I did use ve analyzer live when I was doing my base tuning to get the map roughly where it needed to be. there is still a lot of fine tuning that I won't up doing with mega log and also some tuning with the good old butt dyno because there's always some cells in the tuning map that feel better when they're tuned manually regardless of what the computer is saying
Cool job man! That's a turbo from a diesel unit right? I would have thought the compression ratios in the housing wouldn't have been suitable but appear to be wrong 😍
Works like a champ. Check out the newest videos, same turbo but I tweaked the actuator. Boost response is amazing. Per the data log, goes from vacuum to 14psi in 0.8 seconds
@@southwest82 Nice, I will check it out for sure! I always ponder about turbo options for my Eaton Mini but not comfortable with lag so I'm scoping my options out. My first thought was a unit from a Cayenne Turbo but those are all electronically regulated and would imagine it will be too much work to convert it back to mechanical or replicate the correct signals so this may well be a suitable candidate, cheers

tuning was a bear, this turbo was very tricky because the variable nature of the boost curve
