Dustin Penner hey do you have any step by step plans for any of your projects?
Dustin Penner فریمان
Dustin Penner it was an attempt at humor, my writing skills match my woodworking skills. You do great work and pick cool projects. You make it look so easy, I thought I'd give it a try. Lets say it wasn't the result I would've liked. Ever try reverse engineering lumber back into a tree? Thats what I claim my various attempts of woodworking are, to justify my results.
Vari nice worke
Dustin Penner
That is wonderful .
So nice to see a craftsman at work
I'm impressed that you managed to make a 7 minute long video that people are actually willing to watch to the end! This is beautiful work, and the video is well made.
haha! Thanks!
Impressive. Like how well that spring works.
Awesome craftsmanship, no fluff, no talk, just an overall excellent job.
For some reason, watching this video is a pure pleasure.
Sweet! Like the pin hinges you used, good idea!
Fun project; I enjoyed seeing the various techniques and geometry come together.
Nice, my savings would fit in to the box, the small one of course!
Very cool dustin. I've always wanted to make something like that
Woaw! what a dizzy speed, but very exciting.
thank for sharing your how to.
i've to do right now.
thank for inspire me ,bro.
That 2 an awesome build!! Thanks for sharing
Fantastic idea and execution.
Wow! That's way cool!!!
Im officially jealous of your skill level, I've done woodworking for years and couldn't do work like that
All the click clack sounds throughout the video were amazingly satisfying. Also loved the finished product
Wood spring! Wow! That's awesome! I love it!
Aside from the top notch craftsmanship the best part of these vids are the machinegun hammering!! 🤣🤣🤣 Love it!!!
That's so cool! Beautiful.
wasn't expecting much, but was pretty much blown away. Good video
Wow, I love this sort of thing! It really is very beautiful as well as very cool!
Incredible Precision. Looks great.
I've been watching some of your videos and I love your craftsmanship. I've been telling my wife and friends how inspiring these videos are that I myself want to do some wood working as a hobby. Thank you for video and keep up the good work.
+Sergio Leyva you won't regret giving woodwork a try! Thank you very much.
Nice work! I would have made the other side a fake bottom just so both looked the same. Just a thought..
Very cool project!
Outstanding. Thanks for posting.
I applaud your genius, I wish I could just purchase that!
Okay, making that stash is on my Bucket List!
Very nice!!! If I may suggest, you may create a special place inside the box for the pin that is needed to open the secret compartment.
That was actually fun to watch. Nice work
Another great box design. You are really good at this!
+Jack Bench Woodworking Thank you!
great work, thanks!
Great build!
WOW! That was awesome!
Nice box and true hand finish
This should definitely be on the Weekly Woodworking Wrap Up Review this week!
My first WWWR project was walnut and cherry. Let's start a trend!!
That, good sir, is a plan!! :-D #walnutcherrylove
This was so professional!
I'm so jealous about Your workshop equipment :D
Man,your works are damn good...
инструменты - просто мечта *-*
с такими инструментами все возможно
Very cool! Beautiful as well.
That's a neat storage box. When I get a woodshop set up, I may have to borrow your idea.
I'd love to see pictures when you're done. If you need any clarification on certain parts feel free to ask b
Dustin Really inspiring work. I will try it some day soon. Mike
great way to keep your stash :D
Awesome video man, you're a beast
thanks bro I really appreciate it
Nice neat practical box. Imagination in finish and design improves security but may also increase interest of the opportunist thief.
*Started video
"Psssh.. 7 minutes? I'm not going to watch this whole thing."
I watched the whole thing.
+True 77 Exactly how I felt haha
Cool idea!
This is someone who definitely paid attention in woodshop!
I was a horrible student! Thank you very much regardless!
Pl
@@dpmakestuff but now you're the teacher. Lol. 👍
Definitely didn't pay any attention to the safety rules! OMG that was scary to watch!
Very fun! Great job!
cool design!
That's awesome.. very creative. nice job bro
loved it... i would make one if i had all those stuff... but really loved it
awesome!! love it!!!
I keep failing your channel gives me lots and lots of ideas 💡
I'd rather ORDER this than make it.
I know it's fun making it, but I don't have the tools to.
Buying the tools would be more costly than buying the finished product.
But your craft screams for respect! Great work sir!
+Diggy J I have one for sale on my website at the moment. Not like this one, it's my second design. Thanks!
reminds me of the secret compartment in my old school pencil case in school
Beautiful!
awesome skills there!
that is brilliant!
Beautifully brilliant.
great job man
Sneaky sneaky. Awesome
6:36, most satisfying noise ever.
Frosty Neon check out my small brass box video.
if i were to break into a house n i saw that beautifully hand crafted box id probably take it lol. even tho i wouldn't find the real goodies hidden within lol
Best video I've seen in a long time, well Directed with fast sound of the equipment, but not annoying like some videos .. this work what they call it "professionally done" ..
