      I love the forclaz trek100 down jackets. Great jacket for the price but in the UK you have to go up one size, so I'm a L but I need a XL. I have 3 of them, Great vid guys.

    A suggestion: Try placing an emergency blanket on the bottom of your tent before putting your mats and sleeping bags down. Very lightweight, cheap and gives good insulation from the ground. Also reflects light from a torch back up making the tent lighter inside on those dark mornings/evenings.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  Před 3 lety +1

      That is a great hack, have to give it a try the next time especially now that the weather is getting colder. One question: can you use it only once like that or it is reusable?

    • @outdoorsman1140
      @outdoorsman1140 Před 3 lety +3

      @@WalkingNatureWorld I have a dedicated one for sleeping on and use it many times before it eventually tears to much to continue to be used, but I’ve more than had my money worth out of it by then and just replace it as it is cheap. Be careful when unfolding and re-folding it to extend its life. It’s worth going for the larger size ones to give the extra width, but as there are two of you two standard size blankets side by side might give full coverage of your tent floor.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld

      Outdoorsman, question: can you reuse that blanket? Or are they a one time use?
      How are you meant to pack it and keep it small if it's a one time use?

    • @outdoorsman1140
      @outdoorsman1140 Před 2 lety +3

      @@bluebellcrushedvelvet If using it as a heat reflector for the bottom of your tent to reduce heat lost to the ground, it can be used many times. Expensive inflatable sleeping mats like Thermarest have heat reflective foil or similar inside them to increase the R value to reduce the heat lost to the ground. You need to be careful when opening and folding it up to make it last a long time, but it will fold up fairly small (not quite as small as a brand new one though). When it's worn out or torn too much, just get another, but you'll have had your money's worth out of it by then.

    I ve got from Decthlon a microfiber towel, a rain poncho, a backpack, hiking shoes, sport shirts, swimsuit, I think some more things too, everything had a budget price and was very durable and long lasting. I cary in my backpack some extra clothes, a rain poncho, a survival blanket from Decathlon like yours, flip flops, gas stove, cutlery and pot, a plastic water bottle and some toilettries.

    Hey!!
    My favourite decathlon (I think you need to pronounce is deCAthelon) item is my backpack!!
    It's amazing!! It's the forclaz 500 women's backpack!! 50:60 L!! It's amazing!!!
    So many pockets to organise, great system to open from the front with side pockets on top of the mesh pockets, AND a fantastic bottle holder at the right angle on one side to help reach for it and tightening mechanism to hold it all in one hand!! I absolutely love it!
    It looks beautiful and it is so functional and comfortable!!
    10/10 from me!
    I don't feel like I need to upgrade in the future! 😊😊😁
