- My Dad SOLD my John Deere Combine!!!!!!!!!! 2021 Montana
Yes, it's true..... my Dad sold my 9610 John Deere Combine that I grew up with! Today is the day I say goodbye to my old hardworking and fabulous combine. I also tell the story of my first harvest when I was 15 years old how the entire wheel fell off on the last day of harvest. There is a picture of it too! After the wheel was repaired and I finished the little bit of harvest I drove it home and the big right front tire went flat and damaged the rim. Dad had to have someone come and repair it because you can't get rims for this 9610 John Deere combine anymore!!! Talk about crazy times at harvest. I also take you on a tour of my old combine as I say goodbye to it. It is going to another great home where I have been invited to visit it or run it for them!! LOL! My Dad takes some great drone video footage as it is leaving the farm! Of course, I wave goodbye. Dad and I talk about how great the combine was and he shares the story of his first combine and thoughts about why he likes to have three running during harvest. My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17-year-old 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
I'm impressed by how clean it is. Somebody put a lot of work into cleaning it.

You are living my childhood dream, I'm not a farmer like you Kate but I grew up watching similar combines like yours as a kid and ever since I was drawn to them like a magnet to metal, it would always put a smile on my face to see one specially the JD STS they have the most beautiful design like no other one, to me the combines are the best equipment there is on a farm. ❤

Ohhh-nooo!! I'm so sad for you!! The 9610 is going to a new home. I know your pain, my folks sold my bike when I was a child-cried for a week until my new one arrived- ha ha!! Never forgot that and I'm 73 now 🤣😂 Tell Dad you must have a new combine immediately! Where ever the 9610 is going, they'll be happy, it looks brand new. Wishing you a new machine very soon!

You’ve been driving a combine on your dads farm since you were 15? Wow, what a great all American family! It’s admirable that you’re out working on the farm still at 17. Your family should be very proud. Most kids these days just sit around playing video games, sitting on Facebook, chatting online, of just hanging out. You’re an impressive young lady. WOW, Kate you could easily be doing the national evening news or 60 minutes. I loved your dads reaction and how the two of you interact, it's hilarious. Don't worry dear, I have a hunch that the old sly fox dad of yours has already got his eye on your next ride. The old stuff is still the best! We have 2 CTS's and they still outperform the big new combines because they don't have all the electronic issues.

Hauled one many times between farms. A few times we drove them in convoy between farms. One way was 75 miles, didn't have time to haul all of them, so hit the "Jack" and don't return till it's done. So sure you will fall in love with the next one. Thanks for the belly laugh, great story!

Is damp it blocks the auger and we loose time . The smaller header is good to go ahead and open up a new Field.

About 54 years ago was my first harvest. I run a 1959 model 45 john deere no cab. Those old combines you showed in a past video are real close.

Dang, I grew up on a 1961 john deere 105 combine with a gas motor lol. We had it up til 2008 when we sold our farm :(. I was 18 at the time. Glad to see younger people being enthusiastic about farm equipment and farming in general. I definitely miss being out in the fields.
