repeat from step 3

I have been farming offline for a day now but I'm a bit CONCERNED from reading the comments. Basically I have 3 platforms being developed on my forth BASE but reading the comments it seems some people have had issues where the base platforms stopped developing. When I go online and transfer my resources online.. Do I now copy over this save as my LEGIT SAVE FILE? Since this save will show how far my bases have come into development. Then restock using the dummy file and once I have hit the cap I can continue playing on my LEGIT SAVE FILE? Or am I missing something?
I actually play on PS3, offline. But watching this progression of videos, even though I can't use any of the online stuff, I'm thoroughly impressed with your ingenuity in figuring this out. Spot on, man. Also, yes, fuck Konami, If I did play online, I'd love to be able to name my unit "Kojima's Army" if it were possible.

I created my dummy profile. And I uploaded the resources to my profile. And when I was done I saved it in 2 usb. And if I load my dummy usb on my ps4 i lose the fob construction progress.

I just finished reasearching and it turns out this is not possible on xbox one. Xbone doesnt allow you to copy saved game data to a usb. its all stored on x cloud
are these infinity farming methods can only be spend on those online equipments ( highlighted in gold)?
you are right MGS was only a single player game with MGS5 and these things they made MGS5 an online game. The time you must spend to farm without doing FOB`s is just insane. the cost of the developement are exploding at some point.
Thats why for me MGS5 is the only MGS game i not played for month to see the end.
Its just sucks to must farm only to have the things i wanted.

For a player that played every MGS game ( since i was a child and MGS for ps1 came out new ) and spend hours to enoy the story and the characters its just a shame that they make MGS5 so stupid so i must play fob to have all the weapons and so on.

SuperGodzilla99 I stopped playing MGS5 without seeing the ending for months on end. I went back to it recently to power thru the main missions just to finish off the mediocre storyline.
At least the gameplay in general is nice. With these vids tho it makes me feel like playing the game again.

1CRAZYMF249 no your the idiot for failing to realize how it is forced. They essentially raised the prices so stupidly high and gave so much better rewards to fob that in single player you cannot gather the amount in a fashionable or timely manner without grinding for months at a time. and konami has made it more enticing while never changing single player but giving more and more benefits to fob. Yes it is forced because if you want to unlock single player content in a faster manner you HAVE to play FOB's meaning you HAVE to pay for live or psn and if you dont want your shit stolen from retaliation you pretty much have to buy insurgence too. yea it is a huge fuck you to the community and its a shameful business tactic and a form of power creep but you can call it resource creep. Nobody is physically forcing anybody but tehe way how they managed it its play fobs or do nothing because playing single player only will not get you enough for anything ew that comes out. Alot of people realize this but you and the only people that would ever be so against this method are people who play fobs regularly and are appalled that there is a method that can net them more in a shorter amount of time. they will no longer feel like a big macho with all theyre new toys and resources because now everybody can have it. Its like discovering free energy to power cities for eternity, yea its a huge betterment to mankind but you know who wouldnt like it? the government and the electrical companies because now nobody will buy their shit. Im use to farming so I know that kind of life but the true goal of a farmer is to find a method that will get you more for less effort or ultimately no effort. I have succeeded and the world knows and now we can enjoy the new shiny weapons that come out every so often. PF rankings, Fob's, theyre not that important. So many people are happy now that they dont have to overwhelm themselves with FOB's over and over again. Im sorry it hasnt for you.

correct me if I'm wrong, just want to make sure I do it the right way the first time.
1. farm/collect for an hour or more as much as you can OFFLINE.
2. when ready to transfer, end the game, then copy over save data to use A while OFFLINE
3. Go back into game, at the menu manually connect ONLINE, save data from usb A will automatically transfer once connected online.