Thank you very much! That means a lot to me since I strive to make them look professional and am a complete amatuer! Thank you for watching!!
+Dustin Penner Sell me one and you will be a professional.
epic and genius just ... creative .
probably hard
Nice Contraband hiding spot! lol Sweet box.
+Rocky Constable Thanks!
The fast forward is great
Very Cool. Best video I've seen in a while. You are very talented!
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Excellent...!!
Cheers...
Cool!
I will give you an A+ 4 Construction but I am Green With Envy because of your access to all those tools
Looks so simple almost anyone could do it!
nice work man keep it up.. thanks for the vedio
I got a great workshop... I want that
You make it look so easy with all your fancy equipments which I've never seen in my life😉 I don't even know how i came here when i was only looking for diy on painting my kitchen cabinets. But it was awesome to watch this unlike other videos who talks a lot for making stuffs which would have taken lesser time. I just watched a video for around 20 minutes for repainting cabinets
Very nice, thanks for sharing.
Sensacional!! Parabéns!
Hey Dustin thanks for the post been a long time subscriber can you do a shop tour. Love the to see the setup. I have a garage and a half workshop so everything I have needs to be portable. I really enjoy watching your videos however I don’t have a CNC machine but I have most tools. Next pour has is going to be a bandsaw. Thanks really enjoy your builds. Would like to see you and jimmy diresta make something together. I’m also a fan of Alex Snodgrass
Very cool, Dustin - love it!
Thanks!
Dustin Penner
What is the hand-applied finish in the little can?
czcams.com/video/5abtwsk3T6Q/video.html
now I want one
Now that was cool I will have look at making one :-) it would be a good place to hide that something special :-)
excelent work !
Thank you for showing us your skills, your equipment and the skill to edit your video, but I think it is impossible to learn how to do your project. But it was enjoyable to watch
No that is a crazy attitude! This is a simple box to build. It just takes effort and time!
i always wondered what it would look like if superman was a carpenter hahaha, nice work...very nice work,
Great video. I couldn't work out what the rod with the gold disc was for. Pardon my ignorance, I'm new to this. I'm definitely trying to make one of these.
That is a marking gauge. Used to lay out consistent cut lines. Thanks!
That's how Santa gets all his toys made so fast. Very impressive work.
Wow that is an awesome box!
+MrHollick Fancy seeing you here =O
+TheBlackBeltPanda Yep the internet is an interesting place!
+MrHollick why don't you upload very often?
Brilliant!
Very very very cool!
Cool ideas.
Very cool. i secret stash box for your boo. You are a master wood worker.
You crafty SoB... that was awesome.
+tittiesprnkles Thanks!
+tittiesprnkles I would open this box with a sledge hammer, including the secret compartment!
No wooden box, secret or not. I have ever seen, resists a good few heavy swings with a 14 lb sledge!!
But why would you break the box?
It's not locked. You can open it and go through it's content without doing any work. Unless you know there is a secret compartment and can't improvise a key you have absolutly no reason to destroy it.
Except if you really want to be a jerk toward the people you're stealing from... but even then I think someone would notice you breaking in with a sledgehammer or hear you swinging that ridiculous thing inside the house. Not to mention the fact that your hit would probably destroy the contents of the secret compartment.
+Thomas Pettier "Unless you know there is a secret compartment and can't improvise a key you have absolutly no reason to destroy it."
Look at the last minute of the video. 6:40 shows the box's bottom and you can see that the "secret panel" doesn't match flush with the grain of the wood. That's no mistake he made as he made sure to label all the pieces and cuts he made through the video.
At 7:15 when he's done with the wood polish (or whatever it was, because it wasn't almonds), you can see it even MORE clearly that there's something that doesn't match flush with the bottom. These clearly give away the fact that something's not right with it and practically yells "THERE'S SOMETHING SECRET HERE AND MOST LIKELY VALUABLE".
Sure, you can argue "Oh I'll just make sure it's flush and then nobody will see it" or whatever. I would imagine that the person making this video would have thought of that and wouldn't go and make rookie mistakes and show it off in the video. Not only would that be bad on him, but it would also be passing around the rookie mistakes.
Tess Verres
It's obvious there is a secret compartment and a hatchet would make short work of this box. No need to work out how to open it, just spilt it apart with the axe.
Pretty, looks like something from The Room game for Android/iOS :-)
amazing!!
Very nicely done. I really like the design. Have you ever done any drafting? You have a real gift for design.
Thanks for sharing
Roy
Roy Wrenn wow thanks! I have never done any professional designing, but I wish I could.
Have you tried to go back to school? There's night school, online classes, there is a lot of options to choose from. I guess it's all up to you. Good luck with whatever you choose.
That's a great box and a nice project. Personally, I would have enjoyed it more if you made it a two part video and kept it at regular speed. For me, it was difficult to follow. Maybe I'm too old for this! :-) But again, a great project!
Amazing !
