Why can’t we just have a home for the x-men? I don’t want them to go back to the old ways. Mutant on mutant gang fights. I loved the hellfire galas and how any mutant could be an x-man. They had a language and economy. Damn we had it all.
I agree with you a million percent! Unfortunately from the moment hox/pox popped off the non xmen fans were trying to get everything back into the mansion. The truth is, these other books NEED mutants! Xmen 97 is living proof
Kevin Feige mandated that Krakoan Age end because he wants the comic books to resemble what we see in the cartoons and upcoming movies he has planned for mutants. I agree its a HUGE step backwards for mutants in terms of storytelling. This is why I am not going the buy the new X-Men titles - its just the same old same old - mutants in base fighting "evil" mutants and mutant haters. Boring and unoriginal. I'd rather see a monthly Krakoa in the White Hot Room monthly title.
@@rjhemedes Stupid thing is, Hickman's Krakoan age actually made some sense of 30 years of extreme writing and convoluting retcons and resurrections, should have started off the Mutants in MCU this way, rather than excessive origin stories

I’m satisfied with what we got! I’m very happy that Krakoa will get to live on and not get rebooted out of history.
So bittersweet…this era was so groundbreaking & will be missed. On to this new era and lets hope for the best 🙏🏽
FINALLY! When this era started, I said, I was going to read it after its completion. Man, am I GLAD to have made that decision! After Marvel chased Hickman off the X-men, this era has become an utter fustercluck of books, crossovers, minis and creative changes, that I'm glad we're done!
Did they chase him off? Someone said he left of his own choice due to only coming for the money.
@@admiz6592 he wanted to move forward with the story, the other writers and editors didn't let him do it for months, so he quit. The results are evident, aren't they?

the FIRST Krakoan age, was just as surprising a timeline reveal as when we learned Cable GREW UP in Krakoa and had kept it a secret!
I want the deeply flawed Charles to go away. I want the Charles I knew for decades, the teacher his students could trust.

I'm sad that the Krakoan Age. Its what made me start reading X-titles again after Marvel tried replacing the mutants with Inhumans. I was hoping to see Jean Grey mop the floor with Apocalypse just to show him who the real boss is. I'm glad Krakoa in the White Room is now the mutant city version of what the Children of the Vault have. I'm really annoyed that Kevin Feige mandated that the Krakoan Age end because he wants the comics to mirror what's going to happen in future movies. On the plus side, I will stop buying the new X-Men titles since they have nothing truly original stories to offer, but will give the new Phoenix, X-Force, and X-Factor titles a try. Side note: I don't think they resurrected Hope, because they mentioned The Four, instead of the Five. So the Four can resurrect in the White Hot Room since Hope merged back with the Phoenix/White Hot Room. Finally, the newly merged Krakoa resembles the version of Themyscira that Phil Jimenez created for the Amazons in Wonder Woman during the early 2000s.

This era definitely put major respect on alot of mutants names. Nightcrawler,storm, iceman and magneto all deserve some high praises.
I liked the action with Apocalypse,he smashed Exodus's face just like Ken from Street fighter og games gets defeated and it's shown his beat up face and bleeding nose🤣.That's the OP Apocalypse we like ,Jean and Storm pretty much watched idle when he was beating people left and right 🤣, he paused when Jean tried to reason with him when he punched Emma into the ocean 😂.

As Prisoner X, I hope there will be a From The Ashes arc in which the X-Men rescued Professor X from imprisonment. Maybe Genosha will rise again and signal the 2nd Krakoan era.