I'm glad I learned of this method. Using a PS3, I just copy the saves to backup users rather than using external hard drives. I'm finally developing the last 4 items available for staff levels below 110, there's still about 13 items but I need to level up more. Learning this trick gave me a better understanding of what data is saved online and offline.
I'm kind of pissed when I finally got enough coins for my 4th FOB, I realized that building the platforms consume your offline materials first and the decision to build the platforms has to be saved offline even though you have to be online to even begin construction. I started to look up farming methods again because of that and thankfully found your alternative to offline farming.
Also, I don't know if anyone mentioned it before, but the rate at which resources are deposited seem to occur in time blocks in my experience. So after the first deposit, the next will occur after 10 mins but, only 5000 fuel, bio, common, 2500 minor, and 2000 precious will be moved (not sure about the other resources). I'm not sure if there's a limit to deposits but nevertheless, you have to wait until enough time passes to transfer resources offline to online up to the point where offline amount is 10% of your total amount before you repeat the process.
So this method works on ps3?

it mentioned something about malicious/cheating conduct regarding "Save files".

This method however is not reverse engineering or using any software to modify it at all. YOU are simply having a back up save on another flash drive and moving it back over. If you think about it what if your file gets corrupted and you dont have psn cloud saving but you had a copy on your flash drive. then to be banned because you you picked up right where you left off. I understand teh concern but it doesnt look like this falls into any act of malicious/ cheating.

I've been using your AFK farming tutorial and its worked great (the rock and rubber band etc)
And I was getting 2500 Fuel every 12 mins (at A rank). But now, it seems to be around 800 every cycle.
Any idea as to why? I had plenty of unprocessed stuff to go on. But all the processing seemed cut right down.
Kev Guitar Tutor when it mentioned about the saves it was saying that for any reason Konami can delete your online save it your fob progress n such and stats on your pf rank etc. So it was letting you know about that however again as it was stated before using any software to tamper with your save is seen as malicious/cheating infinity farming does not require you to uplink your save to your computer, mess with coding and your profile. It's a simple you move your data to one flash drive and move it back when you need need a refill.
Kev Guitar Tutor your second question also depends on how much unprocessed materials you have left. If you have a small few then it'll cut back. So grind up a lot more to retain it's full 2500 value per process
next we need a similar S++ soldiers farming method
+Rob C actually i think you can, someone told me that it could be possible to duplicate S+ staff. heres what i imagine would go down. Save your current game and use it as the dummy on a third flashdrive then connect online and send your S+ soldiers (on teh dummy account) on a simple mission in the ONLINE dispatch missions. then you can delete that file, swap it back in with the dummy file that wasnt touched and do it again on another mission. Then on your legit game file once the dispatch mission is over those soldiers "come back" of course some will be dead n such but the silly thing is YOU did not waste a single soldier on YOUR legit game so you are "getting back" staff that never existed in your game. O.O i think imma make a sequel to infinity farming :)
+GamePro24X I was duplicating S++ soldiers with a buddy a different way but it kinda takes alot of time, we would have a dummy FOB (ex. Command Platform Lv 1 with no devices just S++ soldiers) we would take turns invading each other and keep a copy in the cloud of the save file but it takes a long time cause they are in the FOB Brig for days :-( (we noticed that medals carry over as well so we have a few S++ soldiers with all 3 medals

i hope we don't get catch for doing that farming... I did try the S+ farm but you only get your soldiers back without diying or hurting... but not duplicate.
+GamePro24X This method doesn't sound like it would work. When you send soldiers on an online dispatch mission, they are still in your MB unit, they are simply locked until the mission is over. You can see them in your staff management menu with a small "X" in the select-box. So doing any sort of save swapping wouldn't net you duplicate soldiers as they're technically never removed from your MB staff.
However, the FOB method +Rob C describes could work. When FOB insurance was first rolled out, people would pair up and fulton S+/S++ soldiers from each other. The invader would gain the S+/S++ soldiers they fultoned, but the defender would not lose any due to having the insurance. I think Konami has since patched that, but can't be positive as I've never used the insurance myself.
+GAME PRO 24X so let me shortly recap the method to see uf I really understood.
1.Stay offline and farm the shit out of mgs till your resource storage is full.
2. Copy that save data to a flash drive (I'll still have to figure out how to do that)
3. Then copy the data again on an other flash (as backup file?)
4. Then go online and let you offline stuff jump over to online
5.go offline and delete that "empty" offline data
6. upload that dummy file und go online again
7. and so on?
I wan't to make sure I'm right before I do this cause I don't wanna fuck up.
AND big thank you at this point for all that research and "experimenting" you did just to help us poor guys out. Otherwise the game would quickly lose attraction due to all of those stupid patches and utterly high requirements. I won't shove up any cent into Konami's ass.

