Poor Bert and he still films for us. Bless him. I’m just going to go ahead and admit that I’m not tough enough for that kind of life. It was 72 here today and I still feel like it’s cold.
I was thinking the same thing..except 72 where I live is warm for me..
I know... I thought the same thing. I had to break down and buy a carhartt jacket and a couple sweatshirts to wear at work with my preschoolers because 57°-67° was unbearable in the mornings. 😅
Totally agree .
I lived in Alaska for 37 years, that's 37 winters in Alaska, enough, I'm in Northern Arizona now and loving it...
in Ohio and winter gets pretty bad here also. hate when it comes
Audrey and Evelyn singing brought tears once again. So little and precious...don't they grow up fast!
Thank God you had the vision to install a fireplace in your house. Thank God you have knowledge of electricity from your work. In the future you might try to install a restaurant wood stove and oven in your kitchen. You could build an auxilary wood fired kitchen out side your house like Bert's outside office building. The outside kitchen could be built with brick walls and light weight steel roof truses. This would preclude fire danger. God bless your whole family always. We are all children of God.

I know right! 💖💖🥰😍😇😇
The girls singing at the end was absolutely precious. I love that you adapted and over came your challenges. You celebrated Jesus and his wonderful sacrifice for us.
yes
That was my favorite thing about this video. They are so precious!!!
They’re sweet. That’s good.
The emphasis on Jesus Christ, Easter, and the girl's song made the video a special video!
Amen 🙏🏽
Bless every single one of you reading this comment 💗 may the lord bring joy and comfort to those in need like myself
You too sweetheart ❤
90* here in Augusta Georgia today, we only have 2 seasons here now, 11 months of summer and 1 month to work on our AC systems!
I hear ya😎~In Arizona, Phoenix Metro West, we do have 4 "seasons":
Summer, HOT Summer, Blazing Summer, and Brutal Summer🌋🔥:(
Last year, SO many days of 117-122...UGH, I would take this cold Alaskan snow storm anyday🏔!!
@@hollyfisher8811 wow!
Hi from Augusta GA too
Been 90s here most of the Summer this year!! It beats cold weather and snow!!
We were given 2 truck loads of wood. I told my husband we must be going to get a cold front since God was blessing us. Our heater doesnt work. Little did we know it would be the worst cold storm in east texas history. Thank you Lord. Love hearing the girls sing.
How stinking precious were those babies singing at the end!!My how they've grown. Crazy snow!! It was 80 today in Indiana. You handle adversity wonderfully! A storm,no power and yet you celebrated. Stuff memories are made of. I still talk about our blizzard of 78 in Indiana. Lol
Glad you made the best out an Easter snowstorm! “We adapted and overcame” I love that
Amen! So much to feel blessed for
Loved the special by the girls; they did an excellent job. Blessings and safety to your family.
This is probably my favorite CZcams channel now. :) You all have such good attitudes when things come your way! “Got the truck stuck after I pulled out the Ranger. Now I’m gonna use the Ranger to pull out the truck to pull out the Ranger...” 😁 We didn’t have a perfect Easter celebration here this year either, but we were with family and tried to celebrate the true meaning!
Just moved to Eielson AFB like 2 weeks before this storm, it was unbelievable 😳 SO glad your power came back on!
I been binge watching this channel. I love how they give us the ins and outs of Alaska and this couple seems very genuine. I also love how they dont use their kids as props or as content for videos. This couple has a great future on CZcams talking about Alaska
It’s so wild to me that our country is so vast that the weather is so drastically different all over the country.
Australia is much the same 🥰🥰
Right! Florida is HOT while Alaska is having a snowstorm.
Right? here in south Texas it’s 90 degrees today!
For sure! It was nearly 100° F in Arizona over the weekend. Record high temps for Easter weekend.
@@Rosemari753 LOL Florida was super cold Easter weekend but now we are back to normal temps
I am so sorry Bert. I absolutely laughed when you got the truck stuck. It was just so something that would have happened to me.
