- 99 thru late 06 GMC and Chevrolet Silverado sierra you can suburban Tahoe etc. anything with a 4L 60 E transmission change your views and check your fuses save your money don’t do what I did if you’re having shifting problems watch this video and change your fuses
You're my damn hero! I swapped out all of my solenoids including the solenoid harness and nothing . Replaced the IGN 0 fuse . It picked up 1st gear and shifted through every gear perfectly. Thank you so much.
I just changed my transmission yesterday & it still didn’t fix the problem. Hopefully that fuse helps 😂
@@jesusmartinez9697same here bro, any luck??😂
NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES!!! And you just became mine!!!!
YESSIR
Mine too
Dude, my trucks been stuck in 2nd gear since 2018! I went outside checked that fuse (wasn’t there) put one in and it shifts perfect. Thank you!!
Wow
What fuse
@@slickmick1866 the one he’s talking about.
Dang how is everyone’s truck perfect mine had a damn 20A I replaced it with a 10A and nothing
@@alexandermaravilla4528 what’s yours doing??
Thanks man, I’m dealing with a similar issue on a 4L80E..for future reference, the shift solenoids can be tested in the transmission by applying 12vdc directly to the leads and see if they actuate. Should hear a “click”. If that doesn’t happen, it’s bad. I’m hoping to get to the bottom of it soon. I’ll check my fuses, thanks again.
Getyall a 12v tester like Oreilly Auto sells and some liquid electrical tape.
Theres a 12v test light attachment that can pierce the wire insulation leaving a maybe .020" dia hole. Liquid electrical tape is so much easier than wrappin the damn dirty wires.
Alternatively, there are some alligator clips that have a tiny pad of pokey bits in the jaw that contacts the inner conductor of the wire but leaves such small insulation damage that liquid electrical tape can easily seal back up.
What’d you find out?
Bro you saved my life I don't want over 1,000 replace my transmission three times and all it was was that fuse you were talking about you saved my life I didn't want to give up my truck thank you very much
So you just saved my ass. Im an idiot and pulled that fuse when installing plow wiring and never replaced the fuse. Started looking at trans replacements, valve bodies, solenoids and everything. Put a 10 amp back in and shes doing 80mph with ease. Thank you
What fuse
@@slickmick1866 he pointed it out and said ignition 0 at 2:40 time
Can't wait until morning to check that fuse!
Good job my brother from another mother!❤
Bro u just saved me 3000 dollars now all I got to do is figure out why my ign-0 keeps blowing thank u for being here to show us the way deeply appreciated
Last 1 I studied blowing the ign fuse as u turned the key on turned out to b a fkd antilock controle module.
@@danieln3792 thanks I will definitely look into that much appreciated bro
Brother I want to thank you. I’ve been dealing with this issue for months. You’ve save me time and money. Thank you..
You described exactly what was going on with my truck and I just put a new fuse and now it shifts again thank you sooo much your a life saver I’m glad you posted this video it’s the only video that described exactly what happened to my trucl
Chris I’m glad it helped you I looked around on the Internet and couldn’t find anything to help me so I figured what the hell I’ll make a video myself I went through it for a couple months before I could figure it out I cannot believe it was a fuse after everything else I changed. Glad it worked man
Good thing is you got a bunch of new sensors you won’t have to worry about for a while lol thanks for the video man gonna try to replace it in the morning.. fingers crossed
what fuse was ir
@@dustinpowell745 I have a question about my 2002 Tahoe please help me🙏🙏🙏
Which fuse did the 10am run to under the hood ???
I wants to say thank you. I was having delayed shifts from 1-2, 2-3 . And I went to check this fuse and when I installed an aftermarket radio I took 12 volt signal from that fuse. I started noticing the shifting delay and I just watched your video and realized what I did. Just took that wire out of the fuse and baaaam! Transmission is working properly, smooth shifts again.
Dudeeee for real
BIG MAN!!!! THANK YOU! I had already put a junk yard tranny in my 99 silverado and the same shit was happening. $1,800 later, I saw your video. Good work, my man! If you are near East Texas I'll come out and buy you dinner or some beers!
How did you figure out which fuse to change on yours?
"$115 or $105 whatever, I barely graduated." Haha that was fucking funny. So relatable 🤣
I have the same problem but I’m dealing with an Ls swap! Changed whole wiring harness with all new parts! The only thing that has changed is the 2000 stall to a 3200 stall!!! Great video
