Bill with the tractor now previously having the Sherman high low that linkage was made that way so the linkages on that side wouldn't interfere with each other
When you go to put the new ring gear on, you can put the new gear in the oven and have it heating up while you’re getting the old one off, then you’re killing two birds with one stone. Go get new one out of oven after getting the old off and plop it on. Will give you a more even heating of the gear too then you could do with the torch.
Hey bill that is good stuff it’s about 6 bucks here in the states for a small tube I actually got it by mistake one time thought I was getting blue loctite but ended up being a tube of that but ended up keeping it bc I remembered you using it on the channel lol
Don't know where you get that cast iron will break after heating it up vehicle rear-ended engine blocks transmissions and lotsa of other things is makes out of cast iron and you don't see them falling apart do you I have welded cast iron many times and it didn't fall apart.
Each bolt size has its own specific torque according to its size and there is a chart if you just google it that shows what Torque according to nut and bolt size and thread pitch and if imperial or metric
That looked like a pain to fix the sloppy pin :-( Pity there isn't a bit of nylon rod that could be pressed in, then use a pillar drill to open it out slowly, just under the pin diameter :-( Sods law dictates that when you have struggled, an ideal bit of material will appear from nowhere lol.

Good job! Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
My Grandpa even into his 80's could do very well on brazing. At work a guy would use a small wire and add material to a piece of stock.