Same!!! I was dying!🤣🤣🤣
I think we could all relate; Loved how you found your humor, Bert...thats the best way to deal when life throws ya lemons😉
Bert reminds me so much of my husband, he never complains and always has a friendly smile for everyone. Beautiful ending too xx
Glad everyone is OK. Thank you for this video. I loved seeing all the snow and goings on to deal with a storm. Loved the song at the end as well. Beautiful girls 🥰
“We adapted and overcame”, y’all always seem to have the best attitudes even when faced with challenges. Thanks for always being so inspiring! The girls were the absolute cutest! 💕
I love that you both are always smiling and grateful for everything. Thats the most snow I've ever seen and there's Bert out there working like mad and smiling. Amazing family. God Bless.
We were without electricity and water for six days in east Texas and No generator. It got down to 34 inside. We could see our breath. No fun.
I’m so sorry that happened to you.
love from New England
...& I second that from NC~
That was caused by an epic failure in leadership in Texas. Federal regulators warned Texas that its power plants couldn’t be counted on to reliably churn out electricity in bitterly cold conditions a decade ago, when the last deep freeze plunged 4 million people into the dark.
They recommended that utilities use more insulation, heat pipes and take other steps to winterize plants -- strategies commonly observed in cooler climates but not in Texas. So they didn't do what they were told and it was at the peoples' expense. Sorry man.
I’m sorry that must have been horrible!
Third that from Alaska
Oh my those girls singing....oh my heart. Praise Jesus!!!
Omg!!! Those beautiful lil angels singing!!! Your Andrey is such a star.what a great memory for you to have how very sweet! Have a great day today
I'm from Eastern NC. We had a snow/ice storm in the early 2000's during the Christmas holiday. My mama used a gas grill and a single burner propane gas stove to cook the entire meal when we lost power.
Vince Lombardi "Everyday we will pursue perfection, knowing we will never achieve it. But along the way, we will pick up Excellence."
I love that! Never heard that.
He was an amazing motivator...
Amazing man he was!
I saved that and I'll repost . That made me think real hard!!!! 😊
That is epic !
You guys are precious! I love how you are all so cheery in the videos even when things aren't perfect. :)
Hearing those precious voices makes my whole day! A belated Happy Easter and may the Lord keep you safe amidst the storm!
Not seventy years, I grew up in Alaska and have seen whole neighborhoods disappear under the snow. We would have to tunnel out of our front doors. No power and everything you own buried. The blizzards would last days. We survived in the kitchen with our gas oven. Seen whole houses collapse within a couple days from the snow. And from December thru February it stayed below 20, minus the wind chill. My family still lives there and says it’s nothing like it used to be. Thank goodness.
Exactly!!! I have lived here in Alaska my entire 41 yr's of life and we have gotten waaayyyy more snow than this dumped at once along with super bad winds. I grew up in Moosecreek out by Eileson A.F.B. and the coldest I ever seen was -69° and my dad had to take my car battery and thaw it out in the garage and charge it up because I was still required to go to work!! We got dumped soo much snow just a couple year's ago here in Fairbanks that they literally had no where to put it and were bringing dump truck loads over to this pond by my mother's house on College Rd. It's frustrating sometimes to see people tell other's that don't live in Alaska the true facts or exagerate!!
@@AlaskanAngelz I grew up in Anchorage in the 70’s and have photos standing at the end of a tunnel on our porch after a blizzard. Every home was under ten feet of snow including anything you owned outside. Nothing moved and there was no power. I see stuff now online and laugh because these people have no idea whatsoever of what a real blizzard looks like. They pulled dead people from cars for weeks after. I was in Shugnack Alaska for several months and it dropped to 120 below with the wind chill factor. My family still lives there and says it gets to 80-90 degrees at times on their porch in Anchorage. When I was there, if it got over 65 it was a heat-wave and we were at Goose-lake swimming. Anything over forty degrees caused everyone to cut their Jean pants into shorts. lol. Regardless, living in Alaska during the winter is a full time job that’s for sure. Shovel your way in, and shovel your way out. Every day. I remember when glacier park had cabins ten miles out on the glaciers for the boy-scouts. That Glacier I am told is twenty miles offshore from the melt off. Times have changed that’s for sure. Bless
Climate change/Gobal warming...
