In tonight's video, I will be putting emphasis on my Scottish accent by incorporating certain words and phrases which hopefully sound tingly in my accent. So yes, you guessed it: I have tried to use as many words with the rolling "r" sound as possible! The content of the video will mainly include a kind of guided meditation/visualisation where I take you to the west coast of Scotland. See you there!
Triggers include: ear to ear breathy whispers, anticipatory whispers and trigger words, slow whispers, storytelling, hand movements.

Make sure you travel to Dundee, then. That's where Shorty is from if I am not mistaken. Different parts of Scotland have different accents/dialects. Edinburgh is different than Glasgow, which is different than Inverness, which is different than Aberdeen. Personally the accent around Perth or Dundee is possibly my favorite. I'm very fond of Inverness, too. I could listen to Karen Gillan all day.

It's lovely to see people outside of the country appreciating our accents!! It probably sounds bizarre but in Scotland, Scottish accents have some negative connotations - namely stupidity, poverty and being "rough" - so it's nice :D

Mostly the same for me. It's one of the few that I watch multiple times. It's the whole storytelling that does it. While I do like some of the produced themed ASMR, you can't connect as much as you can with a simple storytelling. I could listen to Shortbread tell stories all day and it has that nostalgic, believable vibe from your childhood and mom and dad or teacher telling you stories.
This one was so good that I felt intoxicated. I was working on a lego set listening to thus video and started feeling an almost out of body experience. Your description of the surroundings was captivating and entrancing!
You know it’s a success when I start dozing off before 3 minutes. Love the darkness of the video! So soothing!

Yesterday was a really tough day. It's not a good time in my life, and last night I was so anxious that I didn't know what to do anymore.
I stumbled upon this video and I don't know why, I don't know how, but I listened to it and I closed my eyes, and these words and sounds.. well, they managed to make me relax and I was able to sleep peacefully. Moved to the UK 3 years ago and struggled so much with Scottish accents, to the point started disliking it. Much to my surprise, it’s the accent that’s been growing on me the most and become one of my favourites around here since then! Such a beautiful country too.
