This is so great! I haven’t been doing yoga at home cause I HATE practicing on carpet and I moved into a place that has carpet everywhere. I went out and got the materials today and whipped it up in an afternoon! Can’t wait to start doing yoga at home again!
OMG!!! Thank you so much for posting this. I used your video to make a board. I enlisted the help of my teenage son and the staff at Home Depot and we made 1 small changes to the way we created ours. I used 1 roll of 2 sided Vinyl tape instead of silicone because I didn't have time to wait for the overnight drying. Also, my vinyl flooring fit perfectly on the 3ftx7ft board so I was able to eliminate cutting. 6inx36in vinyl planks. Thanks so much for posting this because it was very helpful getting me started and I took you up on your tip of putting 1 board at the top and bottom horizontally and the rest vertically. Love it and have received many positive comments from people that have seen it. Namaste
@@AnnetteSmall thanks for the reply. I ran out that day and got a 1/2” board. Which I did this a year ago! I went with a more expensive birch finished plywood so I didn’t have to bother laying flooring down.
Thank you for this wonderful video tutorial. Made a platform this afternoon after not practicing in a studio for several months and it is great. I found laying the vinyl planks (36" x 6") side by side long-ways on the plywood made for a good fit.
Hi great idea although the board is small enough to move around I'm wanting to lay a larger board unmovable and put vinyl on top my question is if u keep board in one place for long time/ a year does the carpet underneath stay mould free?
I used this tutorial to make a board today. I can't wait to try it out! Thanks so much for this

How is it holding up? Any warping issues? Plywood is expensive here so just curious before I invest.
@@stephaniesochan5273 it’s holding up beautifully. It did warp a little bit but barely noticeable. I’m still very happy with it.

I am an over the road truck driver. I threw my matress away and I am replacing my bed with a Yoga/Sleeping platform. Thanks for sharing!!!
Awesome solution to a challenge many of us yogis have!

We made one today and it is perfect! 👌 Thank you so much for this video!
Love this idea! Does it slide around on the carpet when you're doing yoga?
Right. Im wondering if some sort of rubber lining would help

Any word on how this does outside on grass?
Hi Bonnie, thanks for sharing. Does your yoga mat slip on the vinyl flooring? Thanks!
Any issues after using it for a while? Plywood is super expensive here right now but I really need a better surface as my yoga mat slides on my carpet
Do you know if 1/5” for thickness is okay?
@1:20 nails on fleek bih
I’ve been considering buying a life board but it’s like 125 dollars... I’m thinking I might do this instead!
The life board warps over time..
You should sell me one.