Does this still work? Also, I hate the online storage thing. It should store everything all the same offline. It really makes me wonder how gimped you will be once the servers go offline for good.

i addressed that issue, yes you could technically get banned but i along with many others havnt. ive yet t even hear 1 person getting banned over this. especially now 5+ years later. The method works. it just takes time

it's not working on online weapon development. when I develop an online weapon then override with my infinity farm backup save file nothing is being developed nor loss of resources. am I doing something wrong

So the first time you do this. Once I'm done farming and copied it to flash drive then go into the game and connect online then the second but only the second time I delete it from my ps4 after copying that one to another flash drive?

My online storage won't increase.
it appears the online storage won't save whatever I store in. the moment I replace the file on the console with the dummy copy it the online storage acts as if I I have deposited anything.

If u don't have 2 usb you can save your dummy save on a computer. Since the legit save is always saved on the psn plus cloud. You can do it that way too.
+Edwin Esquilin youd have to turn off the auto save on your could save because itll end up saving the dummy over your legit game.
Question, do you have to keep deleting your profile or can you just override it with the dummy?

And I already caped out on the online storage and I noticed that when i keep puttin more in it keeps puttin it on my OFFLINE cus its maxed out so when I go back to my dummy flash its lees than what ONLINE is putting to OFFLINE. On my dummy account i only have 250,000 fuel,common etc... so here is my question..... what if I just roll with the amount that online is puttin on my offline and keep faming. Would that work? In other words can I save again to the dummy acount after the whole process and just go offline and keep farming so that when i do the method it can transfer more?
if you need the resources now then you can save what you got and use em but you can always update your dummy save to hold more in its offline storage, and since your halfway there it shouldnt take much longer
For some reason, when I'm offline, I don't have the option to sell my offline materials ( not that I would ) but it's shows both my online and offline materials greyed out instead of just the online materials ( this is for processed btw ). Is it suppose to be like this?

I don't really get it, after reloading my backup it'll give me back all my offline resources, but they won't upload to my online storage a second time. What could I be doing wrong? The online storage just won't accept them more than once.

Do I need everything capped? I thought I could just repeat the method until the online storage gets full.
TheME55Y ice explained this in another comment on this vid. Feel free to take a look but essentially you gt less headaches if your offline storage is capped at 500k.
I noticed a new problem.....Right now I am farming a lot of plants on medical platform during skull attack event, but every time I use my dummy file to do a bit of infinity farming I get everything else but I am losing a bit from all plants each time I do it. this really pisses me off because now I think I may have to start over and create a new dummy file without any plants.
sorry if I am being a pain, I do like your videos and very grateful as I now have shit loads of weapons, materials and vehicles.
if your low on a resource the game will take a bit of it from your online and put in your offline but it's not much. what I did to remove the problem is farm the skulls attack until I capo on both online and offline plats. each time I do infinity farming afterward my online plants arnt touched so you don't need to restart necessarily. just cap on the plants. however for some reason the event will not truly cap you out on offline plants, it'll only go up to 3333. but it's OK because that's more than enough for the game to not feel the need to give you any more plants from your online storage. so what I did was farmed on my legit profile until I was capped online, then went to my dummy, made sure all of my resources are capped online that way it won't take anything from me, and farm the skulls event thus giving me 3333 of every plant while retaining 500k on all my other resources..
oh ok thanks.....I understand and I'll give that a go, just 1 more question....how did you manage to cap out on Haoma and Digitalis Lutea offline?? they are very hard to get.

