im sorry but for 50 years ive been telling folks that last line makes no sense, she must have changed it from "keep your head" cause the line about lopping off heads isnt about doing lines. the hippy culture did some weird stuff for their masters. ms slick had a craft shop in evanston IL about 15 mins from me, i should drive over there and inquire, discreetly. the dormouse would sleep so sound, that starving peasants could walk right up and pick them up to eat them. maybe the laurel canyon club talked her into making the last line trendy. im 67 and unless they got money trouble under the name airplane, thats a bizaar move to change your name to starship- mid career. that worked like a mofo, so the trend sells. plus points to mickey thomas. "to the friendly skies" line comes to mind in a CSN song. meaningless to future generations.