Wow so Marvel gave Krakoa the Children of The Vault treatment that’s in another dimension where time passes faster.
Im happy that Krakoa is back and the mutants have returned. I am confused about Exodus' and Apocalypse's reaction to Krakoa's mutants' choice to stay or go instead of just going to Mars with the other Arakki mutants.
Also, was Iceman resurrected in the White Hot Room too? Is that how he is back? What about the Iceman generated by the empath?
But this storys hurts reading as a professor X fan🤧😭

That is a rule at Marvel. They let people be creative but eventually put everything back where you found it.
Reminds me of kamis palace from dragonball but inverted. White hot room being the hyperbolic time-chamber and i guess krakoa is now kamis palace which sits inside it.
I'm glad Charles isn't dead. He needs a redemption arc. This was a great ending! I'm looking forward to the Second Krakoa age.
Charles already redeemed himself by convincing Moira not to side with Essex Dominion. He did his part in saving all mutants.

I didn’t think they could pull off such a powerhouse story arc, I stand corrected and impressed. The X-Men have always been my favorite Super hero team since my youth. The Struggles were relatable and their fight to overcome(Team Scott and Jean) I waiting to see if they can ever go back to Graymalkin?
I LOVED this! It also gives the X Men a sort of afterlife, which is I think the next philosophical area they are planning as a theme.
Look i have mixed feelings about his xmen run. Dont get it twisted his FF and Avengers/ New Avengers run was straight fire
I think Apocalypse's successor's going to be Rictor!
I stopped caring when they decided Jonathan Hickman should not finish the story. This is a time I've been waiting for.
My favorite parts of the Krakoan Era were:
1) Storm and Wolverine flirting during the Sword of X contest.
2) Destiny and how well she was written as a character. The Inferno story arc left me rooting for her and Mystique who was being manipulated by Xavier and Magneto.
3) Cassandra Nova and her anti-hero redemption story. She was so good at being bad. I love her narcissism and the way artists drew her.
4) Mother Righteous who had such a stunning design and was a great manipulator.
Hopefully we will see characters like the Blob hold up some of the more heroic aspects they picked up while living on Krakoa. I hope we get to have Destiny resurrected soon.
I’m sorry, but why is there even a fight if Phoenix Jean is right there? Why can’t she just stop the conflict before it even starts?
They wanted to build up Apocalypse even though we all know Jean Grey would mop the floor with him if they had a tussle.

Like, who all aren't in the White Hot Room? Do we just assume smaller named X-Men/Mutants that aren't mentioned are on Earth so they can appear whenever? Like, where is Pixie? Armor? Wolfsbane? I know one of the five Cuckoos is in NYX, but the others?
I mean it couldn't be as bad as when they returned their teenage selves to their time line haha

Man, I am super not cool with Apoc throwing a tantrum over not getting more respect.
I think what they had wolverine actually try to do in this issue be really stupid and don't see how it makes sense especially when you consider the whole lives/deaths of wolverine event where we know how much he's very indebted to charles. besides that did love all the stuff that happened with charles here, got some nice conversation with max and also he has put backdoors to be able to still use his powers whilst imprisoned so he's not actually that helpless and pitiful.

I was confused why he was there and when he showed up.
Disappointed in Apocalypse. Hoping that his character could some more development. Don’t go back to being the villain, but having him as the anti-hero leading Arrako would be cool. The Krakoa era was cool, but it was way too many books like you said.

Thank the LORD this awful season of the X-men is over. My favorite heroes turned into horrible segregationist who gave up their ideals to generally follow magneto’s dream instead. What were the X-men fighting for all these years? It seems now they barely tolerate humanity especially their segregationist nation failed and they outright kill humans now.
Then it says that if mutants were left alone, they’d would create a utopia and everyone would get along. Completely forgetting the fact that there are such things as evil mutants: hellfire club, apocalypse, etc. Also if these mutants built a utopia on new Krakoa why would anyone leave?
The only saving grace was Apocalypse manhandling all these hippy dippy mutants. Now there’s the Apocalypse I know. Sadly he stopped.
Ultimately the Krakoa era was just the writers’ communist wet dream. They butchered Hickman’s vision and the X-men for this garbage. I’m glad it’s gone and thank you comic breakdown for the video I always enjoy them

Deep down the professor has always been kind of a bad guy and theres to many examples to go into , having said that he could of saved a lot of people just by exploiting his own powers but a Charles that kills is just to good to pass by