David mission 3 and 15 have a task that requires you to pick a plant at a certain location. When you pick up the plant run to a checkpoint and hit restart mission and the plant will respawn for you to pick it again. I only capped out on the digitalis because they're much easier to grab. I also advise you start it from free roam that way you remove the helicopter opening every single run. Saving you tons of time. Theirs 2 other misions that have the purple digitalis and African peach but from my experience the African peach and the haoma one will take you a lot longer to grind for and I eventually went around the entire map in free roam and grabbed plants with a botanist staff member and d dog. I have a plant farm video on my channel of you wanna know what I'm talking about.

So, if I max out all my offline resources, back up that save file. Continue on as normal until I want online resources, then I back up my current save file which has my extra progress onto a second device. Delete the save off my console, reload my resource save onto the console, connect online. Then that will transfer the resources online. Then I can delete that save off the console and reload my progressed save, and that will then have all those resources added?

I have problem with transferring resource to online storage on PC. After~2h of farming offline, I copy save file as dumym. Then connect game to internet - all work nice all tank resource etc was transferred to online storage. I shutdown game replace save file to dummy save, start game again.. and nothing happen. So restart game again, replace save file again, lunch game.. and nothing again( sometimes 1 tank unit becoming transfer to online storage but that all( after 1 time ~30 tank unit was transfer). Did I do something wrong or Konami patch this method?
From what other pc people tell me. Theirs some strange cool down when it comes to depositing resources. I believe it was 2 hours but im not 100% sure

ciau, purtroppo non ho tempo in sti giorni di piazzarmi alla play, cmq ti spiego brevemente
in primis hai bisogno di una chiavetta USB poi
1 giocando solo in modalità off-line cerchi di mettere via più risorse\soldi possibili (più sono meglio è, x le risorse ti consiglio skullface (missione 30), dove con un trucchetto che trovi online, puoi continuare a ripetere la missione rubando sempre la stessa quantità di risorse oltre ai carri armati del valore di 100.000 l'uno)
2 dopo che hai accumulato veramente tanta roba (sempre giocando off-line), semplicemente fai una copia del salvataggio del gioco su chiavetta USB (in pratica una copia di backup), avvii il gioco, passi alla modalità online collegandoti al server, e aspetti che le risorse che hai accumulato (quelle offline) vengano aggiunte alle risorse online.
3 dopo che ti sei assicurato che siano passate online, ti disconnetti (passa a modalità offline) esci dal gioco, vai sulle impostazione e passi il salvataggio che hai nella chiavetta USB (quello con tutte le risorse accumulate) dentro la play, così rigeneri le risorse che hai accumulato giocando offline,

The resource costs for upgrading one's FOB are clearly starting to get out of hand... Just finished the LVL 2/4 Upgrade for most of the Buildings of my third FOB and with the resource requirements, so far, being fairly easygoing I was full of hope in not needing this Exploit ( can't use it anyway being on an Xbox One ) but once I took a closer look at the LVL 3/4 Upgrade I pretty much started weeping... 2x 208'000 Resources... Makes me wonder if who ever keeps coming up with these numbers is actually playing the game itself?
+Duraltia Check out some of his older videos, the skull face farming method is really useful. I' lazy so I usually just farm for around 10 rounds then I go play some side ops as it get processed and it's all you need for those resources. Base development is just the beginning, just look at the resources needed for online weapon development, they even took thousands of Haoma for weapon development.
I did some research and heard that usb 3.0 external hard drives can be used with xbone. I havnt tried it myself yet but i do know for a fact at launch there was no way to move your saves locally. but things have changed since then but in the re explanation video i do plan on letting you xbone users know IF it can actually be done on your platform due to your circumstances.
as for your resources dilema, at first launch yes they were high but they wernt much of an issue with normal play. however the costs of your next fobs along with the new weapons have nothing but skyrockettted. meaning the games economy inflated drastically. and what separates good game design and shitty game design is keeping power creep or in our terms resource creep in check and help balance the economy so that it's fair for everyone despite what you chose to grind on. however Konami has obviously pushed the pay to win/ online only aspect by allowing fobs to dish a fuck ton more resources than normal and of course on consoles you need t pay for the multilayer service to even have a chance to do any of these things. while leaving single player with the base economy as the game was first released. Konami couldove increased the amount of resources that process and acquired to balance things but did not. yes the resource drain does get alot worse but thank God I found out this method to elevate so much.
I used your method to farm tanks a few weeks ago and woke up the next morning to find that Konjima had bann me from Virtual battles and I'm not even in the PF Rank now 🤦♂️. I appreciate the idea and concept of what you did but I'm sure some jackass reported this to Konjima because after I farmed 950 takes using the delete your profile and upload the saved offline profile I got bann. I can still do short league battles but not even in the rank are running with the Virtual week long battles nor am I ranked in PF now. They have me grouped with people who have obviously also been bann for some reason are another because they aren't ranked in the PF ranking either. I wonder how long the bann last. Someone on reddit said it was a soft bann.
Interesting, I havnt heard of a person getting banned lke that in a very very long time. Thing is I'm sure this was reported the week I released this video but im serious when I say your like the first person in years to claim they got a ban of any kind.

