    I have 2004 9-5 2.0 (stage1) manual wagon and even it pulls pretty hard with 3rd gear. Hp is about 200. Also tuned to use 85E (biopower tune). I have not used 85E yet. Aero is totally different animal 😎😎

      Super nice! My first Saab experience was with friend's 9-5 wagon also 2.0 and I knew I have to buy one. I then bought a 9-3 from 2000 with the 2.0 and even stock was very responsive, sold it to a friend and then bought this one which I hope to keep for a long time!

      These cars are awesome, i have had one of mine for 7 years and the other one for 3 years. I recommend a performance intercooler even for stage 1. The car dosent get hot and tired as fast and pulls harder further up in the rpm. You can get a cheaper one dosent have to be do88, as long as its way thicker than stock and being made all in metal, stock is partly plastic and way to thin. Also get the bigger air inlet pipe thats meant for the 9-3 diesel (i think), makes it a bit more responsive, cheap mod. And stick to standard aifilter not these nonsens "performance" filters since they do nothing but perhaps sucking in more dirt into the engine.

    These things can scoot with bare bone mods.
    A basic exhaust and *good* tune will put you right around ~300hp /340 lb⋅ft and do 100-200 km/h in the 9-10 second range.

      Stage 1 but tbh I think it pulls much better with 99 octane fuel, this run was with 95 octane and I thought it was kind of slow for 280hp.

    • @achmed51
      @achmed51 Před 5 měsíci +1

      yeah, this looks more like stock. I have two of these and my estate version was stock from the beginning, now stage 1. on my estate the "turbo" needle goes far into the red zone, and while stock it was just entering the red zone much like yours. mine does 80-120 on third year in 3.8 sec or a little under. It also has an aftermarket performance intercooler. it pulls better on 98 octane than 95, its a noticeble difference. My other 9-5 aero is a stage 3 ethanol sedan and does 80-120 on third gear in 3.4 sec. I am swedsh so driving saabs is natural for me ;) my estate was tuned by nordic performance, a swedish company that specialize in saab. @@carstart69

    • @achmed51
      @achmed51 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@carstart69 possibly. Also different tunes behave different. I think 280 is hard to get with just a tune of the ecu.
      Mine is Nordic performance and is supposed to give 270 hp, but without an aftermarket intercooler it wont give that power for long. Also with the stock downpipe it gets hot so after a while it reduces power if you push it. The intercooler helps though