WOW BRO! GOD BLESS YOU
I had my truck new stereo connected to that exact fuse 😅 I pulled the fuse adapter out and problem solved, thank U so much for making this video.
thank you man someone told me I needed a new trans man I put that 10 A IGN "0" fuse turned the key almost hit my car in front on me it takes off like a bat out of hell😷 Thank you Bro
I changed the transmission speed sensor $130 . Then the ignition switch wiring harness $50. Didn’t fix my problem, seen this and rechecked my fuses . It was a $5 fix . Thank you 🙏
Somebody give this man a cookie. Saved my whole afternoon 🤣
Sitting in my truck about to drop the pan for the 2nd time. Ran across this video so I check the fuse box and there is NO FUSE IN IGN 0. Thanks for the video.
Life saver. Worked like a charm for a friend. Fuse looked good but went ahead and changed it and bam back to shifting
Even when the fuse looked good.. then was changed it started working?
@@itchinforfishin8038 yes. Not saying it was good but visually couldn’t see anything wrong with it
Bro today was my second time dropping pan pissed off holy crap you the man she was blown... Again good looking out!
Thinking soooo much You spent my life. I was on a trip and cut the fuse. I found ignition 0 burned and changed it. It really worked. Thank you, man. Thank you very much. Chevy Suburban 2005
Yooo somebody give this Man a beer he just fixed my truck 👌
Hey what was wrong with your truck?
Dude this should be pinned at the top of this page instead of all the other crap they have posted, I looked and mine wasn’t even there I put one in and immediately it fixed it
Thank you!! That fixed my truck! 2002 gmc sierra 2500hd 6.0L my truck had the same symptoms and it turned out to be that fuse after 2 months of dealing with that
Matthew Morreale I’m so glad it helped. I figured I would make a video never made one before but I have dealt with the problem for a few months myself probably three months or so finally I started looking around and found a video where a guy was talking about a certain wire and I traced it down to the fuse little did I know that he was controlled the transmission I went through all kinds of sensors and solenoid in the transmission money and time transmission fluid filters etc. come to be a damn fuse that I had 10 of them laying in the door panel of my truck LOL I’m glad it helped you I might make a few more videos like this if It is helping others
Pretty much the same problem in the 4l80e there is a 10 amp fuse for the transmission. It's in the bottom left corner of the fuse panel on a 1992 Sierra.
On my way! To check rn I previously changed the transmission and it ain’t shifting right but this video just saved my a** thx!!
What was it?
Yes sir!! Fixed my problem on my 04 chevy Silverado. I was ready to pull transmission sensors and all. It was my fault tho. I wired into the red 10 ignition fuse for my radio and that was too much for it I guess. Radio shut off engine light came on and it was throwing 6 codes concerning solenoids A, B and torque converter sensors. I wasn’t for sure it was that until I came across your video. Thanks!
I got the same year and model bro! Did you just get a new fuse ?
Saved my life brother!! You deserve a trophy!! Thanks bud
gonna check my fuse in the morning my 04 yukon denali xl 6.0 no switching past 2nd gear had it scanned no transmission codes Glad I ran into your video hope this works for me also
Went and traced the pink wire and roughly 6 inches were fried! You're a fucken hero 👏 🙌
I have exact same shift problems and I thought maybe .. but your the only one who said exactly which Fuze.. so tomorrow I'm thinking I will be able to fix .. amd I'm in a bind already so..I think you made life much easier.. I hope
Ima need to try this tomorrow cause I have the same problem but what’s weird for me is all I did was change my fluid and then boom now I’m having this same issue I have to shift everyday like a 3 on the tree or some crap so I’m going to try this thank you
This fixed my problem!!!!! You have to be kidding me!
Really. My 2009 Silverado just started doing this. But with no check engine on. None. Did your check engine light was on or any other light?
@@FernandoRodriguez-ds5ri my engine light was on and it was the fuse that was bad but it could be different for other vehicles
My transmission just started doing this today, thank you for this video!
Going to check mine now after replacing transmission
Thanks, that really helped me today... saved me from getting rid of my truck..... Have a good one...
Robin Oochoo Glad I could help man
Dude I haven't even drove my truck yet to see if that was the problem bc mine is exactly the same I'm willing to bet my last dollar that its the issue bc my fuse is blown lol thanks man!!!!!

