“What happens at Grandmas stays at Grandmas for all the generations to come”. How stinking cute is she. 😬♥️🤣
I have to say - I cannot get over how sweet and adorable she is! she's just the cutest thing ever!
What a magnetic personality she has! Totally a sweetheart ❤️

That was 10/10 adorable..everyone would love to be that age at grandmom's house again
When I used a chest freezer I kept a white board with what I put in it, how much of each item, and the date. This helped me keep from losing things in the freezer. Erase each item as you use them.
That’s exactly what I do. I also put the items in baskets so that I can lift out baskets to see what is underneath, rather than having to move lots of individual items.
What a great idea! Thank you
I do this also and I keep one on my fridge for leftovers cause they can get lost in there and then up being thrown out.
I'll have to do this when I get my chest freezer! Thanks!!!
That is brilliant!
Your oldest daughter always cracks me up...she talks like she is so much older. She is a ray of sunshine!!!
I love that..."what happens at Grandmas, stays at Grandmas"...
I agree with Audrey. What happens at grandma and grandpa's house, stays at grandma and grandpa's house. I laughed when Burt did the mask kisses.
True love 😍😍😂😂
😹😹😹that was so funny 😂
Audrey... so stinkin cute with the ice cream and grandma’s rules! 🥰
Grandma's rules trumps mommy's and daddy's rules. At least that's how it was when I was growing up. LOL
@@davevanhorn9741 that’s how it is with my grandkids! 😂
The oldest little girl is super gifted with smiles that light up a room!!! All the kids are simply precious!
Just FYI if you both have your Costco cards on you the numbers are different so Bert can get a toilet paper and a paper towel on his account separately if you need to get more than one each next time ! Trucks r anywhere from 5-20 days behind deliveries right now and getting slower just to let you know ! Sorry guys we are doing r best to get what we can as fast as possible in the months to come ! Stay safe -glad ur home and covid free!
By the way it snowed here in Scottsdale Arizona and surrounding areas of town ! The mountains r blanketed in white ! So beautiful!
They probably know that but want to leave some for their neighbors. My son and his roommates live in a small town in UP MI. One house. They could triple up on stuff but they won't unless someone asks them to, like a large family with kids that need milk or something. Everyone is cool like that. Unlike most places people just grab more than they need whether they need it or not.
Yeah sorry bit people shouldnt do that cause other people need toliet paper also. That's just rude
@@tngirl341 they have separate accounts it’s perfectly ok to do that within the limits of one per membership card .
I got the 30 pack of KS Bath tissue at $16,99 this last weekend in Azusa, CA. I just remembered I should’ve stocked up on the bacon, the cost will be going up soon. Overall, the pricing is good at Costco compared to the local grocery stores, there you really see the impact of inflation, prices skyrocketed and packaging is getting smaller.
Hate chest freezers, before downsizing we had the largest upright we could find. Loved it, each shelf had it's own label. One for beef, one for pork, one for chicken and fish, drawer for vegetables and small drawer for fruit.
Seeing that minus zero and the fireplace on gives me shivers. It's 10:17 pm and still 76 degrees. We have the air-conditioning on.
I have a chest freezer but I will be getting an upright next time.
That’s smart!! My chest freezer seems to be like an abyss 😂
I wish I was living where it was nice and warm right now as we have almost a foot of snow here in Nebraska,I really need to move to a warmer climate
@@TraciHilbers Me too, I’m in omaha,ne
@@sandyseibelhager7131 my aunt and uncle live in Omaha, you guys got way more snow tho I think then my town of Norfolk, this is 2nd day of no school for my 2 teens as they go to school in Stanton, stay warm and stay safe if you have to drive
Omg! Costco is so empty! We have ppl lining up like Disneyland before they open.
That would happen before though
we make a weekly menu and shop accordingly. My youngest arranges the chest freezer in menu order so I don't have to dig.
I appreciate your system, but I am just so spontaneous, that I have seldom planned a meal in advance. It’s usually what I want the day of! That’s city living for you!
...and I have no children or family to cook for, so there’s that, too!
In NY we are still experiencing shortages. Random items, makes bulk shopping a pain. I find myself shopping at two or three stores to get everything I need. If you are brand loyal it can be an inconvenience as well. I find some brands just not available but plenty of generics. Just depends on the week and grocery store.
