If people free their own pumpkins there wouldn't be nearly as many wasted at the end of the Halloween season. Ever driven past farms after Halloween season? I have, and what I see are hundreds and hundreds of pumpkins sitting out there to rot, and signs up begging people to buy the leftover pumpkins
Someone has warned not to eat giant pumpkins because these punpkins are grown with artificial chemicals that can be lethal when eaten, but at the same time i can agree, hundreds or thowsands of decent average reasonable sized pumpkins are up for waste because of this.

Yeah these types of pumpkins aren't made for eating, the amount of GMOs that make it gigantic also make it taste terrible and artificial 1000 pound pumpkins are made for carving so nothing was "wasted" And it's also really cool watching a full grown human fit inside a squash fruit that wouldn't grow this big on it's own