This video fixed my truck. Fixed it for the cost of a 10 amp fuse
Jasper transmission from transmission shop ATRS in Kezeltown,Va $4,000 all for a bad fuse. Yes the fuse was bad.Evertime I had taken the truck back they charged me for something else too !
Ouch!
Thank you , nice sharing, the possibilities are so numerous these days, thinking outside the box is mandatory. nice comfortable easy sharing.
You were absolutely right thank you so much I have a 05 yukon 6.0 with the same problem I changed the fuse and boom shifts perfect but I never had any codes so I knew it was something simple

Why don't you check before commenting lmao js
you explained my problem exactly. buy my fuse isn’t blown. 😞
Change it anyway because my fuse appeared to be not blown and I changed it anyway and now it works fine. Fuses can be deceiving
Thank You but I’m too late….just spent $1500 for them to tell me 3rd and 4th gear was gone..I’ll try to locate fuse and pink wire ASAP! Thank You again🤛🏽
Was it gone??
I’m about to try it out now . I have the exact same problem. So I’m going to pull the Pan again now 3rd time . Thanks.
I literally was just getting ready to pull my trans today great video
I bet it would be helpful to my situation! I haven't even touched mine and I feel like it is what you saying brother, confidence builder
Having the same problem have changed everything you mentioned except the fuse but i will be doing that real soon. Thanks!!
Update?
Check the wire near the grommet on steering column and shifter
My 2007 GMC Envoy was doing the exact same thing and the fuse was not blown and it checked ok with a meter. I found the fuse prongs were darkened from heat so I changed it and now my transmission works perfect. The IGN 0 fuse is under the back seat driver side for Envoys. Fuses can be very deceiving
I have a 02 Chevy Avalanche that just started doing that. Have to manually shift any time I stopped because would hang in low gear. When it finally shifted was bogged down. I thought it might be a problem with the towing / traction control. I flushed the transmission fluid and added a leak sealant/ hard shift additive. A little easier shifting. I appreciate the tip on what helped you. I'm going to check that fuse. Thanks
Try checking your fuses.
@@dustinpowell745 I did that and found a blown fuse. But keeps blowing fuses.

Thank you so much brother helped me diagnose my problems on a 95 c1500!
Did it fix the problem on yours? I have a 93 that won’t go past 2nd
I'm getting code P0758: Shift Solenoid B, electrical. When the truck first starts, it drives fine for several miles, and then it enters limp mode on the highway. At that point I only have 2nd and 3rd gear, so it revs high with no 4th gear. It has a slow start since I have no gear 1. The mechanic couldn't figure out what is wrong with it, and he charged me for checking other things such as the ignition, new TCM, new solenoids, and rebuilding the engine which was over a year ago (similar symptoms back then too). I finally put in a new transmission harness myself after losing my patients with the mechanic who took forever working on it. I sure hope changing the Ign0 10amp fuse solves my problem! Will report back after my test drive...
What ever happened bro going threw the same thing ??
Same did you guys figure it out??
Did it every work for you?
Going to check this as soon as i get home, hopefully that's the issue.
I been having this problem for months I hope this helps me I’m on my way to buy fues now
Red Perez I hope it does as well let me know if that fixes your problem I did the same thing Rode around for probably two months changed a bunch of sensors in the transmission and everything come to find out it was a damn fuse

Tow/haul problem is at the base of the shifter. Wires get caught in linkage. Bypass shifter button with dash mount momentary push button.
When u put it in reverse it would it peel out. But when you put it in drive. Was it like a snail taking off?
Yeah
changed my transmission (97 s-10) and still having this problem. time to check the fuses b4 i scrap it

Did it work?i have a 2013 suburban same problemm....
Leevan Mohammed nope I check all fuses ground cables too replace Transmission fluid, Solenoid and filter. Problem didn’t go alway give up I pay $1200.00 to a shop 1 year guarantee. I stay with the same transmission because I have some mod. Found this place that they remove the transmission and install a different one for less money. If you don’t find any bad fuses try your solenoids filter and fluid. Is cheap if you order them online. Good luck 👍
@@leevanmohammed9032 @Brian Harbison did you ever figure it out? My 02 Avalanche 5.3 4WD it's only driving on 1st and 3rd gears. I'm over 3000 rpms to get it up to 70 mph on hwy. Changed shift solenoids, trans internal wiring harness, TCM, checked all fuses and nothing seems to solve the problem.
I have a 2003 Silverado. Just put a used $700 transmission in it and it acts just like the old one did. Put it in drive and it makes it to 20mph tops. Has reverse. If you drop it into 1st it goes, shift up to 2nd & 3rd it’s gutless and does nothing.
Didn't work for me but good info nice vid. Keep it up!
Try changing the BTSI fuse in fuse box under the hood. It's a 10 AMP I heard that has to do with tranny shifting. Just a thought 🤔
Ile give your advice a try I have 05 gmc yukon 123 and reverse are strong 💪 it recently started to not go into 4th no cel light or Trans codes it has a rebuild Trans in it from amco with under 100000 miles on it I replaced the engine a put a stage 2 cam in it and it tuned for 276hp under factory hp so it doesn't damage the transmission takes off like a space ship when everything was working good transmission fuilds red and full checked while it was running
This video just saved me😂
How so please explain Brody
Have a 4l60e C5 Corvette, but there is no IGN 0 fuse? There is a Mini relay titled IGN, but it is not a mini fuse nor does it have 0. Thoughts?

Hello, I need help diagnosing or fixing this issue with my truck. It stalls above second gear and the speedometer flickers a lot, could be going between 30-80 km/h. Its a 2006 Chevy Avalanche. The check engine light is on with error code P0449. I've taken it to a dozen mechanics and none of them have been able to find/solve this issue. I had the transmission replaced in 2018 and didnt experience this issue before.
Basically when the truck tries to shift into 3rd gear or above there is an 80% chance it will stall, the engine RPM will skyrocket but the vehicle will slow/stop until returning to second or first gear.
Could this be a fuse issue? I would really appreciate any help i can get, thanks!

I’m having a shifting problem in my 2007 Silverado it shifts in reverse 1st 3rd 4th no problem but it’s the 2nd that’s messing up. Going 60 and up my rpms run high. I replaced the Tcm and 2nd shifts sometimes now. I guess my best bet is to check the fuses?