I don’t like chest freezers. We had one once and I swear we lost a horse and Buggy down there !
🤣
🤪😅😎
Great healthy haul...I guessed 460.00. Burt is such a character...trying to sneak in a lil "mask kiss". I liked what Audrey said about grandma's house 🤗. Stay safe and keep the vlogs coming. blessings to you and your family 🙏
Yes girl we bought a chest freezer first time last year if I would have known I would of spent a little more and got a stand up freezer.
Lol!!
"What happens at the grandparents, stays at the grandparents". Love it! We have a similar arrangement with our grandkids as well.
A similar haul at a Costco in Australia would cost twice as much. That grocery aisle smooch was couple goals 🥰
Don't even mention South Africa, compared to income living costs are extremely high. 😟😢
Watching you shop gave me heart palpitations because I swear could hear my mother from the grave grumbling about how you put stuff in the cart😳. She was a jenga master with the cart and shopping for 8.
your oldest daughter is so funny and smart! amazing how well she speaks and throwsout jokes :D
First time viewer and now a subscriber. You guys are so sweet and down home. It's so refreshing to see such positive and a loving family
No shame over Christmas still being up.. we still have ours up too... the world has just been so crazy and we’re stuck at home more so we decided to keep it up longer and just enjoy it. Honestly the glow of the tree in the evenings adds a very peaceful vibe.
We're almost doing the same thing. Our tree is still up, but the only things on it are the lights and a red bow on top. My husband is one of those people who wants to pack it all away, but I am still clinging to the tree. We had another one in another room, but he took it all down.
Same here. All Christmas decor still up. Keeps me happy in these crazy COVID times. I love watching tv with all my light up decor around me.
Me too added some more stuff and now it's a Valentine's tree
I have a chest freezer. I tape a sheet of paper and hot glued a magnet to a pen that always stays on top of it. I write down any time I put something in and cross it out when I take it out. That way I always know what’s in there without having to mess around inside it.
I love how gracious and welcoming you are to your Happy People when they see you out 🙂
The price off beef there says yall need to go hunting for a moose. Yall would save a ton of money
I moved away from fairbanks/north pole cause I hated it and I dont have kids. Yet I find so much comfort in watching these videos haha. It makes me nostalgic.
Being a crafty person I'd love to see your local yarn shops & craft stores...big box like hobby lobby & local owned. I couldn't imagine not having yarn on hand!
Happy Monday, Somers. I hope you’re having a good day. I see you’re right back into the ‘shop with me’ video. I love it. I hope you Somers stay safe and warm during the cold, cold weather. Continue on your road on getting that Giant Gold Play Button
That is the reason I refuse to have a chest freezer. I don't like standing on my head to find something. LOL
You need a stand up freezer. Those are awesome.
I have a standup frost free freezer and LOVE it
@@flutterby1975 they do not make the deep freezers any more that you have to defrost them?
@@paulabarton9493 sure they do they make manual defrost and frost free
Chest freezers will hold product for a decent tkme due to the ice in the case of power outage.
It's so weird to see an empty costco. Even throughout the whole pandemic, the one we go to is always so full 😔
Just love your family, Specially the kiddos
Honestly, I’m in VA and prices were very comparable. I thought the total price was excellent for what you purchased. I will spend more than that at Sam’s and not have as much as you got, in my opinion.
I'm from Dayton OH and shop at Sam's Club here. I too thought it would cost more for me to buy all that at Sam's Club.
@@kathleenross9814 sams is a little bit higher than Costco on most things. I’ve shopped at both Cisco and Sams. I would agree prices are very comparable from here and there in Alaska. I’m in California but are prices are higher here then most other states.
I thought so too.
Thank you for showing me Alaska it gets me over my homesickness
Love that you guys show viewers that recognize you! Makes me smile. They are so happy. Great channel!
You are all just so wholesome! I can feel my anxiety easing just watching your videos 💕
Well if you saw where they where filling orders to go out to the outer village's, that could have been why your Fairbank's Costco was low on many items. As they can only get items sent out on the ICE ROADS this time of the year, so I'm sure that is a big reason for your shortages there.
