I liked the way he twisted the lyrics a little to make it his own, but again it was to fast. I felt like he didn't understand that song and put it to heart. I think he just said the words. When he sang it missed something: SOUL! The only place you can find soul in music is in the late 1900s music! No where else! I am only 14 and I ONLY listen to oldies music

So much better than the original singers, puts them to shame. Clay was definitely a leg up above Ruben. Don't get me wrong Ruben was a great singer, but in my opinion I hear more flaws from Ruben, Clay has a much more diverse set of vocals. Once you heard Ruben sing one song you've heard them all.

The way he sang his 'r's was bizarre, and I didn't like the way he changed the rhythm, but damn that boy can sing.
Clay always looks like he's having so much fun up on stage, whereas the contestants this season all just seam a little 'dull'