@@pennycaldwell8141 Wrong, the Alaskan oil rigs have been pulling tropical fossils from the ground for years. Look, the world has been doing its cycles long before we knew what it was. We have only had technology since the forties. Remember the Ozone scare the Democrats scared the world about, you know the first green new deal? Then we found out it’s actually needed and a normal occurrence that happens. It’s always about the green new scare deal to milk us of hundreds of trillions of dollars for other causes. But. Nothing to see here right? If you are foolish enough to think so I will sell you the Golden Gate Bridge for free.
@@st.roberts4295 I wasn't implying global warming/climate change will be the end of us all. The weather is cyclic.
The end of us all will be caused by the way we treat one another...
Namaste
Hopefully, we'll really learn to love one another, one and all.
Yes, one and all, a critical mass to turn the human heart... ❤
Thank you for sharing. So very precious the girls singing, while you played the guitar. I loved it!
Oh my goodness! That last little bit with Evelynn and Audrey was just the sweetest thing! That snowfall was amazing!
So happy everything worked out for your family this Easter...and the girls singing was absolutely Adorable!!!😊❤
Yall make me smile! I am so grateful to have found the Somers family, love yall like crazy!
Wow, it is beautiful there. We got snow last month with that cold front that hit all the midwest. We did alright here in Wichita Kansas. Missouri got hit really bad. I'm glad you had a wonderful Easter. I loved seeing the girls singing. They were so little. Love you all and hoping you stay warm.
That is a amazing snow down storm. So glad you are all warm and safe. And no one was sick this year. Happy Easter and God bless you and your beautiful family ❤
Haven't been in a storm like that in over 10yrs. Thank goodness we too have a fireplace and camping equipment. Hopefully the storm will be over soon. Take care and be safe ❤
Thank you for always putting out such uplifting & encouraging content, even when things aren't going too good. My husband has some very serious health issues, & you guys help me see & feel that life can be better with love & God at the center of it. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me, & I'm sure to others as well.
What a sweet close out. Glad everything went well. Snow is beautiful and you all managed it . You brighten my day with your family videos. Thank you! Blessings to you and your family 🙏
The ending...in church...all the music...perfection! Feel blessed to have watched that.
I'm sorry for the snow, but happy the lights came on and you persevered. You celebrated Easter, the best day of the Church year.
I hope things are getting better for you all with the unpredictable weather, thank you for sharing the little treasure at the end of the video with the babies singing oh my goodness they've grown so fast
Happy Easter to the Somers family. He is risen! I loved the girls singing at the end. So glad y'all safe with so much snow. My Aussie mind can't even comprehend snow like that. In Australia Easter is a 4 day long weekend and usually it coincides with school holidays so many families go on holidays. Camping at Easter time is a favourite activity as its Autumn and we like to take the last warm days to camp before our version of winter.
He is risen, indeed!
We have been blessed in Wisconsin this year with a mild winter. We ended up with an early spring thank the Lord. Praying all are safe and that the weather improves.
You will probably have one more snow storm. I'm willing to bet we will have one more here in Northern Ohio
Ya, It pushed 80° here yesterday in Southeastern Wisconsin
I love seeing the big family vlogs again. Things are starting to go back to normal and we can gather!!! Thanks for sharing your Easter. You certainly didn’t need to do that considering how crazy it was. ❤️
Thank you for sharing the truth of the Gospel for all to hear! Absolutely beautiful song had me tears!
Awe the girls were so cute. Sorry that you had a rough time Bert but things will be okay. Things we take for granted was hard to come by or didn't exit years ago. Thank you for still recording for us through it all. You are a real trooper. God bless you all.
When you realize that your day didn't go perfect and that you had your struggles throughout the day but can still recognize and validate He had it way worse...that is grace. Happy Easter dear friends. You are remarkable! 🌼🐑🌼
My daughter is getting ready to move there next week ! Her husband will be stationed there for the next 3 years 😳
Oh my....the girls singing...so beautiful!!! TYFS 👍👍👍😚🐕🐶🐾😁🇺🇸
I hope my favorite Alaskan family stays Safe.
