    FOLLOWING HOME INVASION IN MARKHAM
    Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged two men and recovered a stolen vehicle following a home invasion in the City of Markham.
    On Saturday, April 12, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., police were called to a home in the area of Steeles Avenue East and Henderson Avenue for a home invasion. When they arrived at the residence, the victim reported two armed men broke into her house and threatened to kill her while demanding money. The suspects fled in a white sports utility vehicle (SUV). The victim was not injured.
    Through investigation, it was learned the SUV was stolen earlier that day from the City of Orillia.
    Investigators were able to locate the stolen vehicle, with the assistance of our Air Support Unit and the Toronto Police Service. The suspects were located on foot in a mall in Toronto and taken into custody.

    • Wylie GABRIEL, 18, of no fixed address
    • Andrew PARSONS, 24, of Toronto
    Charges:
    • Robbery with Firearm
    • Disguise with Intent
    • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
    • Mischief Over $5,000
