- Star Wars stop motion. Stormtroopers failed attempt at rescuing fellow troopers from a rebel spaceship has got them captured. Darth Vader comes to the rescue.
Fan made short stop motion film based in the Star Wars universe.
Figures are from the 6 inch Black Series. Used 5 stormtroopers, 4 fleet troopers and the one Darth Vader.

When did stormtroopers start aiming so well? Two shots and two hits?
I think he just increased the Empires overall shot accuracy by 90%.
Stormtroopers can be quite deadly when the rebel scumbags do not have plot armor.
George Lucas said that the troopers aren‘t bad at aiming.
It‘s the force that protects the Jedi or Force Sensitives.

This is a nice nod to the fact he would take this kind of thing personally because he cares about his squadron.

Thanks, yeah they are the only ones. Got them off Ebay for around £10, somewhere in China. Quite good replicas. Black Series has slightly better mobility in the joints I think though.

@@HawkinsBrosGaming thank you, I shoot at 15 fps, I have done a few things at 24fps but for the time involved in doing 24fps there wasnt a lot of difference, so everything is now 15 fps =)

I did some of the rebels, however I am not much of a voice actor so I paid someone on fiver.com to do a few. As for the stormtroopers I got them off of CZcams videos, there is a few with loads of voices.

I use a program called Dragon Frame to do the stop motion and then do the special effects in After Effects

Yeah, I kinda forgot about him when doing it all. To this day some still say he lays there.
That’s a war crime taht the rebels did they comtieed way to many war crimes and taht angers me when the empire only does one teh rebels do a million of them cuase executed no pows is a war crime no matter if one of them had a weapon you still caint kill all of them so wow the rebels are crazy but I love teh animation

Please please tell me your frame rate. I usually stick to 12, but do like 24
Sure. This one I did at 24fps, however there is a lot of frames that I held for around 2/3 frames every now and then so it would be more true to say its around 16 fps.
I think 12 is a good number, smooth enough to look good.

I completely agree with you, I was thinking on and off about it for a while. Ideally I would like to buy a model and do it that way, just didn’t have one at the time.
