When I was in elementry school we had multiplication chart stairs, because in 3rd grade you would have tested every day were you would have to do multipication. Then when everyone was done with their test we would play board games with the teacher or with friends. We had 3 choices of board games. It was really fun especially since are teachers in the class were so nice and calm when someone did something bad.

When I was 6 my school had this thing called the "Imagination House" which was basically a 3 story shed in the classroom with slides in it. Each floor was differently decorated for each floor and each term, the teachers all changed it and the theme would change too (eg fantasy, video games) I think the point of it was to help us think of good ideas for stories and to just create a "good place to read for kids".