I don't understand exactly how to do this yet but I'll get it eventually, it seems like a simple switchout and I got it one second then lost it when it came to deletinf and rinse and repeat method xD it will come back later haha. I get that one USB is for offline reserves and other is for the legit save to continue with.

it works perfectly. BUT, it takes me 2 times to get it done. I mean, attempt no1 some of my offline items move to online as it supposed to be. attempt no2 nothing happens. attempt no3 it works again. attempt no4 nothing happens .... etc. do you have any idea why? am I doing something wrong?
Honestly I just said screw it the balances transfer via offline/online if you don't have online connection you could be screwed or just stay offline forever lol either way xD

Thanks for idea in advance. I read it at 3:00 AM and got much excited to test this. As I have to go on office, at this moment, can't test so tried a lot to read in detail inch by inch so here is what I understand and wish some of your geniuses can confirm I am right. :)
1. Prepare USB stick A and B.
2. To make it safe side, before going offline, finish up all the online activities (such as soldiers on online duty or getting all daily rewards or building FOB base any matter which regards with online). I read it from Alex so will not even try building on FOB base just in case.
3. Disconnect PS4 from Internet physically or go offline from the main menu.
4. Farm everything as much as we can at this offline mode (vehicles, plants, container and everything).
5. Insert USB stick A (or already inserted).
6. Save current offline activity to this USB stick A. Important understanding is at this step, USB A and PS4 local HDD has same save file.
7. Go back to online mode.
8. As now it is online, farmed resources at step 4 will be transferred to online status. Important point is now USB A still has status of step 6 (as this A isn't affected by online and only PS4 local HDD save file is synced with online) but PS4 local HDD is synced is online so they are now different. Check online stat to see if offline resources are added.
9. In this online mode after finding offline resources are added correctly, move around or do something to save this status in PS4 local HDD.
10. USB A still has all the famred resources at step 4 and PS4 local HDD has latest online save file.
11. Terminate MGS 5 application from the menu.
12. Copy save file to USB B. This is 'legit' and latest valid online save status. Consider this as a insurance.
13. Copy USB A save file back to PS4 local HDD (overwrite the latest online save data in the PS4 HDD).
14. Now PS4 local HDD has old save file from USB A with farmed resource from step 4.
15. Rerun MGS 5 then those farmed resources from USB A save file will be applied to online activity again. This means, we added first time at step 8 then now it is 2nd time.
In other words, say like we have farmed a truck at the offline then we connect online and that truck is added to online status. However, USB A still has a truck. So we copy that USB A's save file back to PS4 local HDD (overwrite) so that while online status already added that truck, PS4 local HDD now has another truck since we USB A save file is stored back to PS4 local HDD. So repeat this again this time, online will have 2 truck while I still have 1 truck. This is why we need to gather as much as resources in offline since those will be the one which is basically added on and on as we repeat.
What do you all think? Tried to write in very detail even using so many duplicated words what I understand (but didn't try yet).
And not sure about soldiers but as S+ and S++ only could be achieved by online, I don't think it can be done but even with much resources such as precious metals will help a lot as well as building FOB base (as level goes up, it requires tons of resources like hell). At least we can bring level 7 weapons in the field without worrying resources. :) I have problem where even making level 7 gun, don't bring them since they consume too many resources which is ironic. It is Konami's play, right?

