Same. I did everything possible with John in rdr1 and everything possible with Arthur in rdr2.

Finally got 100% today. Remember playing this back in 2013-2014 but didn't fully 100% it. So happy to revisit this masterpiece of a game and put it to rest. 13/2/22.

For Anyone stuck at 99.5%! I had the same problem coming back to this game recently. 3 things possible. 1.) Out of the mini games you've played, win at least two times making a profit. If you have all the outfits then the only mini games you should look to play are black jack, horse shoe & arm wrestling. 2.) Look up "California" & "Aztec Gold" strangers mission locations on google in case you missed them. 3.) Do the "Remember My Family" mission as Jack Marston in Mexico. If you're like me I did everything except the last mission where you find the guy who killed you father (John Marston). Only reason I didnt do it was because I thought the game just ended and you couldn't play it anymore but do it. The achievement "Redeemed" pops up after the credits. Hope this helps man!

I just received this achievement today! I was under the impression that you have to kill/capture all forty-something bounties for the achievement, but I was wrong, only needed to complete all specific locations with 20 bounties, made things a lot easier. For me, the gaining all 10 ranks for the master hunter challenges is the most challenging aspect of attaining this achievement; the other ambient challenges are not so bad. For the survivalist challenges, however, at first, I was under the impression that you can collect the plants/flowers in any order, not in the order by rank. So, at first, I collected all the different ones required in a random order, not consecutively. Thankfully, by doing this, I was still able to reach rank 6 and move from there, but I was so upset that I had to redo the last four. Excessive editing note: buying a survivalist map really hastens the process of the survivalist challenges. I mean, it is doable to acquire the plants without them, but it will take longer finding them on your own unless you have a decent idea of where to find each plant. I also did not find completing all the mini games as much of a challenge either, including the completion of the gang hideouts, buying all properties, completing all jobs, etc. The process of gaining this achievement, if anything, is more laborious and tedious as opposed to it being extremely challenging. I would say just be patient and take your time, and if possible, I would utilize a personal checklist of all tasks which need to be fulfilled, makes getting this achievement a whole lot easier as opposed to playing the guess and check game in your head even though I did not make one myself; I just think it would have made the process easier for me and perhaps easier for future candidates. Overall, it is a fun process, and at times, a bit boring with getting the collectibles.

Guys for some reason I have 19 stranger mission done and 94 out of 94 areas unlocked.

Alex Mercer there is 19 strangers bro. Aside from the basic marked ones there is "Aztec Gold", "I know you" & "Remember My Family".

Just a note, there is a map needed for discovering locations which is only found in the gunstore in Escalera, whereas all other maps are found in general stores

When this first came out I put so many hours into it. This was the first rockstar game that I 100 percent completed. One of the best games ever I liked this one better then part 2
TIP: Start with the challenges since they are harder and give you much bonuses (Buy the maps too!) And try to get the outfits as fast as you can, then the rest is gonna be way easier.

Please help I'm stuck at 99.5% I've gotten everything.game says I have 17 stranger missions and all 20 bounties... do I have to be profitable in the mini games overall, not just once?

Juanasinjuan23 when you pause the game and select STATUS it's under the label SCORE and found at the very bottom of the list. (Bounty Hunter- New Austin Locations etc.) you should have 8 in NA, 8 in Nuevo Paraiso (Mexico) & 4 in West Elizabeth (Black Water & Tall Trees area)

We weren't misnformed. Solomon's Folly wasn't available on the Xbox 360 until the Game of the Year Edition for that console came out

I went 2 days looking for what I missed! I finished the story, mini games, jobs, etc. I counted my stranger missions and realized that I didn't do Aztec gold!!! It was easily missed because I finished the main story. I assumed that all stranger missions were done!! Lol finally 100% (redeemed) thanks! I hope they add extra missions-- red dead 2?!

This game is soooo freak-in awesome, I wish I could go back in time and live the life in the wild wild west, I know I wouldn't last but it would be so cool just for the experience. This is coming from an Indian- American (not native American but from india) and proud to be an American. :)
Late tip but you have to have 5 bounties for New Austin, Mexico, and West Elizabeth. The remaining 5 are up to the player.

Man I need help Ive been playing red dead for bout 3 yrs now and I'm almost finish, I have 99.5% done, but I cnt figure out wat I havent done. I have watch the vid on 100% complete and I have everything that u talked about...from all 57 missions all area's found all bounties captured all mini games played all house's all rare weapons. I have everything except the last outfit which is the fed agent. Im playing on 360 and I thought I needed the assassin but I guess thats for ps...please help me!

