The quality of this product is very good and the install was super easy.
Just installed my AirBim on my 18' Cruise. Easy install with great instructions. Great product! One word caution when removing the torx screws. They use thread lock and the screws can strip easy. Make to have a good T30 bit.
It would be helpful to have a view from the outside of the boat too. The PDF does show it clearly though. Thanks for the guide!
Do you have a link where to purchase this product from please? It is a painful one person event to get the Bimini into launch mode -- I have the 13 footer Switch, this would be a nice addition.

Will it hurt to avoid drilling the holes and avoid using the set screws?
We have not seen this mount move, you could try not using the set screws. We do not recommend that but it should work just fine. Worst case is if you notice it moving then re adjust your mount and use the set screw. Just check your mount once and while to make sure it is in the same location.