I live 40 minutes north of Atlanta. My Costco has everything always. Certain advantages to the lower 48 for sure
So glad to see your vlogs again! You are one special family! God bless and stay warm!!
You guys are so positive. Its great to see your sense of community.
I really like the costco shopping . Have great week
What happens at grandma's house stays at grandma's house. I second that from a full grown grandma's boy, even though she's gone the love is always there.
Grandparents have the right to spoil their grandkids rotten! :)

Loving Audrey at Grandma's! "What happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's & for future generations 🍧🍨🍧" You beautiful people's 🥰
Moving to Alaska in the next month and you guys have become a real inspiration as well as a vital source of information. Keep being awesome yall.
Would love to start a long term storage soon! Love the hauls ❤
We have a chest freezer. We go through it every so often and find all kinds of stuff that we didn’t know we had. The mask kiss was so funny! Laughed so hard! 😂 😂
I love how you both are so kind and gracious to your followers.
Morning somers family from a very cold and snowy, U.K.
How much snow there
@@bryanjjones4163 we had quite a bit of snow over the weekend, it’s now just frozen solid on the ground , it’s about 3,or 4 inches deep in some places , other places haven’t had much snow at all .
I’m in Scotland and some bits still have snow and some of us have nothing. We have snow here, but drive 15 minutes away and there is nothing 😂
@@LifeWithMrsB we’re the same in Stoke-on-Trent some parts are really deep and the roads are awful but then drive 10-15 mins away and there’s hardly anything. We have hardly anything now it’s just lying on the grass and the paths.
Hi guys I'm from the North East of the UK 🇬🇧, , just wanted to say jope yous are ok xx
I know what your talking about when you have a chest freezer, things get covered up by all the other items one buys, then you just do not know what is really down in the bottom!! So I would say to NEVER buy a chest freezer, buy only a front door freezer, as when you open that door, one can see just about ALL Items that are in ones freezer for sure!! Take Care!!
Love seeing you welcoming viewers to come and say hi.
I just found your channel. What a treat to see a great family in Alaska. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Your channel will be one that we will really enjoy.
Aww you have to love it when you start hearing your parents words come out of your mouth 😂😂
Costco in Ontario Canada limited toilet paper, paper towels, ground beef , we haven't seen clorox wipes since last June.
Our Clorox wipes last less than 5 min when stocked at our Costco in PA. Walmart starting to sse them ❤
Soooo stinking cute!!! I literally binge watch/listen to y'alls vlogs while I am working everyday. Makes me 😁 Keep up the wonderful positivity!
Love and prayers from Florida 💛
I missed you all! The wedding was beautiful! I'm so glad you're back home!💕
Audrey what happens at grandma's stays at grandma's!! Hahahaha... and the ice cream bit... hilarious! I love y'alls Costco hauls... both Wal-Mart's here in my area.... bare portions on the shelves... going to Costco in a week.. so we will see
Hello happy people's from Toronto, ontario Canada. We had a chest freezer as kids. My brother and sister locked me in it as a kid. We were getting chocolate bunnies (which we weren't supposed to be eating), my mom came down stairs and they shut the lid on me. My mom heard me screaming and saved me. Were supposed to get a snow storm tomorrow.
Organize the chest freezer in two halves, with older and newer separate and use up the older stuff before you get into the newer stuff.
You can get additional wire baskets, milk crates or even plywood for dividers to help keep things organized.
As for pizza, i buy the Red Baron pizza, but i put on more sliced pepperoni peppers and sausage. And on my half I put on one can of anchovies.
I bought a new chest freezer just last month and really like having it!
I went to Costco the first week I had the freezer and stocked up!
Fun, fun, fun!
Love this! Moving to Fairbanks in a few months, I am SO ready to Costco haul!
Wow, much respect to you and your family. Its amazing in Alaska but I cant do the cold. I live upstate NY and I am still to this day, a big baby when it comes to our winters.
Plus I have a small garden on the side of my house. Lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, leeks, and a few heads of red cabbage. Love that with a rad of bacon and apples. It's a German thing.

Love it!! My grandmother had treats waiting for me when I would go and visit! Loved going to her house! Great memories!
I miss my grandmother! She passed a long time ago.