How stinking adorable was them singing at the end ....it melted my heart 💜
Aawww, the girls were so little and precious teared me up! Poor Bert he sure did his share of overcoming, hehehe! I love that you all find that silver lining in every situation! Happy Easter Somers family!
Wow...you certainly adapted to the situation well! Stay safe, stay warm Happy Somers!
Was that Audrey & Evenlyn when they were younger singing in church? Bless Bert’s heart. He was all over the place. Your Easter dinner looked good. Love y’all
yes, that was the girls singing in church when they were younger
This is so nice to see a family come together and help each other when things go nuts!!! I love you ALL!❤❤❤❤❤❤✌🏻😊 HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND!!!
Hope y’all had a fantastic Easter. Sunday! Love your videos... keep them coming!!!
I am so happy that y'all are safe and sound. Goodness, that is a lot of snow ❄️ That generator sure come in handy 👍 Y'all, stay warm, Happy People. Many Blessings 🙏
I'm not sure where this quote came from but I look at it everyday. "Today make the decision to do better than yesterday. Strive for perfection, humbly knowing we will never be perfect. Do not give up the fight to do better than yesterday"
Wow, you were prepared! Glad that family was able to come together. Meal looked absolutely scrumptious!
Yay Bert, hero for hooking up generator!!!
This was an amazing video! Just goes to show you that even though things may go wrong, there’s always a silver lining! In the end, your day was fabulous despite the challenges! Love you all!
Happy Easter, everything looks beautiful! Enjoy the snow, you may not see another storm like this for many years to come.
I live in what's called the "Snow Belt Region" in central NY. We get WAY more snow that that. But it's AMAZINGLY cold where you are. Keep safe and God Bless You All this coming winter. (as it's now November 2021 now)
Thank god you haven’t lost your sense of humour Bert when the vehicles got stuck! 😄😎 your unflappable! 👍
Happy Easter! Glad you were able to get the power back on and enjoy Easter together. Just subscribed and we love your channel!
I'm in Texas. We close down at the first sign of snow/ice. And Bert just heads on down to the gas station during the worst storm.
The ending was worth it. Beautiful children praising Jesus. Nothing more perfect than that.
Love the family CAN DO spirit!!!! 💛 And every time you post videos of the girls singing it just touches my soul. 🙏
Wow all that snow in April . Your cooking always looks fantastic . Love Audrey and Evelyn singing at the end .
We are in Pensacola Fl and know too well what having no power is with the hurricanes that come through from June-Nov. I’m glad it came back on for you so you could finish the day with family. Looks like you had a nice Easter too. Stay warm! 💜
Weird; we are close to you, an we had a bit of snow, but that was it. Made for an interesting Sunrise Service on the bluff overlooking where the Klondike meets the Yukon rivers. Not much sun! A great service in the snow though, with all the churches of Dawson getting together.
Awesome family comes together when times are tuff...he is risen 🙏❣🥚🐣🐇
No matter what challenges you faced. You exuded positive energy and attitude. Sharing this alone can help many, by using you both as an example. Kudos 👍👍👊👊👊👊😁❤
But....live in the ghetto and see if the same attitude. Being rich sure does help at inconvenient times...
WOW you guys are getting hammered with snow!
It's nice here in southern Michigan, almost 80 the past 2 days! Loving it!!!
Loved the video at the end, they were so cute in their Easter outfits and singing was great too!! That put a smile on my face, so grateful for that thank you!
I needed it, going in for surgery on my knee next week so been a bit anxious & frankly scared. It has to be done tho.
Thank you again for taking my mind off of my own problems for a bit!!!
Hope you guys get better weather soon!!
I am EXHAUSTED! Stay safe and warm, praying spring shows up soon!🙏🌞🌴😎🤸♀️🤗✌
God Bless y’all. I can’t believe that you got that much snow for Easter. Bert you are amazing. Let us know how much snow you ended up getting. Lol
Good lesson for so many.... no matter what life throws at us we get to choose how we react. I love how your family proudly serves the lord. May God continue to bless y’all. Seeing the girls sing was precious.