in the description there's a much shorter step by step guide as to how it works but I appreciate the amount of detail you've provided. just see save A as your personal piggy bank that you can infinity deposit your resources whenever you want. and when your full on online storage you go back to your legit save and enjoy the benifits of it. just remember to keep those 2 always separate because your legit save should have your fob building.

Actually that 'full' is something a little bit hard to understand. I mean, let's say we have repeated then precious metal gets 1M (I heard 1M is max) in online stat. At this point, we copy this online stat to USB B as backup and play as usual on online to consume them to build something, right?

To be honest, step 6 is somewhat confused still.
1) We have synced offline resource by overwriting local HDD save file to A.
2) Can see online resources are increased.
3) Since it is online, we can make progress such as making a new rifle. At this point, let's say we have used 1,000 precious metal.
4) Save this progress to B (so it has new rifle and -1,000 precious metal).
5) Overwrite A again and make it online then resources will be added again. What I believe, this is point where we still have rifle and resources are added to online.
6) NOW WE COPY B INTO LOCAL HDD? Maybe I misunderstood but think that it will go back to step 4 while all the progress till 5 is disappeared.
Or is it something like ; even we sync resources from step 5 then restore B afterwards, synced resource are still valid over latest saved status of B (which mean there is still rifle and precious metal is filled back).
Would it be correct? This step 6 is making me crazy, haha. Really hard to understand till I do it myself. Phew-

+Daniel Flores MB coins arent duped and ive tested it. It doesnt dupe em bcause teh moment your given those coins, they are automatically deposited in your bank without your consent. Thats why it says (Accepted) on the reward.I do know for a fact before 1.06 you most likely could dupe em because the system wasnt like hat. the second you accepted em is when your bank updates meaning back then you couldove duped them but youd get banned like someone i know. This however is resources and konami wouldnt give a damn about it.

To all the xbone users, I've heard that you can use an external hard drive as a secondary save. I have done some research and the info I mostly find is this question being asked when the console first released. at that time yes it was impossible but since then Microsoft has made it possible to use an external hard drive to store extra data. however you guys are still inherently screwed because it HAS to be a USB 3.0 dwvice. I know external 500GB to a 1TB can work well. but I d not know if USB 3.0 flash drives can. that is something I'm currently researching and when I get payed in a few days i will find out myself. but to those who actually have the ability to test this, I ask you to help me and your fellow xbone users so that they too can experience the joy of Infinity farming.

+GAME PRO24X since i am a xbone user, i attempted to copy the save onto my external, but i dont think i can. I believe Microsoft removed the ability to transfer saves between drives because they want to shove cloud storage down our throats, so i dont believe this is possible on the xbone.

Farming with a friend on his insurance base is better. Not only do you get to take all his non process resources If on base dev but you also get the processed for rewards.

+Indah Winarti no you wont lose the nameplate, if you did the game would know your missing it and youd be able to buy it again for 0 points. At least thats my assumption of what would happen. If you really want to be safe make sure you have your legit save (the one you play on) saved on another flashdrive or better, on the cloud storage. While the dummies only remain on the flash drive.

