  • Here is a look at the baby quilt I made for almost free, using reclaimed fabrics, materials and new fabric. It is modelled after a quilt that my great aunt made for my baby almost 30 years ago. I am keeping up the family tradition and have made a similar one for my niece. I reclaimed the batting from a clean, unused mattress pad and used one of our old sheets for the backing. The binding is made from a man’s dress shirt. Even the thread I used to quilt it was thrifted! The only element that I purchased new was the fabric for the quilt top. I hope you enjoy my process and are inspired to try making a sweet and simple baby quilt too! Thanks for watching!