Did you complete horsebreaking? I was stuck at 99,5% today, but I went to Ridgewood Farm and Chuparosa to complete those tasks and then I reached 100%. It took me 5 years to complete the game

I honestly have done most of it not knowing how close I was to 100%ing it, I was trying to get all the outfits and honestly just that takes out a big chunk of the percentage just going for them. So now I'm just saying why not and going for the rest of the things to fully complete the game.
I replayed this on the Xbox One 1 in prep for RDR2 and I managed to get 100% done.

on bounties on new austin i got 8 nuevo paraiso 7 and west elizabeth 3.
I've been rotating all three and it won't update the ones I bring in.
I will do one in one city then move to another and yet no updates.
i'm at 99.8% done.
What gives?
winston smith In Mexico make sure you go to Chuparosa, Escuela & El Presidio. Always go during the day and wait a min or two for the dudes to post up the bounty. If you're like me and did all the main missions before going for 100% El Presidio will look all burnt up and blown to shit, don't worry, enter the town and wait a bit until some dude post the bounty there. For the ones at west Elizabeth always go to Black Water and wait for the bounties there.
winston smith each unique bounty counts as .1% so if you're at 99.8% and only have 7 in Nuevo Paraiso & only 3 in West Elizabeth then what I said should be it for you. You need to have 8 bounties done for Nuevo Paraiso & 4 in West Elizabeth.
Ok. Excellent vid, bro, as with all your others. I have a question for you and the other users. I obtained my "Legend of the West" outfit and I changed into it. However, now, when I go to any of my safehouses, I'm not given the option to change into any other outfit. Any help would be appreciated.

i remember when i got this. i purposely left the "Remember my family" stranger until the last moment. was pretty sick. if your wondering about the bounties, go to stats in the menu and then misc. i think and at the bottom it shows how many bounty locations you've done. from memory there's 8 in new austin, 8 in mexico and 4 in west Elizabeth.

help me, i got 99,4% i complete all gang hidouts i won in all mini games i got all outfits, i have all wepons i worked all 5 jobs completed the story line and the 18 strangers, and i got in the stats all 20 bountis alive: 9 in new autin 8 in noevo paraiso and 5 in west elizabeth... but in the areas discovered says 94/94 but its says to: New austin areas 44/45 and West elizabeth 16/17.
and i buy and use all the map locations that they are seling in the general store. is that what its mising?hlp
I have two questions. Are there stranger missions that are only available at certain times? Does the bureau outfit count as one of the outfits that u have to get? Because u unlock it after getting %100...

Good video, but I bought all the maps as far as i can tell and my stats say I still didn't visit one area in mexico. Yet i can't buy anymore maps from the general stores...
So my question is, can every area be found by just walking over the roads or do you really need to go over the entire map

here is a tip for the areas thing: use the poster you got with the game, its a map that shows all the areas
The FBI uniform is a solid reason to 100% the game.
So for the games do I need to win a game of each or in my stats page have no negative money on the games, becuase I’m -$247 in poker 😭

@16YearsInHell I had the same problem you have. If your missing location is in Nuevo Paraiso, then the location may be Plata Grande. Plata Grande is a cave system that is in between Tesoro Azul and Sidewinder Gulch. I hope this helps you.

UPDATE (22/3/23): after hours of tinkering, i've finally managed to run this game on xenia with optimized settings! resolution scale at 2 with 60-ish fps on average. 😍 lezzgooo!!

on the bollards outfit i searched theives landing for hours, then i just realized you had to open the chest in the warehouse.....

For the mini games do you have to have a profit over all or just make a profit once? I've done like 25 bounties and everything. I have -375 poker, -10 horseshoes, -86 blackjack. Does that matter?

You buy it at the tailors in thieves landing. The social club suit is given when you join the rockstar social club online
there are actually 94 locations, and some of them arent on maps, like the 2 railroad bridges from new austin to west elisabeth. you need to cross them to be unlocked. if you still dont have all locations (check in start>stats>general) check south of rio del lobo, because that was my last location.
@Wonderbread96 are u sure u did the mission Remember My Family? it isnt a big letter location but shows up as a stranger task and is the 57th mission in the game

@tansparentghosts yes, but just to be clear. Its NOT that there are 20 location where you can find the bounty poster posted on a wall. The 20 locations are the places that the poster says the bounty was last seen. For example, i believe Bearclaw Camp is one of the bounty locations
