Correct. To the Authoritarian, “there is but *ONE* true correct way of being” - and most people don’t measure up to that standard of “accursed perfection.”
Also, the beginning of the Holocaust - the practice for the big time - was Aktion T4 - the war on the disabled.
Hadamar, Hartheim, Grafeneck and the others were where the implementation of the Final Solution was actually “worked out,” and where many of its chief artificers learned their grisly “trade.”
All “failures” of that accursed time and place had their marks of dishonor - their testimony, visible to all of the “faithful” (National Comrades) - of how they did not measure up - how they could not be *synchronized* (German: Gleichschaltung) into that hell-wrought time and place.

The first sweep of viruses from the Europeans happened in an incidental way not as part of an attempt to wipe out populations. Later, some learned that passing out contaminated blankets worked, but the vast majority (tens of millions) died due to simple contact. There is a major difference between an intentional act of murder and accidently spreading a virus.

I say the 'de-evolution is the falling away of the Love principle. This principle is at the center point of the Christian message. The true message taught by Jesus is to want for everyone, what you want for yourself. He summed this up himself.
It seems to me that the 'loud ones' calling themselves Christians, have abandoned his central message, in favor of end-of times prophecies of Revelations. That book was written by someone else decades after Jesus past the scene.
Anyway, what you could do, in the right situation, ask this question: "What about Love?" Because this is the reason for which we were made. And you were made unique. Your DNA is proof. You cannot be 'replaced'. You be that blessing to the world, that you were meant to be. That is what we need the most.

@@yurei8 It does not take a scholar, or even an adult to understand _"The Golden Rule",_ the primary teaching of Jesus as you explained nicely, as it is at the very heart of all the major religions of the world. Your suggestion, like the concept of pacifism, is filled with good intentions and light, but like pacifism, it is less than effective in the real world and sadly, unrealistically naive.
Those lacking empathy often cannot grasp the concept at all. And those motivated by a fear of mortality and the false sense of isolation that creates a fear they lack the courage to face build a house of cards of denial, while this fear manifests as self-hatred that is projected outward in a desperate attempt to affix blame upon anyone or anything. This is a pathological compulsion, and most often not chosen behavior and is immune to logic and reason.
Sometimes lighting a candle forces some to run for the shadows, my friend. Love is the driving force behind the universe, and in a sense IS God. But many are unable to see that which to some is obvious, and draw their conclusions not unlike the parable of the blind men and the elephant.

