How Chipolo, AirTag and Tile stack in terms of tracking was the important bit I expected, but sadly seems to be absent from what I expected from an "Ultimate Comparison
Chipolo does alert you when you leave the device behind. Much better than tile as you have to pay extra to have that feature.

It's too late when you realized your lost your item. That's why I switched from Tile to Nut Mini. I get an alert on phone immediately when I left my wallet behind. And it's cheaper!
I wonder why apple doesn’t put their tracker tech in their new appletv remote.
I was part of the crowdfunding for Tile and eagerly waited for the release of V1. The first thing I thought was--how is the battery replaced. Sort answer, it doesn't. You toss it and buy a replacement! I did get a bunch of V2 when my V1s died as the alerter was louder. I vowed that I would not get any further Tiles until they had them with replaceable batteries. They finally did with the Tile Pro, but also jacked up the price. I feel a bit miffed that as one in the crowdfunding group to get the company and products to market, Tile would not provide a bigger discount for customers.

You should specify where tile has the good user base. I would say it doesn’t really exist outside USA ;)
exactly ... chipolo is now at Find My system so, if you want to save your money, you can buy chipolo and have same function as Airtag have, beacuse when someone with iPhone walk by your chipolo, you can track it like airtag do.
Especiali here in europe people have iphones, but really not this things like airtags, chipolo or even tile. So for me, can buy airtag or chipolo and it will work with other iphones.

You can just read the spec sheet like he did. He doesn't actually use have all them. He doesn't have AirTag or Chipolo One Spot. The Spot is not out until June. Just trying to get views!

Hi Andrew! If i leave a tracker in my car glove box and I park my car in in a multi level shopping centre car park will “find my” help me locate my car? Sounds like Apple might block this as a privacy issue. Once the tracker is outside the range of the iPhone then potentially this could be someone maliciously tracking. Please advise?
I also have this question, im a very organized person, i have no use for these tags but i order one and thought this is a good idea because it has actually happened to me that I can’t find my car 😆
It’ll show it in its last known location, which is your car.
Sounds like it will help me find my car as long as someone does not steal it! Once someone drives off in the car, particularly if the thief has an iPhone then the AirTag will tell the thief that they are being tracked! Disappointing! The privacy of the thief is more important than my finding my stolen car.
@@tonyward9554 Technically, the privacy of everyone else is more important than catching a thief, otherwise it could be used as a surreptitious tracking device. A Lojack GPS tracker is much better for locating a stolen car anyway.

What features does the chipolo lack when compared to apple air tag?
Mainly the U1 and NFC
I hope apple add support for utilising the Apple Watch 6 chip for those with older phones. I have a xs max which I’m still very happy with and a new watch.
It’s a hardware issue with those older devices, they don’t have the U1 chip like the iPhone 11 and 12 does
Why has no-one Discussed compatibility with older iPhones (xs/X/8/etc) obviously without precision mode tho? I just want to know if they will work with my xs max or my grandparent's XRs
They will work, but wont have the Precise Tracking mode which relies on the U1.
Chipolo is the best, more features and compatibility.
The tiles pro are IP55, AirTags, IP67 ... Not sure where you are getting your information from.
Hmm. There were quite a few sources reporting IP68. Including this guy here: www.techlicious.com/blog/tile-pro-trackers-waterproof-extended-range/
I checked multiple sources that all reported IP68.
The Tile helps me to find my keys, phone ,tv remote and wallet by ringing them. It also lets me know if I leave my wallet and keys at home. Tile has organized my life. I am not losing things anymore🙂

Did you test the range of the airtag yet?
I understand that these aren't supposed to be anti-theft devices, but why did Apple, in one of their graphics on their website, include an AirTag on a bike. If a bike can have one, can't a car have one as well? Granted, it would be for general tracking, but couldn't it be potentially be used in an emergency to track a vehicle? They did say it would start pinging after 3 days of being separated from the owner.
Ordered eight this morning, lets go! (replacing old / dead Tiles)
Air tags pros: Apple ecosystem, replaceable batteries, U1 tracking, water resistance, and seamless use.
CONS: No button to ring your phone, doesn't have a thin wallet option, not as great as anti-theft (thieves with iPhones can be notified of loss items), have to get adhesive and ring holders seperate.
Tile Pros: Button to ring your phone, several trackers, various price points, premium services, some have replaceable batteries and slightly better anti-theft.
CONS: Limited Bluetooth network (still the best Bluetooth tracking network), pro version vs non, some tiles have no replaceable batteries, some higher-priced trackers, and no ultra-band chip.

