Jennifer needs to understand that making something "memorable" does not have to be expensive. She is too materialistic in my opinion. The whole statement that Jackie's kids will forget their birthday parties easily is just low. Does she not remember that how her feeling were hurt when Jackie said something about her kids. I couldn't believe how fast she looked up the cost of her house and how much rent she gets. I could see the fumes coming out of her ears as she was ready to explode. Jackie handled it beautifully. I was uncomfortable watching how Jennifer was so into Jackie's finances. I mean what else would you buy for kids to eat at a KID'S party besides pizza, hot dogs or hamburger's? The fact that Jennifer wants Jackie to spend her money so bad is weird as hell. They're literally arguing about why someone doesn't want to spend their OWN money.

The middle eastern culture has the mentality that when the host provides a good variety of food, the host is generous and not stingy. That’s where Jennifer gets that mindset. She has very lavish taste, but I understand that one part of what she’s saying. Even our poorest people will serve their guests anything and everything they have as a sign of gratitude that they came and respect.

i come from a background that shares the same mindset when it comes to hosting and my mom definitely went all out with food whenever we had guests.
but i don’t really care if the food at someone else’s party was takeout as long as it was edible and accommodated everyone’s tastes. if anything, something familiar gives me less anxiety because i tend to not like other people’s cooking and i don’t have to worry about looking rude if i don’t take something.
it’s a KIDS party and kids are notoriously fussy eaters anyways. anything else besides pizza or kfc they wouldn’t have touched.
the only time i might’ve had a problem with it was if the pizza had a million toppings besides cheese or pepperoni.

She also revelaed that she's frugal in real life and only wears $1 store makeup. So this act she's putting on about opulence and appearances is part bluff, part ignorance...or both...and Melissa is right, you don't create and keep generational wealth by spending everything in a single lifetime.