As CEO of the ADL addressing/explaining the hate Israel has towards the Palestinians would be a topic worth discussing. Israel is basically wiping the Palestinians off the face of the earth. Um....I want to agree with some of what you say, countless Palestinian families have been harmed by Israelis, but you've peeled one layer of a historical onion with far more layers than I can tell you know. And for reference, the number of Palestinians is not only growing, but growing faster than Israelis. So that's not exactly wiping the Palestinians off the face of the Earth. Add to that the many Palestinians who are happy to have Israel, especially when they know what the surrounding choices are. You're right, you're wrong, you're all over the place and standing in place. What you're saying is like watching someone play with TNT who has never had a lesson in explosives.
Here's an idea: watch the YT videos here of Corey Gil-Shuster (like, all of them) if you want to have both confirmation of your opinion and shattering of your opinion. It's WAY more complex, and a great portion of Israeli society hates the governmental stance. Just as with the US, the left has a harder time organizing, as they fragment easier than dogmatists.
And fwiw, I've detested Israel's government pretty much since intifada. That's only outweighed by my sadness that WB and Gaza haven't ever found someone brave enough to represent them as one voice unified regardless of threats to their lives (by god knows whom, often people who identify also as Palestinian or Arab, Hamas or some more violent splinter group. The problem is the deregulation of media ownership. Before Ronald Reagan, it was Illegal in the US for a corporation or individual to own more than 3 media outlets. The deregulation of media ownership has allowed Rupert Murdoch to create a multinational media monopoly specifically designed to undermine electorates of every english speaking nation by dividing the people and fomenting hatred and knee jerk opposition between fellow countrymen. This had been exacerbated by the rise of Social media that has algorithmically optimized the radicalization and balkanization of national identity into hundreds of squabbling factions that are pitted each against the other in their desperation for shares, likes, and retweets. The idea is simple…. To prevent the electorates of the liberal democracies from forming ANY electoral consensus on how to address the Real problems created by an income inequality rivaling pre-revolutionary France or the era of the Robber Barons. Its a class war of dividing the people so they can’t do anything about pollution, global warming, rising poverty, and a disappearing middle class, because half the nation has been brain washed into opposing the other half as trying to ‘destroy’ their country. Its time to regulate media. Stop the hate speech, and the disinformation. We passed laws in the 60’s to outlaw corporations LYING in their advertising. Well, Fox News and Facebook are corporations selling an agenda. It should be illegal for them to broadcast falsehoods and misinformation. Yank their FCC license. Shut down facebook and instagram and twitter. And tell their owners they can’t do their business until they can put some curbs on the abuse, the bots, the weaponizing of their platforms by foreign nations and domestic billionaires. It should and does for most give us a connection with all of humanity, because we all from the same source, which is defined as God. But religion is also a tool, whose use is determined by the intentions of person using. People are murdered by hammers each year. That is a person using someone that tool for another reason than why it was created. That would also be a rare time, when you hear hammers being mentioned in the news. Religions have helped people build hospitals and universities. But it is used most often when we face the inevitable situation of death. Then it becomes a tool to try and make sense of our place in the universe and among humanity.
I see a lot of older people in church. They have used religion to give their lives greater meaning. I remember talking with a woman in church, who was around 102. Meanwhile we have more people on the planet than ever. It has helped many more people, than it has been used as a tool for harm. The real negative issue is power and control. And those that seek to control you will use anything they can, to do so. For example race is just general human physical characteristics, but it is sometimes used to fuel conflict. Nationality can be used as source of pride, but look at how many nations have gone to war.
I claim Christianity as my major guide, but I also learn and try to understand other religious philosophies. Most all have a goals of higher states of consciousness. Of these states, peace of mind, and peace with others is the ultimate goal. But most of all, the concept and practice of Love, is better understood and utilized. And in my current level of understanding, the practice Love is more important than individual ideologies. For example Charity is a form of love. Surely you have some kind of love within you? Love of anything, that has creative fruits is the definition of God in action. We humans believe in things we cannot see, such as atoms. Love cannot be measured, but it is a force of power throughout all of humanity. A bomb cannot build a hospital, but Love can, as an example.
Still, I thank you for your response. It gave me an opportunity to better understand the gifts that life, or God has given me. Such things are the keys to happiness. Seems like, for some reason, you are focused on negative states of being actions, and minimizing the Love that has fueled positive human progress over the centuries. it is your loss if you cannot recognize this. But I believe that, if you do not understand now, you will someday. So I bless you on your journeys!