Okay, it works, but you gotta have a ton of offline materials. I made the mistake having only 30k fuel and after the deposit I could only see couple thousand more in my online storage

Ok, my investigation shows that if you're connected to PSN or have your ethernet/wireless connected, while youre doing your offline grinding, this might not work..
the first step is to make sure your not connected online. idk what else to tell you

Yeah dude it's very weird. I have a few things developing in my progressing save aka Cloud save that shows up in the Dummy ( grinding save)
yet it won't recognize that I deposited resources it Mau have been patched in 1.07 or simply PS3 is different all together.

what if I play offline but accidentally connect after say a month will they take everything i worked so hard for and transfer it to online
sometimes its instant and sometimes its not, but ive noticed that connecting back online after a long time itll be instant so yea you need to be careful. always have a back up save just in case you mess up because trust me its a pain to get back what you lost and get the rest on top of that.

when I tried it I had 15 tanks in my dummy file and every time I copy and load it, not all 15 tanks gets added....I get like 10 and every time I do it, it seems to decline.....now I only get 2 added each time and sometimes none.
any ideas what is wrong??
it'll slowly give you less and less each time, it would be the am for reources if your not capped. the simple solution would be to add more tanks in the dummy so that you can get a bit more out of the process and reach that decline at a slower rate. I have 50 in my inventory and it deposits nearly all each time and now I have about 500 tanks online
does the resource decline??....I haven't noticed because I have been keeping an eye on my tank numbers. I do load my dummy file now and then to play it offline to add to my stock but it does become tiresome.

1. no, not at all. I've done a lot of research and technically you'd be using the system the way it is originally intended so theirs no reason for a ban. 2. yes it does, I've done it myself just yesturday. if you have 1 USB you can move your ps3 save to a pc and in a sense have many copies of your save file.

Anyone confirm if this works on xbox one? I've maxed out 3/4 FOB's and seriously could not be bothered with another 3 months of just playing the events for fuel and common metal resources. Just out of interest Game Pro, how much fuel and common metal (roughly) did you have harvested for the dummy file?

Gameprox is their a way I can change my dummy without having to farm all over again.For example my dummy has 10 k precious metal and I want to add anouther 10 k to my dummy file.
then move your dummy to the Console, play on the dummy like ad extra materials. save and overwrite the previous dummy stored in the flash drive. just remember don't go online.
I'm capped on resources.. I've just spend some on upgrading my fob.. do I need to make a save on my 2nd USB while I'm upgrading my fob?? when I load my dummy file my fobs aren't upgrading
+gums79 when you upgrade your fob, that is on your legit save so yes you will need to back up that save on a flash drive. then when you need resources re upload the dummy.

well for those plants you can get your offline boosted by playing the fob event, its hard but itll give you th emax amount out of any other event. youll only be able to keep 3333 offline but litterally the only way to farm plants is by picking them by hand and such so any way to shorten that is always great.
I have a question i hope someone can answer this. When you speak of offline/online, do you mean within the game by pressing pause/touchpad or within the console itself? Thats about the only thing i dnt understand.
its kind of both, if you stay connected while booting up MGSV you wont hve the option to go offline until its too late and it deposited your resources. best thing to do is to just turn off internet connection on the ps4s internet settings and your good.

So you only need one usb if you do not make any progress
sort of, you need a place to store your legit save (the one you progress with) and another place to store your infinity farm save in case you need resorts again you can just upload it back into your console.

@GamePro24X Tried doing this for Xbox1, with usbs. I only have the option to delete my data not copy it. The only other option I have is, using external HDDs, but then I have to transfer the entire game and data to one HDD, then upload to another. I'm afraid to try it tho.

As of now, I have to move the entire game, data, save file, yep, all of that shit, onto another device, saved data/game is not allowed, which is so annoying.I tried your method on my cousins setup for PS4 works as you stated. I am gonna try to buy two 64 gig usbs this weekend and try it out, I connected a 4 gig USB that is 3.0 and the xbox1 recognized it. One thing I noticed is that you can't duplicate anything if you have an external HDD connected, it doesn't give you the option to copy, it only gives the option to move all or delete all.
BeatsByCustom DotCom only move data? Hmm I think you can duplicate it by moving your local save to another hard drive, then on the cloud save move it back in your local drive. That's what I think would work if you want to achieve 2 different copies. Also how long did it take to move the game and file over? It's USB 3.0 so the data speeds should be fast during transfer.

