Just a recommendation, when you get home from church, turn this on and worship with your wife or husband to finish out the day with the Lord! Glorious worship unto the Lord indeed!
Among the many things that struck me about this concert - Sproul's love of the Word and of the history of Luther's bravery and the Reformers, in general - what moved me was seeing that in Jesus, genders and races harmonize. You see beauty in each face that makes, not only the notes, but, like America's "E Pluribus Unum", out of the many, one. Two genders, several races, all beautiful and made one in the *only* One who can erase barriers of bias and hatred. Glorifying Jesus, the only healing we can rely on and music is an avenue to that as so beautifully demonstrated in the singers' faces. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.
Two years prior to RC's eternally residing in that Secret Place, and four years hence, these melodies increase our longing for Christ, in the here as well as the hereafter, coronavirus notwithstanding. The world can have their diseased crown, my Father is polishing mine. And those who shelter beneath His encompassing wings.
It has been close to 8 years since Edie and Rick Merrill attended St. Andrews Chapel for many years until medical issues cut out time short. We made our annual fall visits to Florida to listen to our dearly beloved Dr. Sproul. Listening to this concert brought back many fond memories of Dr. Sproul's sermons and teachings as well as this very talented choir. There has never been a place of worship I'd rather be at this very hour, than St. Andrews Church in Sanford, Florida. I love all of my fellow Christian's who continue to worship at beautiful this chapel.
Deeply touching my soul. I am reminded about the champions of faith right away from the old covenant, New covenant to deformation period. May the bless His saints.
As Pastor Sproul expressed in this concert that "these hymns that you hear tonight are sacred music for the church, giving glory to the Saint", since he heard the concert for the first time, these hymns and especially "The Secret Place" (min 48) are sacred music for my spirit, for my daily devotional with the Lord. I just thank God for all those pastors like Pastor Sproul who are dedicated to preaching, teaching, and preserving healthy dotrina according to the Scriptures. Pastor Sproul, won the battle and is victorious in the kingdom of God.
Hymns that bring Glory to the Holy One, bring awe and reverence to the hearts of believers, and abound with rich Theology from the Scriptures. This is what music for worship is supposed to do. Well done!
Honestly, since I first listened to this concert and read the words via closed caption, I have been absorbing part of it every day with my devotions. It is food for the soul! Praise God!

In the LORD'S divine providence, this is the season of my life in which I am reading The Holiness of God. Chapter 2 spurred me to discover this concert, a treasure to lift my soul to the King's throne this LORD'S Day. Thankful for His gifts to the saints which produced such a blessing to His Bride.
Praise God! I will never forget the first time I heard RC Sproul on Z88 radio and later on someone told me he was at Sanford in a movie theatre for Sunday church. My daughter and I couldn't wait to hear such a teacher of the Word in person. He was a blessing that is for sure.
This just blesses my heart love it. It is even helping to chase away the addiction I had to listen to name and claim it songs 🤭 I wish we can have more
The kind of concert that I will defintely enjoy very much. Glory to God, Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit..God in three persons....Holy Trinity..!!!

Worthy is the lamb was my first favorite, but as I listened more, highland hymn felt like it was written for me! As a flute player, I love the imagery of being able to play in worship at the Lord's return!
Oh how we miss him! But, thanks be into our God, we shall see him again and enjoy our LORD forevermore! Take courage ye saints of the LORD! I became doctrinally sound when I embraced reformed theology! He like so many other faithful men of God has been a blessing to my weary soul! It is so rich as the focus is on our God, Yahweh, His Christ, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit!! How blessed are we as His children! To partake of such Love is truly too wonderful for us to comprehend; and yet, we know it is Truth and Eternal! I pray our God continue to bless RC’s family and see them safely Home to Himself where they will be reunited in the faith and Presence of our Holy God! I am simply overcome this morning with the joy and peace of the LORD! May His Light shine ever so bright in the midst of a dark, sinful, and perverse world! Although we pray for our country, we know this place is NOT our Home! Bless God! 💕🙏🏽✝️🇺🇸

Does anyone know the instrumental song playing in the background while RC narrates the opening? It was really well orchestrated. Would love to know the song or it is available to download without the narration.
+Sergio Tapia R.C. Sproul's words... One hammer in the hand of an obscure Augustinian monk changed the world forever. Martin Luther posted his Ninety-Five Theses on the church door at Wittenberg, Germany calling his fellow professors to examine issues of supreme theological importance. Thus began the Reformation through which the light of God’s Word was brought out of the darkness to shine with clarity once more. One of the central cries of the Protestant Reformation was this: "The just shall live by faith." Luther’s development of the doctrine of justification by faith alone recovered the gospel that had been hidden during the Middle Ages. And at the center of that gospel is the affirmation that the righteousness by which we are declared just before a holy God is not our own. It's a foreign righteousness, an alien righteousness, a righteousness that Luther said is extra nos---apart from us. Namely, it’s the righteousness of Jesus Christ---that righteousness that is imputed, or counted, for all who put their faith in Him. Because of that affirmation Luther was involved in serious controversies---controversies that culminated in his being brought to trial before the princes of the church and even before the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Charles V. And there at the Diet of Worms, summoned in Germany, Luther was called upon to recant his views. He answered his interlocutors by saying, “Revoco? You want me to say, revoco? That I recant? I will not recant unless I am convinced by Sacred Scripture or by evident reason. I cannot recant for my conscience is held captive by the Word of God. And to act against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me.” In every generation the gospel must be published anew with the same boldness, the same clarity, and the same urgency that came forth in the 16th century Reformation. The church has always done this in both the spoken word and in song, producing hymns that tell us of the great salvation that is wrought by God alone through Christ alone. These hymns that you hear tonight are sacred music for the church, giving glory to the Holy One.
Sadly, in his later years, that same Martin Luther became an anti-Semite, something that is constantly thrown up at evangelical disciples of Jesus who endeavour to share the truth of Yeshua with modern Jews.
Let us be grateful for glimpses of the Holy One but not forget all humans fall short of the perfection of God. I believe God allows these imperfections this side of Heaven so we don’t worship anyone but Him.
@@valeriemccall2513 I agree with that very much I recently found out that Martin Luther King Jr (no relation) was a heretic and didn't believe in the resurrection of Christ