If you want to relieve that instinct, you have to "convince" every human being that we are all "related." But those who "proclaim" difference need to "enter the fold." Identical chromosomes of ALL humans are the PROOF we are all cousins. There are no separate human races, only one. Race is defunct when referring to humans. Are you ready for that? Despite the title of the book Fear, Jan 6th, etc, I think we're neither discussing the properly framed problem, nor the big picture solutions yet. #FearIsTheProblem. Fear is the root of vanity, bullying, misogyny, homophobia, racism, bigotry and greed. Fear allows people to mentally wall-off their own empathy to virtually zero. #MakeBigotryShamefulAgain #BuildBridgesNotWalls #DeportMeToo #BanMeToo
Three of the biggest generators of fear are 1) out-of-control capitalism and historically unsustainable and exponentially growing wealth and income inequality levels (if you lose your job you might lose healthcare access, your home, car, partner, child custody rights, etc), 2) fear-mongers like Fox/Faux/Fear News, the GOP, etc. (they’re all out to get you, all the time), and 3) religion ('evil' is waiting around every corner, all your life with eternal unimaginable fiery torture as a deterrent).
Let's be honest, no amount or size of Great Walls, or military spending, or nuclear arsenal, or non US soil military bases and ops, or international weapons sales, or personal weapons and magazine sizes, or of school teachers with guns, or of privatized, militarized (and systemically racist) police and mass incarceration, or of mass deportations including the Dreamers, or of bans of entire groups of people, or of intentionally torturous (and often permanently orphaning) separation of immigrant children as a deterrent, or threats to shoot rock-throwing refugees, or torture of POWs, or control over women, or Space Farces, or border moats filled with snakes and alligators, or anything else will ever Make American Republicans Feel Safe enough...
Every single American Republican policy puts fear, bigotry (fear) and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy) and no single policy in the world in the modern era is as patently bigoted and of the scale as their continued fight to ban (and register, and ''pre-arrest'', etc too) all Muslims (a bigotry-blanket of fear/hate covering all 1.8 billion people of all colors, from all nations, of all ages, of all sexes and sexual preferences, etc).
Fear (and the empathy and critical thought it kills) is what separates the right from the left. The fear at the root of ”Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.” -- Albert Einstein
Liberals hate American Republicans because all of their policies put fear and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy).
American Republicans hate liberals for the exact same reasons, because they’re afraid we’ll get in the way of their fear and greed.
We're closer to #AmericanCivilWarII than most people believe and just like before our own friends and family members would take up arms against us for not getting on board with their extreme greed and bigotries just like the Confederates in 1865 or the Nazis in 1938.
What do you think will happen to crime rates, peace and equality in general after we launch a livable min wage, universal healthcare, a universal basic income, universal education and internet for all, raising the starting point of capitalism from zero, we'll let you die with no money, to a level of life with dignity, reducing societal daily fears on a massive scale and freeing us to welcome the automation revolution with open arms rather than with fear and great harm? 😃 #EqualityMovement #BLM
Call me overly positive, but I think we’re leaving the era of ‘greed is good’ and celebrating wealth and entering an #EraOfAltruism and equality. Let’s #AutomateEverything and #SkipToAbundance.

People of color have been marginalized since the very beginning of our country. I am curious as to why you have only focused on the Jewish community and completely minimized the racism against people of color? There is a revival of hate all the way around, but specifically it never went away against blacks. From the title of this video, there is no revelation that the topic is only for antisemitism but rather “hate” - this is an example as to why every group is being divided - and people choose to be selective with where they want to focus and employ their hate and empathy towards. Hate is hate. Focus on that, illuminate it and destroy it! But instead we want to pretend that it either doesn’t exist or become selective with which group is being terrorized…..the most. The Shoah happened and we should never forget, but somehow we want to forget what happened to people of color and glaze over the other groups that horrific things have happened to.
My 95 year old father’s father was lynched forcing my father to join the AF in ‘43 and fought against nazism. I am fully aware of the Holocaust, but what about the Holocaust of other groups? Because it did happen. What about talking about 20 million people being kidnapped from their homes and brought to a foreign land and forcing free labor into them? We expect better from our country, but we need to talk about all of it in equal measures in order to heal.

Damian's story turns from horror to beauty as he understands and admits what he has done. It shows us that every last one of us can be redeemed. We all must try to do better. None of us is truly innocent. I am so proud of ADL for publically supporting Damian's transformation.

Maybe Mr Greenblatt should look in the mirror for many of the divisions in America. The ADL and other organizations such as AIPAC perfected buying political influence in American politics. This buying of influence to promote the state of Israel and Jewish interests has led to most of the problems today. Money in politics has inadvertently been the origin of these problems.

We need to accept it and eat with it head on and decisively. Some people are thinking the unthinkable, so let’s get them identified and called out. Blast them.
