- Ricky Carmichael has more combined AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross National wins than any other rider in history. From 1997 to 2006, Carmichael won a championship series title each year.
Known as the Greatest of All Time, Carmichael has re-written the record books in the sport of AMA Motocross. In 2002, Carmichael recorded the first perfect season in AMA motocross history by earning 24 straight moto victories for 12 overall wins in the premier class -- a feat he repeated in 2004. When he retired, he had 150 AMA National wins.

He may seem quiet but I see his intensity, even today. Amazing rider who worked on everything he could to get that edge.
Rickey has, is and always will be my all time favorite.
Ricky is the epitome of DOMINATION, there will never be another one like him, I didn't like him at first, bc I was a huge MC fan, and he dethroned Jeremy, then I was almost forced into liking him, if you don't like him, doesn't matter, you have to respect him!

Ryan "Ryno" Hughes said Carmichael's secret is his brain's ability to react and proces things as it's happening. It takes the human brain around .04 seconds to react to something and Ricky's gift is being able to react as quick as he can.
If you ride then you know how hard it is to ride that fast, people just don't realize how hard it is to ride motocross, they think you sit on the bike and twist the theottle, they have no idea about arm pump and how much it takes out of you, especially these four strokes, the 450's are heavy, it took me a long time to get used to mine. But yeah you're right, I've heard that before about him.
@ 1:54 - "He just lapped 2nd place!" - I feel confident in saying that - the GOAT - will be the ONLY rider in the history of Professional Motocross - to ever do that!

Jeffrey Herlings did lap to 3th place in Lierop. And in muddy conditions like where RC lapped everyone it's different then normal conditions..