Happy Easter to my favorite family in Alaska - please keep safe xx
The girls singing was beyond precious! They're young ladies now. You've raised them well!
Easter was the first time we have all been together since last March. Our joy in being together again overshadowed anything that happened. I finally got to hold my 7 month old grandson. Pure bliss. God is might.
Aww~Sounds like it was the most amazingly BLESSed day together🙏😍:) Congratulations on that Precious New GrandSon and bet that was the most special moment EVER while holding him on Easter💙!! May I ask his name?? We just had Micah Alexander in February, after 4 Gorgeous Girlies💕💖💝~
Told my Daughter & SIL that Lil Bro will NEVER be allowed to date, lol.
@@hollyfisher8811 He is Asher Jeremy. And the last of them my Twins are done! Lol. And he makes 3 boys for one twin. The other twin has 3 girls. It's boy, girl, girl, boy, girl, boy. 🥰
I’m glad it was still a beautiful and blessed 🐣 Easter!
Great video... the past 4 years we have had snow storms that shut the city down for 2 weeks, power out, trees down, telephones out, WiFi out, stores empty, streets cover with snow and ice... God bless
It was about 80 degrees here today....but April 1st we had snow and gone in a day. Lovely to hear the girls singing
You made it through the rough and challenging day. You made lemonade out of lemons ! Hope in the end, it was a good Easter. God bless your family and all you do in lifting our spirits in tough times ! Things are slowly looking up. :)
If we never had hard times we wouldn't appreciate the good times as much. Something I truly believe. We'll figure it out and get through it, then we'll really see all our blessings in this beautiful life!! Happy Easter!
Happy Wednesday, Somers. I hope you have a safe day. As a former Fairbanks Alaska resident, I dealt with bad snowstorms in Alaska over the years for two and a half decades. Much prayers, love and support to you Somers. My advice to you, stay safe and warm during these bad winter advisories.💕🙏🏾💕🙏🏾💕🙏🏾💕💕💕🙏🏾💕💕💕💕🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I hope you Somers stay safe while you’re still together. Continue on your road on getting that Giant Gold Play Button.
Thank you so much for adding the singing at the end. It was so precious. Love your channel.
Wow !!! It’s like 80 were I live !! Hope you had a great Easter and stay safe !! I do love Alaska and the snow too, but since it’s spring hopefully it will warm up for you guys here soon as well
The girls singing at the end! So Precious!! Love you all. Many Blessings to you and yours
Holy guacamole, so much snow! So glad you where able to have a wonderful Easter!
Over comers for certain...Admire your resourcefulness and your joy.
Precious daughters singing were honey to our souls.
Happy Easter you guys 💕, I love your positivity, yes ma’am, there’s always someone that’s worse off , I always tell my kids ,stay positive, stay strong, stay kind , and God will see you Through. You guys are amazing . Please stay safe . 💕💕
WOW!! The snow was beautiful and interuptive!! Great that you guys are equipped to handle it. Here in the part of Fla where I live we get random power outages all the time. This morning we had one. Thankfully it only lasted bout an hour. Love the little clip of the girls singing in church, sooo adorable!!
I enjoyed watching thid video, but the end was the best it melted my heart, I just love love you guys, Happy resurrection day blessings to you all 😘🙏💕
Love you all! Thank y’all for sharing!!👋❤️😘
I am so thankful for the two great grandbabies I've received over the last few months little boy little girl. I know I am so blessed
To look out the window an see the beautiful snow falling amongst the trees.beautiful.we didn't get that this year.1 st time I can remember in 57 yrs.
It was 81 degrees today when I was out mowing lawn. Had to turn AC on here in Kentucky. Wild the difference in weather
Awwww was a treasure to see the girls singing as small kids!!
Bless Your Hearts! Y’all make me wanna cry with who you are and how you Always Add Jesus in.
So glad to see you guys get together. I have missed seeing that.
Bert you don’t show any stress! You may feel it, but you don’t show it!
You did a remarkable job!
Happy Belated Easter to you and your wonderful family! 😘
