Having worked in banking both locally and internationally for 35+ years. The most frustrating aspect of the business is how lazy its back office technology functions. Many banks are using 50+ year old systems cobbled onto modern platforms. Much of banking technology is not fit for purpose.
Bank accounts should be universal like mobile numbers and superannuation accounts with the ability to partition your account into credit and savings. Isolating the ability of scammers to operate by banking fraud teams and customers better manage their banking interactions.
There’s too much accumulated clutter in banking.
You dont Transfer $1.4 million because your distracted.
Why bother using banks if they can't offer security to your hard earned savings? If there's a TSB in Australia, customers will be happy to change banks..
I stopped using internet banking because I don't trust it. I go into my local branch for all of my transaction now.