While it's obvious that offline resources are stored client-side and that online resources and online weapons are stored server-side, how does the game store FOB platforms which are under construction? I know that if you begin construction on an FOB platform and reload a save prior to the construction of the platform, you lose the resources spent on the platform, but the game believes you never bought the platform. Therefore, there is no way around losing offline materials for good when building FOB platforms.
So, with a minimum of 111,112 offline fuel/precious/etc. (though you'll want more than this to reduce the amount of reloads), you can increase your online materials from 0 to the cap of 1,000,000 materials. If flash drive A has 70 platforms but 500,000 unprocessed fuel, while flash drive B has the 71st platform under construction, could you use flash drive A to restore the online fuel without losing the FOB under construction? If the 71st platform has been completed on flash drive B, could you use flash drive A to restore your online fuel and not risk losing the platform?
My hunch is that reloading the backup is safe in the second scenario I described, but not the first.
Oh, and the constantly appearing TOS agreement happens when you reload a file from the USB which was last offline. When I keep reloading a save which was last online, I will never get the message. It's nothing to worry about.
the save that has fobs under construction is your legit save that you will go back to and play nor ally but it needs to be backed up. you use the infinity save to stock back up on resources in a few uploads

PandaAbomination no. Even if your on another save the construction does still continue. It's weird but trust me just go back to your leg save and your fobs will be intact.

I fucked up big time. by mistake I uploaded my dummy save to my main game save to the online storage and now I'm stuck on my dummy file.. my esp and pf rank are same as before and I lost all of my 4th fob..any help for me?
+gums79 aww shit man that sucks, I do stress on the level of care when doing this because of that mistake. all i can really say is do the fob event and get some quick n easy staff to fill back up. Maybe have 2 back ups of your legit save just in case. However i do believe i am onto a method that will get you a bunch of high rank staff really quick n easy but i need testers. if your on PS4 i can test it with you and if it works youll be bumped up in staff in no time. No the problem is that I did one copy where I grinded hardcore.
My offline dummy account where I grinded is fine.
the moment I I go online it deposits which is fine.
then I go back online. Then replace it with the progressives save I have in the in the the cloud save.
When I go to the Cloud save it is as if nothing was deposited in the online.

I imagine you know by now but if not the cap for plants is 36k. I went apeshit on the current event medical platform currently 1st place on 360. That combined with dispatch missions and using a botanist for gameplay has me maxed on everything but haoma.
I'm surprised there isn't some sort of metadata tag with a date stamp in the save data.
That could be modified as well...it's a local file. Technically, you could even modify that file to put the numbers you want to upload in your online storage without even bother to farm. The only way to counter that is to never mix online and offline in the first place... or do just like Blizzard did, each item is associated with a generated ID server-side and would be uploaded only if recognized. But it'd then means that it'd be an online-only game. So no, they have no ways to block that as long as they mix the two, at best they can "detect" unusual uploads and proceed to bans, but I doubt they have the budget for that, it requires a full-time team dedicated to that and monitoring programs developed accordingly.

modifying a game save would be a bannable offense however with this method you simply move your save file back and fourth so in some regard its an even bigger middle finger because that cant be considers cheating since thats how the system works and it would be very hard to prove if its dont intentionally because anyone can claim their files was corrupted and needed a fresh one. Indeed a huge a middle finger to the company that puts up ludacris grindwall (not tolerable grindwall) to extend its game play and also offers you to pay extra cash to enjoy more of it.
Yeah modifying save files will get you banned on most games that have online play. It's in the TOS. I'm not sure how they check it BUT I do know I got banned from online play by CAPCOM.
Bro I prove It. I did work the first time. but no others times... I don't know why... I do start to develop something and it dit is now on. and when I try againg the Infinity Farm ("IF" from now on), and all my resources where there and my PMG too; but the Weapons still are developing, so it work but in online weapons and it only grants me 10k resources every time no more than that, and precious m only 2k. the unprocess biological reduces 10k every time. all that happen in about 6 intents that I did in XBOX 360. the tanks only go up 1 and the plants up like 200 or so...
