I just had a really interesting idea... How about... At Halloween every year, Disney replaces all the Spanish safety rules audio tracks with recordings of the Spanish voice for Ernesto De La Cruz from "Coco" reading off the safety rules... Or maybe Hector? Maybe both, alternating between rides? It would be a really nice little "hidden gem" for El Dia De Los Muertos every year!

My daughter and I and my sis went to Disney last November. At first when I found out that it was "redone" for the Holidays, I was disappointed that my daughter wouldn't get to see it's original theme. But after going through it, I changed my mind. It was great!
Sunshine Day Disneyland is more of a regional park than a worldwide destination like WDW, so they like to change things so returning visitors can see something new
I miss the old one. The last 2 times I went were during the holidays. I mean yeah It is cool how there are differences each year but I miss the normal one.
I remember last year I was on this ride and this version and me and my mom got stuck at 5:27 for like 40 minutes straight. I was the most torturous experience I ever had.

LMG Vids the glass break sound in the stretching room that breaks really loud in Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion that I’ve been on, but sadly it’s not in the nightmare before Christmas, but instead they moved to the one in Tokyo Disneyland theme park in Japan, so Haunted Mansion can being seen in California and Tokyo version, except for the Orlando version in Florida that I’ve been on

I was there just a few hours ago. Is it just me or do they pump gignerbread smell into the ballroom scene? My car got stopped in the present area for a while... Got to see a skull pop up quite a bit. I could think of a few worse rides to be stuck in.
p3n p0rn You’re right, they do pump a gingerbread scent in the ballroom scene. They also do it too on “it’s a small world” holiday overlay when you pass the moving gingerbread men in the second room (Europe). Yes, it’s real gingerbread but there’s no way the smell of it would permeate an entire room as big as the ballroom. Once it’s baked, it loses it scent rather quickly and for the amount of time the overlay exists, there’s no possible way it would smell like its “freshly baked”.
It's real gingerbread. Did you know that? That may be the smell.
You aren't 'stuck.' They stop it often for elderly, disabled, or little kids need to get on and off and they halt or slow the conveyor.
That entire gingerbread house is real, edible gingerbread and made special every year for the holiday season.

I was so glad that most of the ride was the tune to "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" and that Lock, Shock, and Barrel were in the ride even though it was only for a little bit. I love those three and sometimes I think they are VERY underrated. Also, did anyone else notice that bad pun the employee said while everyone was going into the elevator?
I went on this ride this month (December 2018). I LOVED it!!! I forgot that it stopped. The original ride stopped about five times. I love how they incorporated Nightmare Before Christmas and the original ride. I loved it and got a few laughs.

There was this one point in the ride where you would see a bunch of these gingerbread people dancing, and you could smell the gingerbread. Its pretty legit

this was the second ride of the day on opening day, first being ghost galaxy. idk if you can tell, but there's a hidden mickey in the stretching room on the ceiling. it's small but fun to find.

I was there on the 7th.
That ride got a 30 min wait period within the first 10 minutes of the park opening. And the fast passes ran out so quick. Thankfully we got to ride it once. It was at 110 minute wait by the end of the day.

I’ve been to this ride before and I give it 50/50 because I wish sally was more animated- and I wish they had more animatronics instead of just a screen but more jack like the Santa version piece they had standing up but also his regular outfit and more.
You panned away too soon right after Jack breaks through the ceiling but new for Halloween 2018 is that the hanging body is seen dangling from the rafters.

Was anything added or changed in for this year? It doesn't look different to me. I think maybe Oogie is more festive, but I'm not sure. I sort of wish more NBXM characters were added in. Like maybe Doctor Finklestein could be added in, possibly replacing the hatbox ghost animatronic ONLY during the festive season. I always felt the overlay change could use more characters from the movie or at least add in Jack more. Really you only see him the pre-que area and towards the end and a few nodds here and there. Like I would love to see Jack's standard Halloween look towards the start and as the holiday draws near towards the end, boom, Santa Jack.
The reason why they don't have too many nightmare characters in is because it was supposed to be Jack coming to the haunted mansion and decorating for Christmas. Lock, Shock, and Barrel were supposed to be stowaways that snuck in the sack of toys. Sice then they have added Oogie and Sally so idk.
You might like Tokyo's version better. Jack and Sally have full sized animatronics 3-4 times in the ride. Sally plays a much larger part in that version and the Jack/Sally animatronics are much more impressive/varied.
If you guys didn't know, I'm pretty (pretty) sure that the nutcracker is new.(if I am wrong please tell me. Thx)
I wish they would bring this to WDW from November-January. I like how we have the original Mansion for Halloween. But since they did Jingle Cruise and now the Halloween Party overlays I’m hoping that we get more including Haunted Mansion Holiday!

Actually, Disneyland is an elevator, but Disney World has the ceiling actually stretch. So cool!