In a detailed spec comparison, what value does having the product in-hand offer? This is a sincere question and I genuinely would like to know your thoughts. I definitely am not trying to deceive but not sure how to make a thumbnail without showing an AirTag and getting accused of trying create clickbait. Clickbait is showing one thing to bring people in, then showing something else. The title and thumbnail both say this is a comparison and that’s exactly what I very intricately walk through during the video.

The biggest advantage to me, for Tile, is the ability to ring your phone from the Tile.
Chipolo can do the same (Double press your tracker)
chipolo all the way. Its the cheapest one with the most features. Smart alerts are free. Chipolo is also supported onm Android. Btw, if i have an Chipolo One Spot, registered on an Android device and i put it in lost mode, will i get notifications from Apple Users passing by or is this a AirTag/Track My exclusive feature
I agree with you. I own the orbitkey x chipolo and I love how discreet it is. Chipolo has Siri, Alexa and google integration. Plus you can actually ring your phone by pressing the button and use it as a camera button.

Does the chipolo allow someone other than the owner to disable it? That’s the real main difference.
All I want to do is stuff this into by bicycle and not allow a thief to disable it, short of taking it out of the frame and smashing it.
Think about that for a second. Tile compiles YOUR data along with OTHERS data and sells it back to you as a service. I'm not against them making a profit, however, considering what information they share with you on the free side of the service, it's horrid! Now compare that with samsung smart tags. Free compiled information, granted you have to have samsung devices to use it, but the finish on that is polished and tracking shows as a map with connecting lines of travel. Get it together Tile!

Here's what he doesn't tell you: AirTag can not find your iphone as it doesn't have a button to track your misplace iphone. Tile only works if the app is constantly ON in the backgroud on your phone.

Sorry but tile with 30m sold maybe 15m currently active is dead once 1B active 'finding' helpers become active. Its all about the network and apple will i think force tile to become a member or get lost on the side. The other option for them is to strike a deal with the other side (android) eco system to get to more finders. The gap between say 15m vs 1000m people wondering about to find your tracker is just too big.

I didn’t say I was testing them.. just comparing their features. We all know how they will operate as Find My is built into other products and I do have the Tile and Chipolo on-hand and have reviewed them both.

So you didn’t watch the video I guess. He almost seems to be sponsored by Tile, if that tells you anything.
AirTag is the only tracker that notifies the thieves that their stolen goods are being tracked and where the tracker is located.
Airtag is the only one that warns you if someone is stalking and following you and actually cares about your privacy. That’s the balance they decided to strike. That’s the beauty of having options as a consumer.
Exactly... Would rather have an option to track and therefore the possibility to retrieve my stolen camerabag, laptopbag, whatever, than having the stalker protection. Does it always warn you whenever a friend walks beside you who happens to have an AirTag on them?
I believe this notification will take some time to come into effect (needs to be moving and away from iCloud paired device; a "tag along" pattern is also required) and not chime if the tag is set to "lost mode". Getting mine soon, certainly going to look into this further.

Unfortunately; Tile’s future doesn’t look so good now that Apple has joined. Whenever Apple does something, the others in that industry are destroyed. I hope Tile can keep up. Just keep making better products!
They still have andriod(not including Samsung because they already have made their own version of airtags 3 months ago )
If by " destroyed " you mean " intentionally reduced functionality through permissions support, and app access across the board for tile users" then yes.
They degrade usability on their own products to make no apple products look like the problem. . How innovative.
Same with their satnav/sos capabilities. They claimed to do all the things Garmin does but in actuality they just bought out Dark sky...the weather service that supports garmin...and locked it behind their own app. Then locked most of the features you got with Garmin devices behind different pay walls across different apple apps.

Don’t go tile. Terrible company that’s dying out.
Airtag is still a Bluetooth device. If the person doesn’t have Bluetooth ON. There’s no connection with the airtag and iOS device. The find my app will send the gps location. Everyone talks about the find my network but it’s useless if people don’t turn on their Bluetooth.

It doesn’t really use any power...
It even turns it self back on automatically in iOS
It’s not just Bluetooth dude
Airtags send out a signal that every Apple device other people use that comes within on range will pick up and send the signal back to you
So you can actually loose an airtag Texas, then go to newyork and and when someone else’s apple device comes within range of your airtag back in Texas, it will get that signal and send it through apples find my service back to you in newyork to tell you it’s left back in Texas
Bluetooth is only needed when you are that close and you need to get directions right to it
