    Hi Henry! So cool to see your collection and space! I’m 48, been in the airline/commercial industry my whole life. My father worked for Western and me @ Delta for 28 years. This is special and something I wish I had or did. I’d probably end up playing airport in your man cave for 2 days straight… impressive.. be so cool to see.. thanks for sharing. Scott/DL

    Very impressive collection Henry, your passion for aviation has always inspired me. Really appreciate you sharing this!
    I recall purchasing the 707 & 720 DVD from you in 2007 and I still enjoy it to this day.

    Hi Henry,
    Yes I brought alot of airliner transfer and airliner kitsets from ATP between 1979 and 2000 nowadays get kitsets and transfers from AHS and here New Zealand buy transfers of New Zealand Airline's ( present and past) transfer made by old models ( also they do alot RNZAF transfers both present and past as well) based in the north Island. Also what amazing collection aircraft you have very impressed.

    • @JetFlix
      @JetFlix  Před 3 lety +1

      I am happy to hear you are another Clint Groves ATP customer from decades past. He was a true pioneer in the airline model and slide collecting hobbies. A legend. I also started as a teenager in the late 70s and bought models and decals from ATP back then.

    hi good video , I also love the aviation golden age . my brain is log in the 70s and 80s. planes today are nice too but I will never have the passion for them as for the old planes .

    Wow, what a collection. The CP Air jumbo did it for me, it was the most colourful plane i remember as a kid going plane spotting. Others that stick in my mind were the Laker Airways Skytrain (DC10) and the first aircraft i flew on, a Dan Air 727. I could talk all night about my early plane spotting days. I’m hoping you can answer me a question 🙏, i was watching a test stream you did a couple of days ago and you altered you camera to make the props look better. Did you increase the shutter speed to do that? Here’s hopeing for a reply and can’t wait for your stream to go live.

    • @JetFlix
      @JetFlix  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Michael, I hate the frozen prop view in videos. I cannot watch them. I like the natural disc view of props. I just switched to shutter priority and slowed the shutter down until the desired disc look becomes apparent. We will launch the live shows as soon as we get some decent weather. The lobg range weather is daily rain for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully that will change.

    Hi Henry , I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and collection, I was lucky enough to to come across a Verkuyl Air Canada DC-8 ( Which got me collecting Travel Agents Models) In your estimation what would be worth in CAD? Regards Ben

    • @JetFlix
      @JetFlix  Před 3 lety +2

      I have been collecting travel agent models since the mid 1980s and have never seen a Verkuyl Air Canada DC-8. Can you please post a photo or video to clarrify. I suspect it is a Fermo model which were made in large numbers and would value in the 200 - 300 range. I have written a 160 page book on the values of aircraft display models which might be of further reading for you: www.henrytenby.com/aircraft-display-model-collector-investor-appraisal-guide-first-edition/

    • @JetFlix
      @JetFlix  Před 3 lety

      I started my DVD business around 2003 and produced about 70 aviation DVDs by the time I stopped producing aviation DVDs in 2016-2017. I stopped producing as people stopped buying the last DVDs I produced. My DVD market and customers evaporated to essentially nothing.

    so is the british airways l1011 negus for sale? also do you have any of the models listed in my last comment that you would sell? especially a CANADIAN AIRLINES 767-300 1990's i' have always loved that livery in that aircraft, i'll tell you why lol...because i was such a airpane freak when i was younger i use to know every single airlines number my heart and my walls in my room was covered with all the airline numbers lol i use to call the airline reservation numbers 24/7 all day long just to get quotes on flights and mainly to ask what aircraft was used on what routes lol and they agents use to send me models all the time, and i use to get timetables all the time and i remember one specif one was AMERICAN AIRLINES i guess when they partnered with canadian airlines around 1995 or 96, the timetable had a american airlines 757 or 767 on top and below was a canadian 767-300 and i loves that livery lol thought i would share that with you so you would know why i want this model, and since your from canada, maybe you would have one that you would sell me? i been looking for that model ever since then i'm really waiting on gemini, inflight200 or jc wings to make it in 1:200 i'm sure eventually inflight or jc wings will make one one of these days since they already made a dc-10 and 737-200 and A320 wich i love the 737-200 in canadian and the A320

    I COLLECT 1:200 DIECAST MODELS, DO YOU HAVE ANY GEMINI, INFLIGHT200 OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT? JCWINGS IS COMING OUT WITH A BOAC VC-10 THAT I NEED TO GET WITCH I THINK WOULD BE MY FIRST INTAGE AIRCRAFT MODEL, I WANT TO START ADDING SOME VINTAGE MODELS IN MY COLLECTION, SUCH AS THE COMET VC-10, VISCOUNT, DC-4,DC-6 ETC.

    • @JetFlix
      @JetFlix  Před 3 lety

      The mass produced diecast world of 1/200 scale is a completely different world than vintage agency display models. It is like comparing Ikea art to the works at the Louvre or the British Museum.
