I have a few questions regarding Shotcut 23.06.14. First do you have this version? I have watched your other Shotcut videos & though they are helpful they do not have information regarding this version. Secondly, Iam having issues with synching my audio with my video clip, I have tried using the information that you provided in your Shotcut 22.06 video, but it doesn't seem to work. I enjoy your videos immensely you seem to be extremely knowledgeable about video editing. Can you please give me some tips on how to synch my audio with my video? Any help that you provide is extremely appreciated, thank's in advance!

Ok, this "align to reference track" is a cool tool, but, as SHOTCUT developers haven`t introduced very basic and simple tools like "link clips" or "group clips", the possibility of usefulness of sync audio with video is very restricted, because the constant and stressful need to keep both this new video and audio parts in sync as long as the a complex editing process go ahead.
For longer more complex projects, it can be an issue. It is possible to work around it by syncing specific sections as you edit?

shotcut is perfect. no alternative for lower end pc´s. i use kinemaster on my phone and shotcut on pc (shotcut just for cutting and syncing (i make voice dubs) and kinemaster for effects and stuff... shotcut is very efficient... its pretty easy to cut videos into peaces and align them like you want.

Can't create a irregular mask without Glaxnimate in ShotCut? Just regular polygons?
James we have a problem! Dji osmo pocket 1 , latest firmware, (2.7/30) and zoom h2n (48/24) works fine together in shotcut, but using adobe rush the zoom's audio ends much more later when beginning points are in sync? No help from dji forum yet.

I just tested syncing audio with version 23.06.14 It works. Just right click Align Reference track. That there is one less step. If your video does not contain audio, then the feature won't work.

Here's what I did tell me if I'm wrong, 1st I detached the audio from the video 2nd I clicked align w/reference track & nothing happened. Are you saying I shouldn't have detached the audio? Also I am having problems making a voice over, I keep seeing a checkered screen & can only hear on one side of speakers. Please help. Will you be doing a tutorial on this version of Shotcut?
Would I be able to record a video of myself, then use the mask to remove the background so that I can use myself in other videos and backgrounds?
You can. It will be easier & faster to use a greenscreen.

Not at the moment. It will be tedious to mask a person's face or headshot. Plus people move around.

This software lags a lot on my hp elitebook core i7 _ 16gb RAM device.

Where as the updates have broken my software entirely. The software will randomly replace scenes and audio randomly create 3 min transitions there is now a noticeable lag when using more than two video tracks or using two audio tracks to layer audio it also now freezes and crashes at regular intervals and generally seems to have randomised the rules by which it functions. Audio that plays fine elsewhere lags in shotcut leading to endless editing issues. I'm one more frustrating experience away from deleting it and looking for a paid alternative because this is unusable in it's current state.
Have you tried re-installing? It may help