Midwest USA. We still have grocery limits. Chicken is plentiful and they always have some on clearance. Bacon has doubled in price. Single parent Neighbor used to buy Chili Mac in the cans for his son however they at still not available. Sugar has doubled in price. But we are lucky to have lots of choices as to which grocery store to go shop.
Your kiddos are so happy! So cute.
I paid a little less than £11 yesterday for the toilet roll here in Scotland which is about $15. My chest freezer is also like a playground 😂😂
I’m in Southern California, and your prices were really only a few dollars more then I pay.
A few dollars per item adds up quickly.
@@royannegw1004 few dollars total. I’m Vancouver, WA we would’ve paid the exact same

Laundry baskets for CostCo hauls are amazing.
I’m a grandma and wishing saw my grand kids more often some I haven’t seen for a year or more 😞. I miss them like a heartache.
I haven't seen my 2 grandchildren since last March. They are teenagers and I really do miss them.
@@nancyk4595 sorry hun that’s rough. Hopefully when this pandemic ends life can move forward again
Interesting! Here in Vancouver, WA those prices are essentially the exact same. Seems like cost of goods really depends on the retailer, which is good since it motivates me more to move there!
Got rid of my chest freezer for that very reason. Bought a new upright and LOVE it!
Thanks for showing us your home, we live down under in Australia 🦘 and we also have Snow but in mountain s far away normally Sydney warm and dry, love to see each and every time. Stay warm 💞
I have milk crates in the bottom of my freezer so I can’t Barry things and it seems to work really well
I feel spoiled at my Costco now. A few items I want to say had similar pricing for the most part but even your TP and paper towel were $5-$6 more then here. Produce in my area is very cheap but I am in farmland Florida.
Also I have a chest freezer and the amount of "hidden" stuff I've found still amazes me.
You never know whats inside the freezer until you are to lazy to go grocery shopping and start eating exclusivley out of it :D
Glad y’all could stock up. Looks like you got a good start.
Nice to be home ! ☃ 🤍
“What happens at grandmas, stays at grandmas...” i like that rule. 😂😂😂
I am just outside of Washington DC, high cost of living area, our Costco prices are very close to yours. What I find most amazing is how few people are in your store! We have to wait in line to even get in because of covid restrictions and it is still so crowded inside.
Same in Utah. It's always crowded in my city.
Same prices near Dulles international airport. Same limits on paper products.
Same here in Jersey, so tempted to move to Alaska! I’m within 30 minutes from 4 Costco’s and they are all crowded!
What happens at grandma’s stays at grandma’s ❤️❤️❤️ special bond they have with each other. There’s a child who is secure in being cherished and loved
I buy those Capri Suns for the grand kids. I flip them upside down and cut a small hole in them. Insert a ice cream stick. Put them in the freezer for about 6 hours. Get them out and cut the foil around them. Instant popsicle. They're so good! I have one once in a blue moon! 🤗😊😁
I guessed $425. I was pretty close. Enjoyed your Cotsco haul. I haven’t been to Cotsco in a while due to the Covid. I am getting my 2nd vaccine in 8 days, so I plan on going there soon. I’ve been going to my local grocery store.
Congratulations 🎊 on getting your 2nd vaccination soon.
Have you done any research on that... might not make it to the store just saying
Please don’t refer to leaving Christmas decorations up this late as lazy. I leave my tree up until March every year. I love the feeling of Christmas during the cold winter months. And if it snows that is a bonus! I get some really awesome pictures for next Christmas card.
I agree! I think we all need a little more happiness and light in the world right now. I'm loving my tree!
Leave my tree up and all inside decorations up till end of February and my outside lights on till the end of January. ☃️❄🎄🎁
Gosh I love your children. They are so special and sweet.
Keep those awesome videos coming...sending much love and positive vibes from the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Costco seems to be the most similar as far as prices in across states, I've seen several different alaska vlogers shopping haul videos and places like kroger, safeway etc seem to be way different, most things at costco are the same as here in oregon or within a dollar or so...
I’m in British Columbia and Costco in Alaska is cheaper than here in most cases which is mind blowing! I don’t even live up north where it should be more expensive! I’m On the south coast
This episode brought to you by America’s hard working farmers and ranchers...
And please don’t forget the truckers making those hauls from farm to shelf.
