- I recently returned from my work trip in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I helped to plan and execute the Joint Aquatic Sciences Meeting. While there, I managed to squeeze in a few hours of fishing over about three days. This is the first of those roughly 1-hour evening fishing trips.
I was completely unfamiliar with the river and was using a very cheap extendable travel rod, but I still managed to catch some solid fish. See below for links to the gear I was using and enjoy!

@@KambotroutFishing that wall isn't what it used to be. Right next to the wall was deep holes and you would can big fish there all summer long everything from blue gills to pike. But in 2001 the city had the rail moved to the edge and all the broken parts of the wall fixed. The company that did it left all of the broken

@@leonhudson7469 that’s a damn shame bro. Makes me think of rivers and ponds I fished as a kid that have since been filled and silted in. I’m glad I got a shot at em when I was young, but sucks that those places aren’t what they once were.
